My brother’s wedding at Alila was PERFECT. The resort is beautiful and the food is excellent, but what makes this place truly amazing is the staff. The thoughtful detail and attentiveness to guests’ needs is impressive and humbling. Alila is the perfect place to recover from life. Highly recommended.

We could not have chosen a better place for a belated honeymoon. This place is total relaxation and there’s heaps to do around the candi dasa area. The food at Alila was first class and the pool area was a sensation to lie around.

We stayed at the Alila Manggis for three nights and although the hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly, we are not that excited about the place. There's not much to do besides lying by the pool. There were quite a few people staying there, so the "good" seats (in the shade) were taken early. There's a free shuttle bus to two little towns nearby, but having visited the bigger one (and ended up bored after ten minutes), we refrained from visiting the second one. There was also a complimentary snorkelling trip offered by the hotel - which turned out to be the highlight of our stay. It was fascinating, and really lovely! If you decide to stay there, make sure to book a scooter or a car or organise something else. The hotel offers lots of trips, but always at extra cost.

We arrived here for a destination wedding. We arrived in Bali the week before the wedding and stayed at another resort in Nusa Dua which for us was very good. When we arrived the manager personally greeted us which I thought was both professional and excellent touch. Staff were wonderful, food was excellent, wedding was very well organised with a fantastic location on site and we enjoyed our stay. The only downside for me was the lack of gym facilities and the bed could be improved. If you are wanting to arrive and just relax this is a wonderful place to do it.

I love Alila hotels and Manggis was no exception. From pick up at the airport to our transfer to Alila Ubud, the whole experience was exceptional. Extremely diligent, kind and smiley staff. Beautiful surroundings, both in terms of its location (right on the water) and the built environment. Delicious, healthy food in the restaurant. Great fun activities, like an outdoor film screening in the coconut grove. We’re big fans!

We had many good recommendations in Bali from fashion friends, but we settled on the Alila in Manggis. This is a beautiful setting on the sea. Not the prettiest swimming sea, but beautiful sounds of the sea and a lovely pool which is well shaded and peaceful. The staff is amazingly helpful and kind. The spa is easy and reasonably priced. If budget is an issue the spa near by is even less cost. After a long journey this is not a bad spot to land. As the week develops I’ll add more.

Stayed for 4 days at this peaceful resort. The grounds and pool are vast, the architecture is a contemporary take on Traditional Balinese design. The highlights include the friendly staff and delicious Balinese food (along with international style) at the restaurant. The resort staff organised a mountain to sea bicycle tour....starting at Lempuyang Mountian temple and ending at White Sand Beach. The guide happily accommodated our request to visit Ujung Water Palace. We happened to stay over Nyepi Day....culturally fascinating and supremely peaceful. Overall the Alila Mangiss is excellent value for money, we will certainly return.

We recently returned to Alita Manggis for a well earned break. As always the hotel, staff, amenities and restaurant were first class. It is a special place where everyone does there best to see that you enjoy your stay. Not to mention the chef, he is a legend. Looking forward to returning soon.

I had the best experience at alila Mangiis.. staff was friendly and great! Picture perfect.. great vibe and amazing food. We had an hour message at the spa... by far one of the best bali massages I've had (ocean waves crashing in the background)!! Will definitely come back and/or stay at another Alila :))

I visited the Alila Manggis for a 3-night stay with a professional colleague after a business meeting at another hotel in Bali. The amenities, staff, and activities at the Alila were top notch. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The buildings and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We went bicycling, kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, and dining at a traditional village home while we were there. All were very enjoyable activities.
