Rumah kedua - our second home. The Komaneka people, the peaceful and tranquil setting and the pools all set this place apart. We'll definitely be back again to visit our Komaneka friends. Ideal place to relax.
Good hotel offering a superb view of the over looking high land and the meandering rapids below ground to see the canoe activities. The staffs are very friendly and they memorise our names Over all a very cosy stay which is nearby to the Monkey Abode nearby in Ubud and my Partner took a cooking lesson at Komaneka's other site I tasted the Bali dish and it was magnifecent.
Everything about this resort is wonderful we had a little trepidation coming up the busy road but once we saw what this jewel offered we were extremely happy. It is in the midst of jungle, so quiet that the noise of frogs and crickets plus the river flow is really loud at night, so relaxing. Food facilities and a very warm and friendly staff make for a lovely stay. Breakfasts in particular are great. Absolutely love the place.
This hotel is gorgeous, service is impeccable and it feels way more 5 star than 4 star, but with the charm of a boutique hotel. The breakfast included out of the balcony is amazing, little things like bug spray, adaptors and little straw hats available in the room make the difference. The food at the hotel is amazing, not too over priced along with a lovely view of the grounds. The only negative I can write, is that replacing of the decking started on the second lower pool on our 3 day - limiting sun lounger and making a relaxing pool side day feel like you're on a construction site - this was never communicated before booking, or on arrival. I would 100% recommend this hotel!
We stayed at Komaneka at Bisma on the recommendation of a colleague - oh my! We are so happy we took their advice! The staff welcomed us as family and made us feel at home. Our room was generous in size, clean, tidy and very comfortable. There was a little bit of noise while by the pool as they are replacing the decking around the lower pool, but it didn't disturb our relaxation. We had a relaxing massage at the spa, which is one of the best I've had. The resturant was reasonably priced and good food - I recommend the pork ribs! Overall, we loved every minute of our stay and we're sad to leave. Next time we're in Bali we'll intentionally seek out any Komaneka resort for our accommodation.
My husband was in charge of finding our Ubud hotel on our honeymoon. He found and booked on via Kayak or booking.com. From the pictures it looked nice, but I didn't really have much expectations because I was so focused on our wedding, I didn't have much time to research. From the moment we go there, I was completely blown away. Every inch of the property was breathtaking and our room was unbelievable. I felt so excited that I got to stay there for four nights. But I have to say, that above the perfection of the resort, the people were the best part. Everyone who worked there could not have been more kind and welcoming, They called us by name and made us feel so special. It was my Husband's birthday one of the days we stayed, and neither of us had told them anything, and at 7:30am after we finished breakfast, the staff came out with a beautiful chocolate cake and sang to him. It was so special. The personal touches of this place is what made the experience that much more memorable. The nightly bed time stories they leave at turn down to teach you more about the culture, the daily tea hour, the options for breakfast, the river walk, the quick and friendly service - perfection. I can't tell you how sad we were to leave. Living in California, I really thought this would be our only time going to Bali, but after this experience, I know we will be back. Over the past couple weeks since we have been gone, my husband and I frequently bring up fond memories of our time with our Komaneka family. The location was ideal too. As soon as you enter the long driveway, you feel secluded and are able to let the beauty of nature and being in the jungle take over. But really you are an easy 10 minute walk to monkey forest and have so many delicious food, shopping and massage options steps away. It truly was our heaven on earth. Can't recommend it enough and can't wait to go back.
The hotel was beautiful. The views from our balcony were stunning. The staff was friendly and attentive, remembering our names and welcoming us to and from every day. The staff even surprised my husband with a birthday cake and sang him happy birthday on our last day. Highly recommend! The only small small improvement could be lighting in the suite. We found it to be very dark in the bathroom and hard to get ready in this lighting. Also, we didn't use the shuttle so hiring a driver through the hotel ended up being pretty costly compared to hailing a taxi/driver on the street. Wouldn't recommend going through the hotel for transportation unless you're comfortable paying a premium! Otherwise all good!
The customer service you receive at Komaneka at Bisma is world class. The hotel itself is beautiful - once you arrive you don't want to leave. The one bedroom pool villa is absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway. I could not recommend this place more. Thank you for such an amazing and memorable stay.
A great choice to stay in Ubud. A perfect simbiose with the balinese cultural roots, however, always watching to the smallest details, namely with bed time stories and a little book of the Komaneka History, among other small things that make us feel at home. The guests are always treated by their first name, and every time we enter in to the hotel, they say "Welcome back home"... This means a lot, when you are 30k Kms far from home....
We stayed here for 4 days as part of our honeymoon last year and without exaggeration this was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. It was a standard room we stayed in but even it was incredible. The room, bathroom and balcony were all huge and beautifully decorated. The food was lovely and the staff knew us by our first names and couldn't do more for us. Weather was a bit wet so didn't spend as much time in the garden or infinity pool as we would have liked. Would love to return one day!
