I moved to this hotel because looking for a place near to Bali Marathon event in Gianyar. It is actually affordable with swimming pool, but if you look to pamper yourself this is not the kind of hotel you would want to pick. Restaurant is big with few menus and the foods are so so. Far away from the beach and Sanur lifestyles. If you dont have a car, it's really a problem.
Took us 35 long minutes to check in after a long flight, the staff did not seem to have a clue. When we finally got to the room it was generally ok but was full of mosquitoes, not just a few but too many to count. we had to put mosquito repellent on to sleep. Nice hot shower which was good and clean bathroom and the breakfast was also fine. Would we return.. no.
We got 2 rooms and stayed for only 1 night. The staff were very helpful and it had a nice pool that our rooms backed onto. Good price and good location (we could walk through to Hardys and the restaurants).
Pros: Good aircon reasonably comfy rooms Nothing outstanding about this hotel but very few cons as wel Cons: Asked for double bed but actually just pushed 2 single beds together, didnt mind too much because it meant that the bed was huge. location is on the side of the highway and its a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. ASK THE FASTEST WAY TO THE BEACH. if you go north from the hotel its a long way to the first alley that leads to the beach. go south and its a lot closer.
Located in a distant from the main area in the city. Good for travellers who prefers to be away from the city buzz. Love the fact that the common pool is just outside the room. The parents' room was without lamp in the main area of the room but the staff were prompt to fix it the next day so it was good. I wish though each room is provided with a hairdryer & an iron as an added room facility. Breakfast menu was with minimal choices and taste wise was average. Managed to have dinner as well - decent taste and portion that comes with a decent price. All staff were friendly and helpful nonetheless.
An affordable hotel around the area and it has a pretty comfy room, yet it should improve its bathroom. The bathtub was clogged and the curtain was not in a good condition (too old to used anymore). Mc Donald's located near by this hotel, around couple of hundred meters. If you need a taxi, please do inform to the reception to order Blue Bird Taxi, otherwise they will ordering you taxi with no meters on.
We were in older part of resort (Garden Room) that overlooked a pool from balcany. The room is dated and in need of refurbishing. The shower did not drain well, so that was stressful. But the resort grounds are very nice, the pools were all very clean, and the breakfast buffet was fresh with a nice variety of Indonesian and Western foods available. The street out front of hotel has lots of shops and restaurants. From the beach, was an easy walk to Bennos, a restaurant that was recommended to us.
Been there for Nyepi Escape on 27th march to 29th march...I took no nyepi package since they were not provide the package as well. So i just took an access pool room without breakfast since it was the cheapest one...hahaha At first, i worried that i could experience bad at this hotel...but it was beyond my worries...everything gone excellent. The room is so clean, the pool is well maintained, the staffs and manager were very helpful and friendly and most important is the atmosphere soooooooo made it !!Oh ya...one thing their location was easy to find and reach... Even when they provide buffet diner with only 75k per pax...i thought i would have a terrible taste of food...but again it was fabolous !!The foods taste were completely delicious as worth as the price they offered. I'll tell all my collegues, at least once in their life to spend the night at The Griya Sanur...because they made it awesome !!
At the first time I'm arrived, I got a room with a leakage in the ceiling, so I asked them to move to other room. The new room is ok, but the pillow is stink. I think I can get much better room and facilities with the lower price than griya sanur. (price i paid for griya sanur is around Rp 400k /night)
Amenities wise its fairly provided, aircon is good there is a balcony facing the pool. Didnt tried the pool though, not becausee its dirty just that we had enough for the day while diving at Tulamben. We got ourselves the 1st floor room aka pool access room during our dive period. Location of the hotel is along the main road of Jl. By Pass Ngurah Rai. Rented a bike there, ask the hotel reception for help they will gladly help you out. Macd, KFC or other street food is nearby. Just ask for directions with good people there, they will help. And near by those diving operators...
