Great location in between Seminyak and Kuta Central. Fairly quiet but busy when you need it to be. Loved the breakfasts and poolside service. Rooms are good. Staff are great! You get what you pay for, a good stay.
Came to stay for 6 nights at the casa padma. Felt a bit let down as the place has become a bit run down after our stay here 2yrs ago. The room we stayed in on the ground floor was large and the beds were comfortable but the room smelled strongly of mildew and the furniture was filthy and white towels were grey. The breakfasts that we payed for as part of our booking were terrible, which was disappointing as they were great on our last stay here. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and very helpful, but don't know if we will stay here again.
We stayed in Family room, suprised that the room is quite big and comfortable.. but the furniture is very old and need to rebuild, a lot damage. The kettle jug is broken so we asked to replaced. The service is excellent, fast and reponsive, we really satisfied. Breakfast was nice, we could choose many option. Location very nice, we could hang out to shop, live music bar and restaurant outside the hotel, and only 5-8 min to reach legian beach. Casa Padma is very Suitable for Family with kids.
We stayed in a Deluxe room, on level 1, for 8 nights in May. Two adults & two children. The room was HUGE, with a living area, dressing area, dining table. We enjoyed our stay, the breakfast is pick of the menu, no buffet, but was always nice, great location, we didn't find the music to loud at night. We got the room for a great price, hard to beat! The pool is in shade most of the day, good for the kids, not good if you like to sunbake ha. Staff are lovely, after travelling to Bali for many years I found the staff at Casa Padma the best! I would recommend this hotel.
The staff is lovely, polite, warm and welcoming, pool looks quite nice and the breakfast pancakes are delicious. My room was quite old but clean and spacious and they are renovating them all. This leads to some construction noise, although they make sure the construction starts after 9 am and ends before 6 pm. Not their fault but there is a bar right across the street that has karaoke from 9.30/10 pm until about midnight... So make sure to request a room at the back, or go out until they're done, and you should be fine. I survived with some earplugs. Again, not their fault so would not take it out of their rating. That was the only "issue" with the place.
I booked here for 5 nights but only ended up staying 2, when I told them the reasons I was leaving they didn't seem to bothered nor did they offer anything else or their apologies! the rooms were ok, pretty basic and was greeted by a number of insects in my room! The breakfast is nice, the hotel itself is opposite a bar which has karaoke, listening to drunken people tying to sing until midnight was not fun!! The pool is small and I was unable to swim in it as always too many people! All in all an unpleasant stay!
Our family 2 x adults & 2 x teens (15 & 17) have just spent a week in a suite here. The location is fabulous, so close to everything and just up the road from Garlic Lane, Melasti Markets and awesome restaurants. The pool is beautiful and our suite overlooks the pool (we're on second floor). The breakfast is nice, it's made to order so no buffet but still great selection. The staff are absolutely fantastic!! Staff are super friendly and extremely accommodating. The Suite is cleaned daily with new bedding and towels (which doesn't happen at all hotels). The restaurant at hotel has huge selection and is very good value for money. Hotel wifi is good too, not super high speed but constantly available with no drop outs. Only downside we've found is the Legian Bar across the road from hotel has karaoke from 9pm - Midnight. This is fine when people can actually sing but when you get the drunk, tone deaf (generally Aussie females) screeching out tunes, it can put you off your favourite songs for life!! You can hear it clearly from hotel so if you're a light sleeper I'd recommend ear plugs. I think the ground floor rooms would be more protected from the noise pollution but I'm guessing you'd still be able to hear it. Other than the karaoke bar noise, we've absolutely loved our stay here. We would definitely come back but as mentioned, would request ground floor room.
Outstanding location, friendly and attentive staff and well priced accommodation. Some of the photos can make it look like a no go, but you should definitely give it a chance. The restaurant is very pricey and breakfast is below average.
The hotel offered free transfers from airport to the hotel & vice-versa, and they were prompt to pick me up. Location wise, there are many restaurants (mostly western) and souvenir shops along the road, and massage shops too.. predominantly cater to western tourists area... didnt walk to the beach so I can't comment about that... Access to the rooms you need to climb up the stairs (there are no lifts in this hotel), and if you have big luggage, you'd need to call the Receptionist to ask someone to help you carry the luggage up and down..Phew! Room wise , it was big ( I was alone) and it was clean and bright, bed was firm but comfortable.. the pool is OK and many guests like to swim there at dusk.. there is no pool side drinks service... food wise my room did not come with breakfast, but the in house restaurant serves breakfast at 7 (?) Overall, this hotel is worth the price but there are not many unique facilities going for it (esp the lack of lifts to the upper floors rooms)
200 metres from garlic lane, nice and small and friendly staff. Does need a makeover inside and out, but if you are hoping for 4/5 star this isn't it. We had a lovely big room with balcony overlooking pool. 2 huge King beds, tv, lounge, wi fi, bathroom. Cleaned daily and all amenities and water supplied. Breakfast is pick off a menu, nice eggs and pancakes and great Bali coffee. We enjoyed the huge pool and pool bar or lounge area to relax. Overall we would stay here again, cost was $100 aud a night, we find that dirt cheap, other rooms are cheaper. Great for location as everything is at the doorstep. Like I mentioned does need a facelift, but that doesn't bother us as overall it is clean and very good air con, small and boutique and airport transfers included.
