For a six year old hotel, everything appeared (the decor, building and general amenities) a little tired and much older. The first room we were given had a slightly elevated balcony, which constituted a safety hazard, if you slipped or fell AND there's no public liability in Bali, folks!! There was no room to really sit comfortably or stand for that matter and we had a great view of the opposite wall and some corrugated roofs. The wife, inspired as usual, requested a room change. For $130 extra, we got a pool side room, where we could lounge on the verabdah and get direct access to the pool, great!! Bit cold as it gets little sunlight, and the tunnel of death, below one of the access way, is a real challenge. Breakfast was ok, bit basic, but some good staff at hand. Reception you really need to get together some sort of welcome/information file or booklet which provides guests with requisite facts on what is available in close proximity to the hotel. Great location, ten minutes to the beach, with a courtesy bus, if required, and a small area allocated to the hotel. Beach is tidy, with not too much interference from hawkers. If you love music go to Onion, Casablanca or the Wicked Parrot. The Three Monkeys was our favourite restaurant, but we genuinely enjoyed Sanur
The hotel was clean and nice, but it felt very little personal, and traveling alone I felt really lonely. The room was clean and the standard was OK, but with no decorations and nothing on the walls, it felt cold and empty, and I didn't feel like staying in the room. The wifi-connection was very poor. The service was OK, but overall the hotel felt way too big and impersonal.
First impression was oh wow this is going to be good .. Rooms spacious my daughter had her pillows replaced due to mould. They acted immediately..We had booked 2 rooms.Restaurant bit pricey sml Bintangs $4 each not real cold..Pool area looked nice and relaxing. Breakfast was ok not a big variety.Next door to Hardys was very handy.Good location.
My room is spacious and well designed, although maybe a little bit too dimly lit. The lagoon pool is a blast with the kids. It takes only 5 minutes to get to the Sanur beach which is also very beautiful. I has some qualms with the pillows though, they smells funny to me.
Hotel room and the pool was very nice! The staff was friendly and served drinks to the pool also. Breakfast was very good, lot of fruits and baked stuff serving. Staff was caring and helpfull. We stayd 2 weeks. Restaurant was expensive.
Just spent one night here in between other stays a nice enough hotel but was a bit disappointed with the breakfast I think there could be a bit more effort put in the room was nice enough with a very large bed overlooking the pool overall I enjoyed my stay very central an pleasant staff
We had a Lagoon Access room, very basic with a hard bed - not good for guests with back problems. The room was a bit shabby and dimly lit! Almost impossible to have a quiet pre-dinner drink on your pool side deck - screaming kids from 9:00am to 9:00pm most days, made more noisy by the "echo chamber" effect of the construction of the hotel. Public areas well appointed and the staff courteous, helpful and attentive. The hotel appeared to be a short stay destination (we were there for 10 days and saw guest turnover to be high). We would not stay at the Oasis again, there are much better options in Sanur.
Having stayed in Sanur before but miles from anywhere, we were looking for somewhere close to the main food strip. The Oasis Lagoon is certainly that, its located next door to the Hardy's Supermarket (handy for snacks and drinks). We arrived early as we were moving from one hotel in Legian to the Oasis, with the room not available i was offered a drink and I could either wait near the pool, or at the beach club or in the restaurant and someone would let me know when the room was ready. i choose to sit the lobby and wait, it was nice to see how other guests were treated. My wait was only about an hour, and then shown to our room. The room was a decent size, certainly bigger than some in Singapore or Hong Kong, with a king size bed (which again was the "firm" type you find in most of SE Asia). Being on the ground floor the room opened up to the pool and had two lounge bed outside the door. With breakfast on offer from 0630, there is pretty much everything you need, a selection of cereals, breads, pastries, fruit, pancakes, French toast and eggs "made to order" brewed coffee and tea or latte/cappuccino on order. Location is great, there are 100's of places to eat, from fine dining to snacking. Sanur is a little less hectic than Legian, so easier to explore. The hotel has it's only little beach area about a ten minute walk away, or they have a shuttle bus. Grabbing transport from the Oasis is easy, its reasonably central to most places and about 40 minutes in peak hour morning traffic to the airport. We had dinner in the hotel one night and food was great, service was excellent. Overall we really enjoyed our time at the Oasis Lagoon and would be happy to stay there again.
This hotel located in city center and Have easy access to see the surrounding beach with walking distance, Really Like the direct pool access from the hotel door room balcony That Just feel So comfortable and cozy.
We stayed for 3 nights at Oasis Lagoon Sanur in a family duplex. The hotel is right in the middle of Sanur, so it isn't a quiet and secluded place. This has the upside of restaurants, shopping and beach being close, but does mean there is plenty of noise - chickens, cars, and a weird concert using loudspeakers at 5.45am. The staff are lovely and the rooms are spacious and clean. Pool is refreshing. Breakfast selection is not extensive. The walls are also paper thin, meaning there is lots of noise from people in other rooms and that was a real downside for us as we had party-goers next door on one night.
