excellent location, nice view from the room, spacious room, walking distance to city center, variety of parking possibility, public, on site in garage, recommended. Breakfast excellent, would come again

We where so happy that we have extended our stay in the Radisson Blue Senator in Lübeck. Beds where very comfortable and rooms are modern and very clean. We enjoyed the quiet and elegant atmosphere in this very nice and modern building as well as the good food and the great service in the restaurants.

We have stayed at this hotel 4-5 times and have never been disappointed. Very friendly and professional staff, nice clean rooms (some with a great view at the city), great local food (children up to 11 eat for free) and a very good breakfast. The city centre is just a short walk away. We love to stay in this hotel and will be back!

The reception was friendly and efficient. The hotel lobby is spacious and tidy. A decent sized room with nice views of the Old Town. Parking in front of the hotel is good and from Saturday night to Monday morning free of charge. Check-out was smooth.

Across short bridge from the old town, vast multiwing modern business hotel with great views (from many rooms) of Old Town, short walk to HBF and Old Town. Convenient for returning to the room and then back to touring the town. Lavish breakfast with many buffets and choices, pleasant staff. We chose an upgraded room with living room area. Sliding door to large bathroom with huge composite wood floor shower stall with linear drain. Many business meetings, including in lobby, but quiet hallways for our single night. Ample closet space. Brutal traffic in Lübeck, 15 minutes just to get through the worst traffic circle at 2:30 pm on a weekday.

We stayed here en route from Copenhagen to Berlin. Lubeck is a gorgeous town, and the hotel is well located 600m from the train station. So far it is the least expensive room we have stayed in during our Northern European trip. Our room was a good size, with a modern bathroom and a lovely view. The wifi worked well. We paid extra for the breakfast which was extensive. Only downsides were the lack of a fitness Centre, and we didn't love the shag pile type carpet on the floor. This hotel is good value for money.

We stayed at the Radisson Blu Senator on our way from Munich to Copenhagen, and were delighted at the location and quality of the hotel. The location is not far from the railway station, and also on the edge of the old city, well situated for a leisurely stroll through the town. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice view of the water. The staff was friendly and very helpful, providing maps for our walk and suggestions of places to see. In the morning, they cheerfully arranged for a taxi to take us back to the railway station in plenty of time to catch our train. I was disappointed that the hotel did not offer a complimentary breakfast, as is usual for many hotels in Germany, but it was only about a ten minute walk into town to find coffee and a pastry so we got along fine. This is a very nice, modern hotel with a gracious and professional staff.

Pluses: Location. Walking distance from the train station and the sights. Terrace. Very quiet and comfortable hotel terrace with loungers and a view over the old city. Perfect spot to chill with a drink (or without). Shower. Yes, as other reviewers noted, it makes a mess on the floor since it's not fully enclosed, but since it wasn't my mess to clean up, I didn't mind. Overall, the best hotel shower ever, particularly the simplicity of operation and control. Showercaps are a nice touch, too. Room size and the room in general. Generously sized, well-maintained, well-furnished. Mostly quiet - you can sometimes hear water noises, but these were rare and not disturbing. Huge plus (and pure architectural genius) - rooms are far from the elevators, so you're not bothered by elevator wooshes and dings during the morning breakfast exodus. Minuses: Huge minus for the pillows. I realise that some wear and tear is impossible to avoid in a hotel, but the old, saggy, lumpy pillows really deserve retirement and replacement (and if they are not old, then the supplier of these pillows deserves replacement and the hotel deserves a refund). It was like sleeping on a sack of potatoes which was hard, bumpy and paradoxically flat at the same time. I don't know if the reception keeps a secret stash of comfy pillows to be produced on demand for the pillow-snobs, but we didn't stay long so I didn't have a chance to ask. Some things in the room could use some cleaning, particularly the seat of an armchair and the blackout curtains. There's a certain moment when tolerable wear and tear becomes eew. For me, a sticky oily chair seat is that moment. Overall, would recommend. Would probably stay again, but only if the pillows in the other hotels are worse.

The new design of the renovated bath rooms is not satisfactory. No bath only shower, which is not closed in. When taking a shower it spashes the bath room floor. The space on the sides of the hand wash is too small. Questionable, if the hotel is good value for money any longer after the increases the last years!

I have over the years spent many nights at the Radisson Blu in Lübeck as I travel a lot between Germany and Sweden and it is a great place to stop overnight. I usually take a room with a view on the river Trave and if possible also the two spire church in the background. The breakfast in the morning is outstanding with a large variety of food to suit every taste. The rooms are comfortable. The parking garage is underneath the hotel. They have something unusual as a ice machine on the floor which is not particular German. If you stay a bit longer you will have time to explore the old Hansa Town and the delightful old buildings including the main entrance Gate, which is a must to see and you cannot miss it. If you come around X-mas time you can explore the delightful X-mas market. It is a must.
