Me and a bunch of friends decided to head for Ubud for the weekend. Maya Ubud is an obvious choice. When we arrived....we were mesmerized. Such a well preserved resort, beautiful view, green landscape, wonderful staffs. The room was well maintained for a 17 years old resort. Up to date. We had the rice field view from the room in 3rd floor. Such a sight for sore eyes! Few of us joined the morning yoga activities at the gorgeous yoga pavilion. Wonderful practice with good instructor. Breakfast was nice. The choice are quite varied though can be some room for improvement. Maybe more healthy juices? The best place is of course the riverside pool. Such a beautiful view of the jungle. So relaxing that we don't even want to move elsewhere. We had a lovely. Will definitely come back when we get the chance.

A paradise resort into the nature. The best place to relax and eliminate the streess. Spa treatments were perfect. The food is excellent, perfect quality and tasty. The staff is friendly, welcoming and very polite. The resort is very close to bali attractions and activities such as hiking and rafting. A little expensive but definetly worth it. I went to this resort for a honeymoon for 4 nights and it was the best hotel i have ever been to.

We’ve just spent 4 wonderfully relaxing days here. The facilities are second to none, the staff are so willing to help and the spa is in the most amazing location. Staff helped my husband locate his suitcase when airline lost it by calling the airline for us regularly.

I have tried lots of spa places in many resort in Bali, but Maya spa is the best one. This is my 2nd time. From the moment you book your treatment you can find it that you will be pamper all day long. Its serve with an amazing service and incredible view and very talented therapist. The pool is amazing and very clean. I love this place.

We stayed at the resort for 3 nights and found the experience peaceful and restful. To get around Ubud and the surrounding area we hired a driver and are very glad we did. Breakfasts at the resort were plentiful and varied. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant on our first night and it was as expected. The two pools were well looked after and maintained. Cocktails during happy hour were delicious. our family favourite was the Young Yogi.

Met up with a couple of friends here The resort is so big and awesome had an amazing time Food was great as was the service They also have tantalising two for one cocktails Two unbelievable pools. Has to be seen one is hanging off a cliff edge Thank you Maya Resort

I have stayed in many beautiful resorts in Ubud but I have to say that overall Maya is the best value for money. It is also my favourite spa experience of all time. I enjoyed a massage in an open bure listening to the sound of the river followed by a flower bath that looked over the forest and river. The experience was not cheap but worth every penny because it is a memory that will stay with me forever. I appreciate the path through the forest for daily walks, the complimentary yoga and enjoying my breakfast on the edge of the balcony looking over the gorge. The breakfast team and the friendly omelette man went out of their way to bring some of my favourite fruit from the markets Mangosten. If your undecided just book!!!

We LOVE the food at MAYA. The breakfast is the best I have ever had! We are staying elsewhere with breakfast supplied. N0o comparison! I want to go back to MAYA asap for the sensational food. Regreat not being there this holiday but now eem to have some good deals available.

We have stayed at the property some 10 years ago and had wonderful memories of it. The setting and the scenery is still very special, however the facilities have become dated and the service was no longer the best in Bali when compared to other hotels we also stayed at this time. The spa and the River Cafe are an exception to this - still wonderful and really unique. However, the reception, main restaurant and the bar are not up to a five star standard anymore. These parts of the hotel have a rather corporate feel to them now. The staff is not so friendly as we remembered or experienced elsewhere. The breakfast was very mediocre also. We stayed in the villa with a pool. Even though it was nice, the plunge pool seemed dirty and we never used it. The lightning in the villa is not good, the whole room is very dark with only side lamps and reading lights. The furnishings are a bit dated. Overall, if you are in Ubud area, I believe now there are newer and nicer properties to try. We did not feel we got value for the money paid at Maya.

I have lost count of the number of times my husband and I have stayed at the beautiful Maya Ubud and each time we return we are treated as family. I could rave on and on about this resort but I have said it all before. Maya Ubud has the "wow" factor from the time you are driven through the main gate , the gardens simply take your breath away. The lobby is lovely and the seating arrangements excellent offering the guest their first view of the resort. Guests have the choice of villa accommodation or hotel type rooms. Older guests or immobile guests may find that some of the villas are situated a long walk from the main facilities but the "golf" buggies are always available to get guests from A to B if required. We choose to stay in the hotel section for this reason as we do not have to go out into the open to get to the restaurant if it is raining. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with a balcony or courtyard and the views are exceptional. I must make special mention of the staff at Maya as they are possibly the most well trained of any staff that we have encountered in our extensive travels. They are all very pleasant and happy in their work, and nothing is too difficult, just ask and it will be done. The restaurant menu is excellent and we do not venture away from the resort for meals, the food at Maya is better than anything we have tried outside in the town, and the prices very reasonable. Maya Ubud Bedula Bar has introduced a "happy hour" each afternoon at 5.00-7.00pm and we found this a delightful way to end an afternoon. The Riverside Cafe is a gorgeous place for an afternoon drink and nibbles with the most spectacular views of the flowing river and a lovely infinity pool. This is a very relaxing place to spend an hour or two. Our next visit to Bali in the near future will definitely be Maya Ubud again and then a short stay at the sister hotel, Maya Sanur which is also a delightful resort on the beach.
