Midweek break

Great location for banbury and cotswold area. The host met us even thougb it was pouring with rain. A couple of hitches were very quickly sorted. We stayed in the downstairs larger apartnent. Was very homely with everything you need for self catering. Our 2nd visit and will be back .

Marilyn was on hand to greet us and it was the hottest day of the year, so she kept the blinds down for us and offered to go in and open the windows when it got cooler while we were out - very thoughtful.

Good place to Stay, clean, safe and host was welcoming, bit of a bumpy farm track to access the site - but not a problem. Bed comfortable, OJ and pint of milk in fridge and Tea and Coffee provided. Would have been nice to have some Breakfast items provided and the electric shower is weak and cuts out heating water every couple of minutes if set to max - so you have to set it on economy mode. Second time I've stayed there and I would stay there again but it would be nice if the items above were sorted.

Lovely location and a nice welcome. The apartment was fine with all the things your require, plus there was milk and drinks in the fridge when we arrived, which was a lovely touch. But the apartment needs a very little bit of tlc. Parking was fine, right out side your apartment making it easy to unload and load.

Great Place to stay.

I would recommend ensuring you have the correct location on Satnav before setting off since the apartments are down a 100m farm track which isn't well identified. Expedia is spot on with the location. Met by the host on arrival who settled us in, a pint of milk, Tea Coffee, cereal and fruit is laid on - shops, pubs etc are nearby - either a 15 - 20 minute walk or a short drive. There's a list of instructions in the apartment - oddly one of the rules is to have put all kitchen equipment and plates etc away at the end of the stay - which means you can't just leave stuff cleaning in the dishwasher as you leave - which is tedious and means we had to clean all the mugs, plates etc before use since they appear to have been hand washed - and not very well, and hand cleaned them on leaving - no doubt whoever follows us in will do the same lol, Overall however we had a good overnight stay - the beds were comfortable and the shower was a little temperamental - on high power the water heater kept cutting out - so hot - cold - hot - cold etc. changing the setting to Economy mode sorted the problem. Would I stay there again - most definitely. If I were running the place what would I change - well I guess it would be the apartment instructions - bit too prescriptive and kind of set slightly the wrong tone - our host was far more laid back then the instructions appeared - oh and I would take a look at the shower......and the Venetian blinds were broken - but hey - these are niggles.

A hidden gem worth finding

A real gem, very clean and new with some really nice touches i.e. milk, water, orange juice in the fridge plus fruit and chocolates for guests, friendly welcome and use of a full bungalow
