I chose to split a 2 week trip over Legian and Seminyak . Padma is a large resort . Pools are excellent . Please replace the pool towels though they have seen better days . Breakfast is plentiful and the pool side food was great . Legian itself is a step up from Kuta and a step down from Seminyak . We ate in the area and recommend seaside out the back of resort you turn right. Spas are cheap . Staff friendly . Lagoon view room was small but clean and modern . The gym was great although one bike only ??? My son wasn’t so happy to be left in kids club not engaging enough but the kids pool is fabulous . If I came back to Legian I would stay again

Staff very helpful and friendly. They closed services (pool and happy hour specials) earlier than advertised times which made outle stay very inconvenient at times. Overall it is nice but a bit overpriced.

We have stayed in many hotels in Bali and have always found the Padma to be the best. It is a fabulous resort with the most helpful and polite staff. The resort is exceptionally clean with many facilities available.

Beautiful resort. Gardens are magnificent. Beautiful pools. Gorgeous artwork. Exceptionally helpful, polite, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Right in the middle of tranquil Legian. Away from touristy Kuta and Seminyak. Shopping is fun. Restaurants are great in resort and outside. We are already planning our return for our 20 plus time. Well done Padma friends..

We have stayed here many times and it never disappoints. Food, staff, gardens, cleanliness the list goes on and on of an outstanding resort. A definite must for all families visiting Bali. There is a real feeling of being home when you come back to Padma.

This is our families 3rd time to Bali and 3rd time at the Padma Resort. The level of service, hospitality and friendliness was exceptional! From remembering ours and the kids names on the 2nd day to showing empathy to anyone of us who feel ill was mind blowing. Keep up the great work and see you again soon!! 😊😊

We had a wonderful experience at the Padma, so much so that we will definitely return. The staff are welcoming, kids club was fantastic, etc etc. The activities for the children are endless and there is also a wonderful infinity pool to hang out when your after some adult time. The Tenkai Japanese restaurant is also well worth a visit.

Best and friendliest staff I have ever come across. Comfortable & easy transfers. Great facilities. Breakfast was awesome. Lovely gardens. Peaceful quiet environment for total relaxation. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bali.

I rarely post reviews on TripAdvisor but after our awful experience at the Padma Resort, I have to let others know. We were 2 families with 2 reservations from January 1-6, 2018. I am also return visitor having stayed at this property in March 2014. First, the good news: the grounds remain absolutely beautiful - the grounds are a paradise and a respite in the busy and somewhat chaotic area around Legian and Kuta. But in no way is this a hotel a 5 star or even a 4 star property in terms of service. At check-in, we were downgraded on one room reservation from a family deluxe room, which is 2 connecting rooms, to 2 separate rooms located facing the street and its loud music. These 2 rooms had inadequate wifi. Room cleaning was not good either. The process for the breakfast buffet was atrocious and the food could do with some daily changes. The staff were all pleasant but pleasant in a deer-in-the-head lights kind of way - they would just always say sorry to appease but never did anything to change the poor service. When you asked them why they were sorry, you would confuse them. If you asked any staff or manager what they would do different after apologizing, they would not have an answer. The item that got me the most was the taxi kick-back scheme the hotel has going on. When we were last there in March 2014, a taxi to the mall in Kuta (about 1 km) was $40,000 or $50,000 rupiah. We asked the transportation staff at the front of the hotel for a taxi one night and the driver they got us wouldn't go under $150,000 rupiah - that was the price (not a Blue Bird taxi). Once in the car and on our way, I asked the driver why the price had increased so much in 4 years and he told me he had to kick-back $30,000 rupiah to the hotel. Different countries have different cultures and norms, I get that. But for me, that borders on criminality. When I addressed it with the manager on duty upon my return that night (January 4th), he showed no appreciation for what I had brought forward. He was only interested in finding out which driver spilled the beans, as if he was more concerned that their scheme was found out instead of appreciating that ripping off customers is not good customer service. In all, the service at the Padma was inadequate. This is especially so since we paid $70 million rupiah for the 2 reservations or about USD $520 per night. If you're going to charge like a Four Seasons or a Ritz Carlton or a Shangri-La, then you have to provide commensurate service. This hotel is nothing more than a 3 star property that you would typically book as a holiday package with a tour charter.

It's the beautiful people who work at the Padma that make this beautiful resort a special place to stay and make it feel like a second home.
