The hotel is clean and the pool area is lovely. Some issues, this says it’s 4 star, not by UK standards. The balconies in the rooms don’t have any outdoor furniture so you can’t sit on them. The Sunny Cafe is ok for a coffee, but avoid it for food, the sandwich I had there was horrible. The breakfast buffet is good. The pool area is clean and tidy although loose floorboards make it dangerous in places. Also for a hotel this size there’s only 12 sun loungers by the pool, which isn’t enough. The top thing about this place is the staff. Juniada on the reception made our trip, he was extremely helpful, friendly and polite. The Spa at the hotel is fantastic. I had 4 treatments when I was there and Windu is a fantastic masseuse. I would thoroughly recommend her and the spa. The location of the hotel is ok, there was meant to be a shuttle to Lombok Street but it was no longer running so it takes about 30 minutes to walk there and I wouldn’t do it in the dark. If I’d known the area better I’d have stayed in Semenyak. It’s much busier and livelier. Overall an ok hotel but some things need improving.

Fontana is on Jl Dewi Sri, which is a great location as it's central to almost everything that a leisure or business traveller might need. The hotel itself is just off the main street, but walking out to near by restaurants and outlets is easy. The hotel has a few F&B outlets which seem quite popular, and late closing. The hotel has good landscaping and pool, making use of the limited space available. The room is comfortable, although there were one or two little hardware problems. Bed and pillows are good, room amenities are adequate Breakfast spread is also adequate, but like in most hotels in Bali, the food quality is barely passable. Overall, the hotel is good value.

The staff is helpful. i don't recommend it to couples. I facedmore than a time strangers knocking on my room door. I did't enjoy much my stay at the hotel. The pool view is pleasant. If your vacation doesn't depend on long stay in the hotel, it will be a good choice.

Very big room and toilet with rain shower is a plus. For hotels at this price range, Fontana has outdone all others by a large margin. Location is pretty good as well, very near to Kuta and Seminyak. Staff is attentive and willing to help. Parking space in the basement is extremely tight though, so beware.

Was here for a vacation after a tight and stressful routines. And also got a plan to surprise my girl on our stay at once. Was asking for help to the one and only, MITHA the Reception. She's always willing to help, her extra miles service was in the top class. She was helping me to prepare eveything for my surprise purpose. Thanks so much Mitha, you're the best ! The manager should gives her a reward for it indeed ! And also thank you to the rest of staffs for the humbleness and services. The best hotel I've ever stayed at. 👍🏻

I was due to stay at the Fontana hotel 27 nov- 3 Dec. It became apparent that I wasn’t going to make it to Bali in the days before due to the volcanic red alert all over the media, however despite the high level of warning and risk Fontana maintained that there was no problem, and I would not receive a refund. Ultimately my flight was cancelled, and the airport shut down but this made no difference. Obviously it was very stressful rearranging my trip last minute, and caused me extra expense. All that Fontana offered me was the option change my booking dates to another time within 6 months (extended to 9 when I complained.) I’m European and on a 6 week Asia tour atm. I’m not going to have the chance to fly back to this part of the world for years, let alone within 9 months. Fontana’s refusal to refund caused more stress and expense at a difficult time. They showed no concern for my safety at flying in to a volcano region, but clearly just dealt with me in terms of tourist $$$ Further I’m sure that Fontana managed to rebook the room easily as thousands were stranded. Very angry and disappointed

I was reeeaaallyyy looking forward to stay in the hotel. I had visited the restaurant before (dec 2013), and I fell in love with the place instantly. The food was good, the ambience was superb, and the service was top notch. So when my hubby was planning our Bali trip this time, I insisted that we should try staying in Fontana, at least for 1 day. He was hesitant because we already booked another hotel, but I was persistent, so we decided to stay in Fontana on our 2nd day. When we arrived, the check in took a long time. They seemed to struggle to find our booking (eventho we booked from their hotel website). What really surprised me was the booking terms&condotions was different from the ones listed on the web. We booked a Room Only deal which (on the web) stated that breakfast was included. However, the FO told us that our booking was , literally, ROOM ONLY. I showed them the terms and condition listed on their website, but in the end we still paid for our breakfast (I was in a hurry bcos I was with my toddler who was acting out due to the heat, but still.. I feel scammed). After we settled in our room, we decided to grab something to eat. What's better to heal a bad mood than good foods, rite? However.... to my surprise.. the Portabella restaurant was a lot different than how I remember it... 1. The aircon was off so the restaurant was VERY HUMID and uncomfortable... 2. The waiter came back and forth to our table to reconfirm our order, which was odd because we ordered reaallyy simple foods.. 3. While waiting for the food, the staffs was being very loud, arguing among themselves, until one of them finally realized that they were making us uncomfortable... 4.We waited for 30 minutes until the food finally come. (I was with my toddler, and he was starting to be bored).... 5. We found a small cockroach creeping on the sofa and then on ME (disgusting!) And we told the waitress but nothing was done. The experience was disappointing. And I felt apologetic to my hubby because I was the one who insisted to stay at Fontana.

Very friendly staff, professional and quick to help with anything, I emailed them to pick me up from the airport and the driver was in the airport on time waiting for me. Very nice facilities, Tasty food. Amazing spa!!! I’ll definitely stay at this hotel next time.

You can’t find a better hotel for the money. The service from check in to check out was amazing. The food is good at the restaurant for a reasonable price. 5-10 minutes Uber to Kuta central if you want to party.

We spent a week there and it was very nice and relaxing, good breakfast and nice meals, love the big swimming pool. Rooms are spacious and have a balcony with pool view, most important is that the rooms are clean and very quiet, great for sleeping. Breakfast offers a wide variety, everything you need to start a day and excellent coffee deals in the morning. Music at the breakfast restaurant needs to be improved. The staff is friendly, speaks great English and is always on top of everything. Tons of restaurants and little supermarkets in walking distance. Thanks for a nice accommodation, had a great stay and will be back.
