We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. We had booked a suite and were excited about the waterpark next door. The hotel looks nice from the outside but the rooms are dated. The suite is very roomy but very sparsely furnished. There is a sofa for two people and and uncomfortable whicker chair. At the desk is another whicker chair as well as four around the table. The bed in the bedroom was okay on one side of mattress but the other side was impossible to sleep on without a back ache. The TVs are way to small for the size of rooms. You can hardly see them. The bathroom was a nice size but there must be some plumbing issues because all night there was rumblings and smells coming from the bathtub. The major problem we had was the loud music all evening until 2 am on Saturday evening. There was some event going on and I phoned down to ask what was going on. Apparently, there was a grad dance next door. There was no warning ahead of time, no offer to move us - nothing. The next morning my husband went downstairs to complain again and the front desk promised to express our concerns to the manager. We heard nothing from anyone until we checked out. All they would do to compensate our sleepless night was take off 28 euros for parking. The manager was rude and ineffective and then proceeded to correct my German. That's when my husband lost it. I am a Canadian speaking your language quite fluently and you are correcting my German? We will never return here and I am thinking if this is what Wyndham hotels support, I won't be frequenting their chains either.
We stayed at this hotel for one night. While the room was adequate and the staff friendly, I don't think that there should have been a charge for parking. This is not a big city where you would expect that. The food was average but there certainly was a good variety.
We had a very nice room with an extra bed. The Hansedom poole and spa is exxelent. We had a facial massage, wich was so nice. We ate at the restaurant for two nights - they are som serviceminded for kids. My son loves it :-). Love the way, where you just use the roomnumber as "payment". We booked the room and a four day stay through Hotels.com - easy. - BUT when we checked out wee got an extra bill for two days for using the Hansedom pool. The first two days were included and the last two days we payed for. That is not logical, half is for free and half you pay for, and I have no chance of knowing. I was told two times that i made a bad booking through the internet. Hope it could be more transparant when you book on-line. I dont mind paying, but I like to know what I am paying for, - no surprices. However we had a wonderfull and relaxing vacation. It was our second time at the hotel - And we will come back one day.
We booked a suite on the top floor with a great view and the floor almost ti ourselves. Our two children (age 9 and 12) slep in the livingroom. One on the coach and one on an extra bed. They had their own toilet and we also had a big bathroom with both shower and bathtub. We used the mini bar as cooler for a little food of our own. There were also a boiler for tea and coffee, but unfortunately no coffee. Just tea. We asked for it and were promised to get some but it didnt come. Later they told us that they had run out. The beds were great - we slept wonderful. The wifi was fast and stabil. The staff in the reception were very helpful and some of they spoke both english and german. Especially Fabian Fischer was a very serviceminded and humoristic man! Thanks. The restaurant is very effective with all the guests. The morning buffet was great with many different choices. We had buffet for dinner twice. Italian and maritim. It was ok. Some dishes were really tasteful (especially the cold ones) and some a little boring. Our daughter missed some more child friendly dishes - where the ingredients are kept seperate so that you can mix it as you like. The water and sauna world is great fun and not too crowded. Best after 18.00. Nearby (5 min walk) there is a big shopping center with supermarket and lots of shops. 10 min in car ti reach the wonderful old town of Stralsund. The girls had their nails done in Beautynails and lots of fine cafes. We also spend a fantastic day out on the island of Rügen - 50 min in car. All in all a great stay and we would like to return.
Stayed at the hotel as part of a bus tour and thus had no choice in dinner and breakfast. Dinner was good but the breakfast buffet was truly amazing as it had an overwhelming selection. Did not have enough time to visit the water park, so cannot comment. One slight disadvantage is the distance from the hotel to the town centre when you do not have your own vehicle.
Took Advantage of a 3 night Family stay offer with 2x HanseDom Access and 2x Dinners included. Unfortunately after our Long journey to the Hotel, we found out that that we found out that we required a Reservation to eat the dinner. Could not eat dinner in the Restaurant as a result and had to find a place in the City. This should be informed of in advance. Thank god we did not take up the Option of taking on the optional 3rd dinner for additional cost, as we would not have been able to take Advantage of it. The rooms were tidy, furniture a bit sparse, but OK. Beds were uncomfortable (unusual for a Name brand Hotel chain) - the queen sized bed was a too soft foam mattress (both wife and I had backaches each day, but we sleep on a good Quality spring bed at home), the children slept on a hide a bed in poor condition and very hard. The room used a "Clip" that was required to enter the room and needed to be put in a Special spot to turn on the lights. This quickly became annoying as if not everyone wanted to leave the Hotel room, you could not take the key with you (leared by error after going to get stuff from the car and leaving my wife in the dark in the bathroom). The meals were very good, Breakfast and dinners were great buffets. The HanseDom waterpark was good with many unexpected diversions, although too few seating options available. Internet was not offered upon check in. had to go to room and read through documentation to discover that an Access Password needed to be obtained at the check in Counter... another trip up and down. Elevators were slow and not intelligent (one small, one large). Had to wait 10 minutes sometimes as even if one came, It was usually full. After first day we started only using the stairs as we were on the 3rd floor.
Very comfortable hotel in good location. Front desk service was good but not all staff spoke good English. Had many dinners in the dining room and the food was very good although there were few healthy choices. The hotel is attached to a large indoor/ outdoor water park which is great for families. The room was very spacious with a small sitting area. Only one small complaint and that was the down pillows which were very thin and gave no support. About a 10£ taxi drive to the downtown area or the train station.
Room, food and therme as well as sauna was very nice. Have stayed here at least 10 times, and it has always been the first choise for me.
Nice Hotel with modern but cozy spacious rooms, friendly personnel, a great breakfast buffet and À la carte Restaurant. Nicely situated close to a big shopping mall and only 10 minutes from the city center/harbor of Stralsund with lots of nice restaurants and the fantastic Ozeaneum ocean museum. 45 minutes by car to the nice northern shore/beach of the beautiful island Rügen. The Indor/Outdor Waterpark is perfect for families. The Sauna section is a fantastic place to recover from every day stress.
lot of opportunities for fitness. food and beverage were unexpectedly good for an Italian like me
