This hôtel was the second place for us in Bali after 3 days spent in Jogjakarta. And it was amazing from the beginning to the end. All the staff is incredibely polite and professionnal. The swimming pool is just amazing, and all restaurants are very good. À spécial notification for the breakfast which is super big and very high quality. We are recommending this place to everyone looking for quiet, romantiscm and good moment at Ubud
Fantastic from start to finish! The hotel is beautiful, grounds lush, food fantastic. We stayed in a pool villa and it couldn't have been more perfect. A little piece of paradise. The people are what make the COMO Uma so special. Everyone is personally invested in making the Uma experience unforgettable. We felt like family from the moment we arrived until the last of our fond farewells were spoken.
We loved our 5 night stay at Como Uma Ubud from start to finish. Staff were unfailingly friendly and accommodating, among the best service I've ever had in my life. Highlights included: -the bike tour of the farm region near Mount Batur, organized through the hotel -when my wife had an upset stomach, they promptly sent us fresh coconut water -morning yoga in their pavilion which overlooks the river / rainforest--it's serene there -delicious breakfasts in front of their koi pond -couples massage in the beautiful spa -using the hotel shuttle to visit the monkey forest and central Ubud for shopping (runs every two hours, but stops at 5 pm). 20 minute walk / 30-40k Rp taxi ride if you're able to leverage the shuttle -fastest wifi we saw in Bali There was a bit of construction noise during the daytime (10 am-4 pm) but they more than made up for it with their incredible service. Also, most days we were out and about over these hours, so it didn't affect us much. While we live far away in the USA, this hotel stay made us want to return to Bali someday soon. Highly recommended!
Can you belive 4 times I've been to Uma Ubud, I love it, why cause the staff are like family. I'm so well treated and the word NO is non existent! As soon as I arrive after a long drive from the airport I'm greeted by the best staff in the hotel and resort business and as a journalist I've been to hunreds of hotels and resorts. There has been some changes in the villas which I personally felt should have been left along. For on the oustide shower in the bathrooms are now boxed in whith an air con. I was quite dissapointed about that as the out door feeling of the jungle gave the Balinese feel to the resort. But the Garden villa was equiped with an out door pool which was fantastic. Oh one suggestion, there used to be an ottaman in the bathroom and now its missing. Gotta have that as its difficult to change with out the ottman to sit on. And the small writing desk is gone! Should bring that back in so I can write all my nice reviews of Uma from there. Anyway small matter, but out of 3 resorts this trip including the Alila Manggis and the Alila Semiyak Uma is miles ahead in service food and the Balinese feel.
What a wonderful place. A jewel in the middle of Ubud. All things were great, room, breakfast, and people. All people in the hotel were fantastic great service we want to come back earlier. Thanks a lot for all.
In an 11 night stay in Bali we stopped at Como Uma for 4 nights at the start. It was the perfect way to unwind from a long journey (from the UK). The friendliness of the staff (as for Bali people in general) contributed in no small part; the manager and desk staff especially made us feel welcome by remembering our names and in various ways making us feel like we were special guests. We stayed in a Terrace Room: a semi-detached cottage overlooking the gardens and the river valley beyond - so quiet and luxurious! Breakfasts (included) were excellent! We used the main infinity pool on a few occasions; it was lovely, with towels and continuously topped up glasses of water being provided. (To show this is a balanced report, the one down side during our visit - April/May 2017 - was that there was a lot of work going on around the pool, developing the site; my wife found the noise from this somewhat irritating at times. The location of Uma is beautiful, but it also well placed in Ubud. We are reasonably fit so we enjoyed the walk down the hill to the main town, and even the nearly 2 mile walk (at a guess) to the monkey forest, though a taxi was always available if required. The location is also good for various tours through the rest of Bali; in our case we combined a full day tour north and eastwards on the day we transferred to our second hotel in the south of the island.
2nd time we've stayed at the Como Uma Ubud. It's simply beautiful ... very private and peaceful. The villas are stunning and the staff are superb. Highly recommended ... the best place we've stayed in Bali.
We had a three night, pay for two promotion, in a pool villa including breakfast. This made it a good value offer as otherwise I feel it made it too expensive. A lovely rural location - 10 minutes to 1 hour away by hotel complimentary shuttle vehicle to the town itself, depending on the horrendous traffic problems in the town. One visit to the town enough, and we walked back. Lovely friendly and warm welcome by the staff and this continued for our stay. The staff are so helpful, friendly and enjoyable to talk to, nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast is part buffet and part cooked to order and I would rate this 4* The room interiors and furnishings I rate 5* but the location of the room and exterior private pool I would only rate 3* as the location is against the high boundary wall (Room 2) and unfortunately there is building works going on immediately on the other side creating noise. A big plus point with the hotel is the complimentary pre-breakfast one hour walk and the daily Yoga classes. We took the excellent Keliki Village walk with the hotel guide Wayan Susta who really made this walk around the rice fields, countryside etc so much more interesting. This tour well worth taking, and lasted 3 hours. There is refurbishing going on at this hotel and the nature of the foliage being so dense does mean that it can feel a little claustrophobic and damp. We enjoyed the stay and with the promotion offer it was worth staying there. It is not cheap though even with this, but nicely placed for walking around, even to the town depending on the traffic. Ubud itself ok for a tourist one day or part visit just once. It is the surrounding rural countryside that makes this worthwhile and such an enjoyable experience, providing you get good weather !!!
My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Como Uma Ubud and wished we could have stayed for longer! First impressions were fantastic, the design of the hotel is dreamy - white walls and lots of palm trees and a huge pool! Our room was a pleasant stroll away from the pool/bar/restaurant area and was similarly stylish with the most comfortable bed and cushions I think we've ever experienced in a hotel! As it was my birthday, I was also given a handwritten card from the manager and a delicious ice cream cake which very thoughtful. We ate at the restaurant for lunch and dinner and the food was excellent each time - we rate hotels on club sandwiches and we agreed that this was the best one we've ever had! For dinner we ate Asian fusion food and again, that was delicious as were the cocktails. It's not really possible to walk to the centre of Ubud but the hotel puts on an hourly transfer and taxis are cheap. Overall highly recommended!
Stay in a different place in Ubud with small forest view and I have own main balinese enterance door. Very calm and made my blood presure back to normal. Yoga and morning walk were benefits if you stay in here. The restaurant when I took meals really made me so relax and enjoy the air. Friendly and clean became their theme since all the staff wear white uniform and smile never forget. They have delicious welcome drink also. The interior of the room made me wanna go from the bed and enjoy the bathtub as well, when I took shower, just got surprise that I could enjoy to see the plant directly since it was semi outside place, directly got the air not with wall beside so unique. You can enjoy lunch near pool or just enjoy it in the room. It's really recommended hotel for relaxing.
