Our family of 4 felt right at home in this cozy home. The top floor views of the fern covered tree tops, great sun deck, cozy beds, modern kitchen and furnishings were fully enjoyed. Hosts were easy to communicate with throughout our 7 night stay. Easy golf cart ride or bike ride (great bikes) to the beaches. Would love to return!

A week at BHI

Check-in was smooth. Door code didn’t work at check in or the entire stay. The digital keypad never turned on.Fully stocked kitchen. Good WiFi. No problems with AC. Didn’t stay/sleep in the lofted area but did check it out - very warm but had a fan. Ran out of toilet paper and tide pods - extras were not provided. Wet items from previous renters left in washer as well as the rentals beach towels. Everything is labeled nicely with instructions. Many things that were outlined to do were not as they should have been when we checked in (door unlocked, bikes unlocked, clothes in washer, a cup in the sink)

Great mid-island location located in the Forest. The property was clean and recently renovated. The description said beach towels were provided but there were only 3. The door keypad didn't work when we arrived, but Dawn was helpful at coming up with an alternative solution. There is a washer and dryer but the dryer didn't work (in Dawn's defense it was late in the week so we didn't report the issue.) Overall, great location and nice property.

Great stay at the Royal James!

Our family had a great time at the Royal James. The condo had a well stocked kitchen with upgrades to everything. The space of the condo was exactly as listed. We had a hiccup with one of the carts but the owners were very responsive and got us back up and running in no time. The loft can get a bit warm but with a fan running 24/7 it’s not too bad…especially in the evening.

Great family stay!

Fully equipped and immaculately clean. Great location, teenagers were easily able to ride bikes to the club, lighthouse and the market. Everyone enjoyed the pool which gets maintenance DAILY. Ibis walking around, gorgeous live oak. Was a little worried it would be buggy but didn't get bit at all when enjoying the porch. Royal James is the best kept secret on BHI.

Family Tome

Our stay was one of the best BHI experiences have had so far. First of all we had excellent weather which certainly helps. We love the location, great distance from everything, marina, store, beaches, etc. We like having shade after a day at the beach. The kids loved their loft space and we all enjoyed the back deck. It was nice to have the bikes. We only had to rent 1 adult with child carrier. Morning bike rides and shell searches were an everyday occurrence and nightly visits to see the alligators!!! We will be back. Thank you DDawn and Ben

Relaxing stay

With a wonderful time staying at the Mariners retreat! Location was great. The place was clean and comfortable. The kitchen facilities were very complete. Nearby beach was very convenient plus wildlife overlooks and nature walks nearby. Also two golf carts provided which was a great way to get around the island! Definitely would stay here again.

Awesome stay!

A really great location. Communication was quick and on point with Dawn! The 2 golf carts worked great for our group of 6. Place was clean and spacious enough for all of us! They had everything we needed. Would 100% stay again!

So glad we chose this place to stay

we chose this condo based on ratings and not needing a whole house for my Husband and I ALTHOUGH… this condo would house an entire family just fine! The condo itself is very clean and updated. The Neighborhood is peaceful. We saw lots of deer near the entrance of the neighborhood almost every time we road through! The owners were very accommodating and easily contacted. 10 out of 10 recommend. We would def stay here again.

Great BHI accommodation.

Everything we needed was there and in working order. We enjoyed the location, central to the island, the golf carts were well maintained, plenty of towels provided, quality washer/dryer. The pool was great after a day at the beach (but the property association should consider redoing the wooden deck, it is a splinter hazard) Great place to stay, highly recommended

5 Star Vacation

This vacation home was one for the books! I highly recommend this place and these hosts! Some of the best you can find on BHI. They are very accommodating and do everything to make your stay the best! The house is so beautiful. Something we found so useful was the kicking AC and a working ice maker. Would definitely recommend and also will be staying here again!
