We loved our stay here! The staff were welcoming and friendly, they carried our bags to our rooms for us and were so kind and helpful. The shuttle bus service that Anini Raka offer was great, although it said every hour whenever we needed the shuttle they would always pick us up. One night when we wanted somewhere to eat, we asked them to recommend us a place and they recommended a lovely place took us there and even took us to withdraw money! They also took us back to the airport for a charge but they were still kind in doing so. The staff really are so helpful, they do go above and beyond in doing all they can to make you feel safe and welcome. When we were at the pool and had only a small towel with us, then they gave us two large towels to dry off. The breakfast was lovely and we had lots of options such as : Indonesian, Continental and American. This gave us a lovely choice, we had the American breakfast which came with eggs bacon, toast and tomatoes it was really lovely and a fresh orange juice. Both of the pools were lovely, I really enjoyed relaxing in these in the sun, was so refreshing. Also, when we were in the pool and the staff were outside doing their jobs they would always come over and speak to us and make sure we were okay. Our room was lovely and spacious. The air conditioning was perfect temperature and the beds were so comfy! The room came with a TV even though we didn't watch it, it is a good option to have it if we wanted to watch it. We had a fully working fridge which kept our water nice and cold. The view from our balcony was lovely overlooking the rice-fields and the trees which was lovely to wake up to. The bathroom was a bit small but could still fit a sink, toilet, bath and shower in with working hot water which was lovely. Also, Anini Raka provided plenty of fresh clean towels, flannels and toothbrushes. We are aware that it is under new management which are currently making new improvements to the hotel and are working very hard. But we loved it and really enjoyed our stay here, it was very clean and well maintained and reasonably priced.

Clean and quiet rooms with view of rice fields. Property in general requires a major maintenance overhaul from the initial entrance to end of property. Overpriced for the amenities provided. No chairs or lounge chairs or towels at the two pools. The one positive is the free shuttle service.

lovely little hotel not far from Ubud center (free shuttle is great), very quiet at the time we only seen one other group in the whole hotel. 2 pools, a beautiful view overlooking the rice patties where we frequently seen beautiful bird and fireflies at night, to the left a big mountain (can only see early on a clear morning before it gets covered by cloud cover) . staff had minimal English compared to other places we have stayed however they where lovely and always greeted us with a big smile. if i had to give them a tip it would be to clean the bathrooms as our bath was covered in stains so we didn't use it but again for $40 a night with that view its hard to complain. i personally wouldn't hesitate to stay again if it was just a few days while doing day trips in ubud (beats the 2 hour drive to and from legian etc everyday)

This was our second hotel to stay at on our trip and it felt more like we were in a nice neighborhood. The staff was very polite and prompt. The shuttles would take you anywhere. The rooms were very clean and spacious, huge bathtub. My friend was interested in taking a cooking class ( something the hotel offers but not on site)but it was a holiday weekend and so most of the classes were canceled. One of the chefs (who we were told was very well-known) invited us to her house for tea and pastries. Great experience! Plenty of shops, restaurants, and spas in the local village. I would say the vibe of this hotel is shabby chic in the jungle. It does need a little love but you are here for the experience, not for it to feel like you are at home.

We had a great stay here, not too far from ubud centre. Our room was great spacious and really tidy. Nice bathroom and a big bed. Welcoming and helpfull staff. They offered a free ride in and back from the centre. Ask a guide in town if he can call them for you but be sure to bring the number!

We had some misfortunes when it came to booking a good hotel on the main road. We wanted to be close to the food spots, and not too out of the way, so we decided to give Anini Raka a try based on good reviews and the fact that it was close to everything. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist and we're escorted to our room. My travel companion wanted to take a shower, but upon turning on the water, we realized that the water pressure here might be a huge problem. The water kept trickling while we waited for some warm water to come, but it never happened. We called front desk and they sent a person to fix it. Nothing changed so they were kind enough to move us to a bigger room. Rook 117 next to the pool in the back area. The room was spacious but extremely dark, but at least the shower worked and there was a tub so we went with it. We swam in the pool which was very clean, and spent two nights at that room. Until what would have been the third night. We went to sleep around 9 pm. I was having weird dreams about being in a Balinese prison that woke me up. 2 or 3 seconds after I opened my eyes, in our pitch black room, I heard what sounded like a knocking on the door. Very soft knock, but enough to wake my companion up. Meanwhile I'm confused not knowing whether I'm awake or still dreaming. I was facing the wall when this happened and my companion was facing the front door. She exclaimed that "there's a man in the room" but when she turned her flashlight on her phone there was nothing there. I jumped up and pulled the blinds up next to the door to see if there's someone there but there was nothing. A very strange sensation took over us and we both decided that it would be best to leave the hotel and that room at that very moment. And so we did. I read other reviews about cockroaches, lizards, and bugs being in the room. It's all true and some say "it's Bali, what do you expect" I've stayed in multiple places and I haven't seen so many dead cockroaches in the bathroom in the morning (we would spray the room at night) That's my experience with Anini. Hope yours is different.

The rooms are relatively large, almost like an apartment. The staff were very friendly and the free shuttle to town and back was a great help. Both pools were nice but there were only 4 sun loungers for the whole hotel which defiantly was not enough.

First a word of warning, most images I saw of this property must have been from a while ago. Everything about this place just feels worn and old now. All staff are really friendly and helpful, very attentive when required. This may in some part be due to the fact that the resort was almost completely empty when we were there. The resort offers a free shuttle to and from Ubud Centre, which is really helpful on those hot, or rainy days. It is only a 15 minute walk if your up for it. Warning, there are some good hills. Breakfast is nice. A choice of coffee/tea and fruit and then either toast and croissants, eggs/bacon/cooked, pancakes or cereal. Nice selection and quantity. No complaints. The location and surrounds are spectacular. It's nice and quiet, with rice paddies and coconut palms everywhere. It certainly feels like paradise when you look outward. There are some amazing restaurants within 5 minutes walk, including: The Elephant, Mosaic and Indus to name but a few. There is also a large Bintang supermarket just down the road for all your essentials, stock up on water here, it's by far the cheapest in all of Ubud. I suppose the main observation I have of this place is it just needs some love, and obviously some money spent on it. It could truly be a spectacular resort in a magical location with some repairs. Until those are made I'd only suggest this resort(?) if it's cheap and you want to stay in this area. Otherwise look at the multitude of other options just around the corner.

We stayed in Anini Raka for five nights and our trip to Ubud. The hotel is lovely and has a great compliment of staff but I must admit that it needs a bit of maintenance to make it great again. The five factors that I would always rate a hotel on are: location- their location is great- walkable distance to the centre of town but walking is not required as they have a reliable shuttle service. Cleanliness- I cant fault the hotel here as our room was always spotless. Staff- I believe the staff go above and beyond here and really make the hotel. Facilities- two clean swimming pools but no wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby. Maintenance- this was my only downfall for the hotel. The gardens were well maintained but I did think that it was in need of a coat of paint and the outdoor furniture needed some attention. Overall I would recommend the hotel for budget travelers but remember that this is where the hotel is aiming its market.

We actually visited in February of 2015. This is a nice little secluded resort on the outskirts of Ubud. The room was quite nice, though the bathroom could have used some updating. Waking up and watching the ducks in the adjacent rice paddy was lovely. Food was pretty good, and the pools and grounds were great. We were virtually alone in the place when we visited, which is a big plus. Easy walk to town. Only downside was a very pushy staff member who kept trying to sell us tours and rides. He gave us a bad vibe. Otherwise, everything was great
