My friend and I stayed at Kayumanis twice and it was the best experience ever! Such a cosy, homy atmosphere, a very warm welcome, amazing food and service - you feel yourself comfortable and relaxed there. All the villas have everything you might need to feel like home: kitchen, living room, working place, big swimming pool. Kayumanis is the perfect place to feel relaxed (as it’s very silent and green) staying at the same time in a very short distance to everything. Everything’s planned so good that you almost don’t meet other guests. The food at the restaurant is amazing! I fell in love with the signature Kayumanis cinnamon toasts, you must try it! And it’s very convenient that you can get your breakfast at any time of the day. Spa as well is amazing! We got a full body relaxing treatment and it was the best! The atmosphere, soft light, beautiful smell of massage oils and the excellent skill of therapists take you into the wonderful journey. I would love to thank all the team who helped us feel so welcomed there, can’t wait to stay with you again! Thank you!
My wife and I travelled to Borneo and Bali for our honeymoon over a 2 week period in May 2017 and stayed in 3 different hotels, all 5 star and very highly rated. My wife and I are very well travelled and have experienced some amazing hotels. None came close to Kayumanis (Jimbaran) From beginning to end we were made to feel like family, sound clichéd and I’m sure a lot of people who have good experiences in hotels say the same but I’m sure not on this level! From the moment we landed, the hotel arranged private transport to collect us. We were greeted at the terminal by Herman who was genuinely kind and warming. Upon entering the spacious car/people carrier, we were offered cold, refrigerated drinks as it was very warm! I opted for a beer and it was greatly appreciated! After a nice chat with Herman, sharing stories of Bali, about the hotel, places to go etc the hotel was around 20 mins by car, we were met with a lovely reception form the staff who were eager to help us out of the car. Mitha on reception was absolutely amazing, so kind and caring – she made it clear that we were not guests, we were part of the family. And boy was that true. We went through all the usual formalities required at check-in…however there was a problem with our room… There was due to be a wedding taking place the next day so they had to move us to another room (called Papah) which was an upgrade to what we had originally booked! What can I say…jaw dropping…stunning…amazing…luxurious…paradise…(see my photo’s) we could not believe this was going to be our tropical home for the next week! We had a private pool, surrounded by huge trees and the whole area was high walled giving us all the privacy we needed. We had a huge room and opposite was another, separate chalet style room big enough for another 2 people! The fridges were stocked with beer, soft drinks and water daily! The outdoor living room was simply stunning – we were given a little complimentary drink and sweet snacks – including a little cake congratulating us on our wedding! There were mosquito coils which did an excellent job keeping the mosquitos away (they smelt great too!) the living room was cosy, had all a TV and BOSE sound system – but there’s far too much to do in Bali than watch TV! The kitchen (outdoor) was amazing, clean, modern and packed with all the accessories one could need. The next day we took a stroll over to the restaurant for breakfast…wow is all I can say…again the service was truly wonderful and food, was the best breakfast I have experienced. Anywhere. It was that good! Every day we chose a different dish from the menu and each one was as good as the other. Fresh and some great options to start the day with. The onsite restaurant was beautifully decorated too with traditional Balinese décor surrounded by trees...was my idea of paradise. During out stay we borrowed some bikes, complimentary from the hotel and went out on a ride, but due to the heat we decided we couldn’t do this every day so we enquired about hiring a motorbike for a few days. Upon asking Mitha at reception how we would go about arranging one – she advised us not to worry , she would call us to let us know when the motorbike had been delivered…it arrived 10-15 minutes later…brilliant service. Each day, morning, afternoon or night all staff, in particular Herman and Mitha would ask us what our plans for the day was, where we had been etc…eager to give us recommendations and best ways to get where we wanted to go not to mention the affectionate names they had given us (Bapak and Ibu – a formal way of addressing someone roughly translating to Father/Mother/Sir Miss) with the customary bow. We used the complimentary hotel shuttle service for some of the local places we went to, the service was private so it was just my wife and I. Again, a nice touch and each time were given proper recommendations, all of which were excellent! On our last day at Kayumanis to say we were sad to leave was an understatement. We walked around the complex to take it all in one last time and with a heavy heart had to say out goodbyes to Herman, Mitha and the rest of the truly amazing staff we were fortunate to have met. By far this was the best hotel we have stayed in on all accounts, the amenities, the luxury, the food and the absolutely brilliant staff. Bali itself is the most beautiful country we have visited and we made a vow to go back again. Next time, whilst we will stay in another part of Bali just to experience another part, we will definitely go back to Kayumanis Jimbaran to visit Herman, Mithi and the rest of the staff that made our honeymoon so special. Thank you for the amazing memories Kayumanis!
