This is my third stay at this hotel and I continue to love it. It is simple luxury in a beautiful setting with a stunning pool overlooking the lush valley. Staff / service is excellent. I love that the hotel feels very peaceful and yet is within minutes of central Ubud. Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. There are a few improvements the hotel could make however: Lighting in the rooms and bathrooms is quite poor and could be improved. Breakfast could also be improved (the croissants are excellent though). When I asked for an ironing board, an old dated iron and a frankly broken and dirty board were delivered - this is not acceptable for such a hotel given prices being charged.
We stayed in the two bedroom pool villa for three nights in April 2018–WOW! The villa is amazing with three separate indoor areas—a master bed and bath, a separate kids bedroom and bath, and a huge living/dining/kitchenette. The splash pool is beautiful with four comfy lounge chairs. We loved having breakfast in the villa each morning. The villa is very private and has a great view. The hotel grounds are very large and have a great natural feel. The two common area pools are large and have plenty of beautiful seating. Service was perfect. This is one of my favorite hotels anywhere. Very well-done!
Simply spectacular! From the staff, to the scenery, to the food, and finally to the overall property itself. Well done Komaneka. I cannot fault anything. We stayed in the Family Pool villa. The villa was beautiful and very large for the 4 of us.
Incredible place. All rooms have a superb view of the forest. A beautiful pool and river flowing near. Rooms are spacious but could be modernised slightly. Great breakfast and faultless service. Street of shops less than a 10 minute walk. Well worth it.
We wanted to stay in Ubud to escape the hustle and bustle of Kuta/Legian, and while Ubud can still be a little hectic, the Komaneka at Bisma was ideally tranquil. Once you are in the hotel grounds you are in another world - gentle Balinese hospitality, lush gardens (complete with rice terraces), a ‘jungle’ outlook across the river, and a rather attractive infinity pool. The room was huge and the staff kept it immaculate. The spa rooms are set by the river, which provides a relaxing ambience. And having your luggage taken to your room before you get there was a nice touch.
My husband and I just returned from a trip to Bali, a combination of business and vacation. We stayed at the Komaneka at Bisma in Ubud, with another couple, relatives of ours. We had the most relaxing and beautiful experience at the Komaneka at Bisma. The natural beauty and peace of the location, the like atmosphere and care provided by the extremely friendly and qualified staff, an excellent and healthy kitchen, the quality and comfort of the rooms, all make me very happy to recommend the Komaneka to any traveler of any age. While we were there, we saw any number of young couples with children to older couples and single people. You will feel pampered in paradise,
We have one of their basic suites which was large with two distinct areas (bedroom and sitting room) that can be partitioned with a ceiling to floor sheer drapes. The bathroom was tastefully furnished in modern Indonesian style. The veranda was huge and overlook a tropical valley. We had breakfast there every morning. Food was surprisingly bland for the spice Island. We had to ask for hot sauces on the side. The 33 meters pool was great and not usually busy. My wife could swim laps every day. The only down side is the walk to town is slightly long particularly in hot and humid weather which was everyday during our stay. The hotel had free shuttle service but that was very infrequent. They could supplement that by offering taxi service. (In the last day, we found out that there was Uber in town. Even if you are not going to use their service, you can get the price as the basis to negotiate with taxi which has no meter)
Komaneka, i never imagine could stay in this hotel, i booked the highest class of the villas, the villa consist of 3 room with incredible design, i dont know how to decribe cause this room extremly perfect, and i very love when i wake up in the morning so many sound of insect there, very calm, the welcome drink is best ever, and for the restaurant you will find slice of heaven there, so tasty, and the most my fav food is bebek goreng, so delicious you all have to try if you like a duck, i think i dont have any idea to write, to much advantage bout this hotel
Wife, me and 1 years old son overnight two nights here. Service was really nice and warm. Facilities are sufficient, the SPA really beautiful. Food is quite good but not the Fish and Chips. View and pool area really nice. The area is surrounded by nature but still easy to walk to shops. We would come back.
We stayed at Komaneka for 2 nights and were extremely impressed by their warm & helpful staff. To add to it the rooms were really spacious and designed to perfection. We then moved to Kuta and Nusa Dua and although the properties we stayed at in both those places were amazing, the staff came nowhere close. It's been a week since we got back and still miss our time at Komaneka every single day. Thank you for making our stay so special!
