We booked 4 nights at Ramayana but after staying one night we checked out, found a beautiful 4 bed 2pool private vila for the same price! This hotel is mouldy. Inside and out. At some point it was a beautiful hotel, with stunning little paths with greenery, probably few decades ago. Everything is outdated, old and got that 'old' smell as well as mould in the bathrooms and outside. The restaurant is tasteless, all the seats and pillows dirty. The tiles around the pool all loose/missing. There's no beach. The Aircon is noisy and located right in front of the bed meaning it's blowing right to the face if it's on. The list goes on, I wont get into gritty details. It was non refundable so lost the money too annoyingly. All in all would not recommend.

Very pleasant stay, beautiful and quiet hotel, large room, can listen the waves and relax all day. The nightly a la carte menu at the restaurant was excellent. Reliable dive tour operator just outside the gate.

Hotel was stunning! Gardens and Pool Area were amazing! Staff from all sections were very attentive.Shout out to Kadek at the restaurant in the evenings, young guy who went out of his way to assist and give individualised service! We had an Ocean view room which was wonderful, can hear waves on beach, although room 213 close to pool area so not very private. Bit of a distance to town area, and whilst shuttle was advertised at set times, taxi service is available from reception for 30k which is a far better option (although not mentioned at check in - would suggest in future). Buffet breakfast was nice, restaurant meals were good, but drink prices quite expensive (65k a small Bintang outside prices around 35k). Definitely would stay again.

From the moment you arrive through to your final departure, every staff member makes you feel welcomed and valued in a courteous and extremely respectful manner and always with a beautiful smile. Ramayana Candidasa is a quiet and restful haven on beautifully kept tropical surrounds. The restaurant has everything you need with enough choice for your food requirements, or you can get pickup organised from several of the restaurants in town. Candi Dasa in an area of Bali that is still removed from much of the western commercialisation overtaking the south and west so if you are looking for shopping malls and brand name knock offs, and western style coffee shops, pizza and hamburgers then this is not your destination and the reason we still love Candi Dasa.

The grounds of the property are very beautiful & I loved the privacy of the garden bungalow. The resort is remote & the area is very quiet. I enjoyed lazing by the pool. The gym is small, but adequate, & the Sianmay dive shop is just outside the gates.

We liked poolside, and sea views, the quiet gardens at side of property. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms very clean and regularly serviced. Restaurant looks a bit tired and in need of upgrade. Dinner menu needs more dishes not just huge buffets for two. Cocktails need alcoholic content. But we had a great family stay and overall a fantastic, relaxing holiday with a friendly atmosphere. Thanks

Gorgeous property

An absolutely beautiful property overlooking the ocean with a great restaurant/bar, an ample pool, and lovely rooms laid out in garden settings. There is no beach here, and that's a long story that has to do with Bali itself, but nice beaches exist in the vicinity. I can't say enough about how lovely the staff were. Truly charming and welcoming. The town/village is also nice (especially around the lotus pond).

Lovely hotel and lovely staff. Beautiful pool area and significantly cheaper than hotels of a similar standard in the more popular parts of Bali. Candidasa is very nice too if you’re liking for something a little more laid back.