We loved our stay here. Very nice sized villa with total privacy. It was a short walk to the beach, great spa and restaurant. Staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. We look forward to returning!
This place in one word ! A m a z i n g. We had the opportunity to stay in Kayumanis Jimbaran for three nights and it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Having been treated in Kayumanis Ubud and Sanur previously, we came to Kayumanis Jimbaran expecting nothing but perfection. Indeed, perfection it was. This place truly lived up to its reputation as this idyllic, private paradise. It is truly lovely that each Kayumanis has a unique identity with different styling and architecture. There are so many amazing things about this place, so I want to try and address them one by one in this review. First, the location. The villa is located right in the heart of Jimbaran, meaning that it is only a few minutes drive from the main city center where you can dine, shop, walk on the beach and be treated to the rich culture and traditions of Bali. The transport services in place to get you from point A to B are great. There is also a great sense of security surrounding your stay given the devoted security constantly stationed to make sure your stay is a safe one. Now, the food. The food can be summed up in one word- wonderful. Kayumanis Jimbaran had delectable local and international breakfast and high tea, served from 2.30-5pm. The room service was impeccable. We were enjoying food deliciously and creatively managed out of a luxurious hotel. Some of the breakfast favourites include the Mee Goreng, Truffle egg, and the Kayumanis Toast and the Balinese coffee and tea is a must try. The food is simply irresistible. Its best to adopt a eat today, diet tomorrow plan when at KayuManis. Now, the villa itself. One word. Wow. The villa was beautiful, massive and clean, offering amazing, unforgettable features such as an outdoor shower and a sizeable pool. I must say that the villas are so massive that you could probably fit a family of 4 into a one-bed room Villa! Thankfully, the rooms are all airconditioned, offering refuge from the humidity and heat of Bali. The rooms comes fully outfitted with everything you might need, whether it be free wifi or even the mini bar with a variety of drinks for all to enjoy. As mentioned in previous reviews, this place stays true to its hallmarks of being private and in tune with nature as communicated through the villa’s clearly wood architecture and natural greenery. Amidst all the grandeur and luxuriousness of the villa, the best aspect and memories of this place is the people and I can’t even begin to name them all as they were ALL truly exceptional. The moment you get there and you are greeted with the immense warmth and hospitality of the Balinese. They all greet you with a smile which is such an instinctive feature of their nature. They show a genuine commitment to ensuring that your stay with them is as relaxing and luxurious as possible. The staff were prideful and polite to explain the different cultural aspects whether it be the rituals observed or even the small things like the welcome flower and how the togetherness of our hands to receive it denotes reciprocity in kind. When you arrive at the villa after a long day out, you are greeted with the fervent, wholesome warmth of the greeting "welcome home" from the reception staff. That really tops and sums up the comfort of our overall stay as you are made to feel it’s a home away from our home! If I had to describe Kayu Manis in one word, it would be truly 'amazing.' If I had all the money in the world, I would still stay in Kayumanis Jimbaran. Thank you to the lovely people of Kayumanis Jimbaran for making our family holiday an amazing and wonderful and unforgettable one.
We found this on Agoda and confirmed on TripAdivsor. The villa is perfect with privacy and outstanding facilities. I would book if you have an itinerary or local knowledge as the staff is limited in advising on options. It is pretty remote from most nightlife with the exception of the Jimbaran beach restaurants. They use Belmont Hotel for beach access but beach was very dirty and we were wholly ignored by hotel staff despite having the proper introduction and pass. We left for Kayumanis NusaDua but traffic was very heavy and it took almost an hour to get there, only to find that the beach is a bit of a hike and remote. Jimabaran staff were very polite but limited in recommendations although we were referred to Cuca tapas restaurant which was on property and was absolutely one of the best dining experiences we have had. I would recommend this villa with the recommendation of the need for a plan, or just stay at the villa.
