Great outdoor area with good size swimming pool, bar and restaurant. Delicious cocktails during happy hour. It wasn't busy while we were there so unfortunately some of the evening events had to be cancelled. There are plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance and most of them also offer a pick up and return service. There's a regular shuttle bus service between the hotel and their sister resort at the other end of the strip. It will pick up and drop off in between. There are 3 good supermarkets and many art markets for shopping at lower prices than the major tourist areas of Bali. Our apartment was basic and in need of an update but otherwise well serviced with clean linen daily. Staff were always helpful and friendly.
Bali Palms was a great place to end our vacation. Although it did not have a beach, the pool, ocean view, and staff made up for it. The rooms were excellent. Travel in and around there was cheap and easy. Restaurants in the area were also very good.
I've lived on Bali and long time and been to many, many hotels but I cannot recall any place where a beer is charged at 53,000Rp and then they ADD 21% Service Charge on top. This makes a beer more than 64,000Rp When you realise that a cheap place charges 30,000 Rp and the normal place in Candidasa (or indeed most of Bali) charges 40,000 Rp it shows just how expensive this place is. there are plenty other places with sea views and pools to drink beer at. That said, the service is good, the place is quite nice, food was good.
Travelled by mysrlf for a bit RNR. Booked for 8 nights and changed this to 10. LOVED IT. Staff were great food good. But what really made it were the members that were there. I made so many friends. I was the only person by myself and it ended up like I was leaving long lost friend. Happily a few of will doing a cruise in March next year. Lots of food places in the area if you don't want to eat here. A really cheap place across the road. $1 for fried rice and their crumbed prawns $4.50 Aussie. They ran out of prawns as we kept buying the. Went to Smiley Restaurant who use to work here. Had a ball. Heaos to do if you like snorkeling or fishing. Gret place.
We booked 3 rooms for a family getaway !... This hotel is in a beautiful location and ticked all the boxes for our needs. The rooms were spacious and very clean, pool was great and the breakfast was very good... staff friendly and helpful at all times therefore we have booked to stay here again soon.
Beautiful sea views from the balcony. Fabulous service, good food. Lovely breakfast. The room was very comfortable. Unfortunately there wasn't a beach you could walk to but you can hire a scooter or car or hire a taxi. The hotel had a band playing on Tuesdays which was really good.
Lovely resort. Great pool. Very relaxing. The resort recommended a great driver (Wayan Ari) for us who took us for a day drive to the floating palace, water temple, Amen along other places. Also did snorkelling trips to white sand beach and blue lagoon which were great.
Bali Palms is situated right on the coast, but there isn’t a usable beach. It’s at the beginning of the resort and is a quiet area compared with the main towns on the island. It’s 1 & 1/2hours from the airport, the hotel will arrange transfers if requested. There is a free hourly shuttle bus to take you to the other end of the resort. The rooms are well appointed, my only complaint was the lack of mirrors. Be warned that 21% is added onto all bar and food bills. Staff are very helpful and there is a Spa on site. Next door there’s a shop where you can get your washing done at a very reasonable price. Also next door is Komang who does airport transfers and day trips.
Once a traveller has visited Candidasa and had the opportunity to stay at Bali Palms Resort --- it will call you back time, and time again. Candidasa village is the true essence of Bali where in some cases time has stood still for the local families, and tourist alike. The area is bathed in history, culture, delicious traditional foods and culture and Bali Palms Resort staff willingly become 'a tourist information centre'. Relaxing in Bali Palms Resort 's sparkling pool with a drink of choice before a delicious meal cooked by Chef Sri is the only way to end a busy, sight-seeing day. Organising day-trips to other highlights of Bali is not a problem, and Bali Palms Resort have their own vehicles, and drivers, to make that desire happen. Rooms are so comfortable, clean and nicely appointed with all that a traveller could require to enjoy their holiday. Bali Palms Resort pride themselves in providing those special activities for guests including spit-roast pig dinner by the pool; Legong dancing; cooking school lessons and fishing mornings to name a few. Once been to Bali Palms Resort, Candidasa, ----- you will want to return again and again.
This was our first trip to Bali and Bali Palms Resort. The resort was nice and clean and the staff are very friendly and supportive. We were also very fortunate to meet some really nice people there that made our visit even more enjoyable. If your looking for a nice relaxing and not a bunch of hustle and bustle, then you'll enjoy your stay at Bali Palms.