We have had a most wonderful holiday! With thanks to Kayumanis and the staff, they are all a joy❤️ You will not go wrong choosing this resort for a true Balinese experience! Divine Spa, divine rooms, divine people. All the rooms are similar and very spacious and the restaurant is outstanding. We will return for some more 🙏🏻
Kayumanis Jimbaran is simply breathtaking. We (two people) stayed in a 1-BR villa, comprised of one BR building with a bathroom and outdoor shower (already the size of our apartment), a separate outdoor area with a roof (replete with couches, TV, fresh fruit and cookies, dining table and kitchen), another building (couches for massages) with another bathroom and outdoor shower, and, of course, the private pool. WiFi was free and good (we hooked up a travel router to connect a Chromecast, which worked flawlessly). We also took a cooking course, wherein the head chef of the place took us to the fish market (very cool) and we cooked in the kitchen of our own villa (perhaps even cooler). The meal was HUGE and delicious. One note: Before we went, we saw several reviews saying that you could just do tea time instead of lunch. That is possible, but I will couch that by saying we got one sandwich (shared between us two), and the rest were sweets. They were delicious, but I am not a sweets guy, so I definitely could've done with more food. Just outside the grounds, you can turn left to get to the beach (less than a minute walk away) or turn right to get to the main street. The beach was beautiful, but, unfortunately, there was so much trash in the water that we never went back (it's ok; we had our own pool). Going to the right, there were several stores, markets, and street vendors, all with fantastic wares and food for dirt cheap, if you ever get tired of the menu at the restaurant or just want to go exploring. The complimentary massage was fantastic. My g/f opted to upgrade to a facial (just had to pay a little difference), which she also loved. We also stayed while the volcano erupted. We didn't even know the volcano erupted until we got a call from our families asking if were ok. I was sitting in the pool on the phone, asking, "Huh? I'm just relaxing." Now, getting out of Bali was a hassle (we took every form of transportation possible to get to Jakarta). But the staff was so incredibly helpful. They offered us another night (totally free) to give us time to figure out our plans, helped us book tickets, and booked a car to drive us to the western tip of Bali and to take us on the ferry over to Java (which was incredibly helpful, as I'm not sure how we would've done it without help). All of the staff was so incredibly nice and helpful throughout everything otherwise, too. To anybody reading this: This place is the most relaxing, most luxurious place we've ever been to. If you're contemplating going here, then go. If you weren't contemplating going here, and are just looking around at reviews, then go. I can't wait to go back.
My husband and I recently spent five nights at this amazing resort. Our experience was just heavenly! Our luxurious villa was absolutely HUGE and beautifully appointed. It was so comfortable and contained everything you could possibily need for a relaxing and luxurious stay. The villas all have a very large, beautiful private pool, surrounded by a gorgeous garden full of frangipanis, as well as a day room. The food in the restaurant is fantastic and if you wish, breakfast can be served in your villa at no extra cost. A complimentary afternoon tea is available every day and keeps you going until dinner time. We ate dinner in the restaurant several times because it was so good, and this can also be served in your villa. The beach is only a three minute walk from the hotel, and is certainly one of the loveliest beaches in Bali. The Spa here is wonderful and very reasonable priced for a range of quality treatments. The staff are all exceptional. They are extremely professional, very friendly and go out of their way to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. I cannot praise this place highly enough and look forward to a return visit in the near future.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The villa we stayed in was excellent. A large pool with perfect temperature. Nice outdoor living room with comfortable sofa and chairs, dining area, kitchen. High quality bed. We live in a cold country and are not used to the idea of an outdoor bathroom, the staff did a great job with insect repellents to make the experience as good as possible. On the positive side, as the rest of the experience was, the bathroom had a large tub, separate shower and all the amenities you need. Housekeeping twice a day kept the villa spotless at all times. Wonderful in Villa breakfast whenever you like,I think it was served between 0700 in the morning until 2300 at night. Room service menu was large but if you didn't find anything to your liking you could just ask for what you want and they made it. Staff was very friendly and helpful to any request. We had a late flight on the day of the check out, they arranged for us to spend the day at the beach and had a villa ready for us to take a shower and change when we returned from the beach. Afterwards it was a complimentary car to take us to the airport. All in all this was 3 days in paradise.
Went to this amazing place for the best spa session. Full body massage and a body scrub. The experience could not be compared with some of the places I had been to. Absolutely loved the tranquil atmosphere and the ginger tea before and after. I must say I felt that the experience of the spa had a lasting effect. Well done Kayumanis!
