I have had the best experience staying at the InterContinental Regency Bahrain. Beautiful rooms, great location and excellent staff. I partook of the Club Lounge while there and I can't say enough good things about the food, the drink and especially the wonderful friendly staff. Jessa, Shina, Mohammed, and Donna; just to name a few of the great staff in the lounge. They made me feel like I was a princess and could not be more welcoming and helpful. The business center there was a great perk. I got a lot of work done and was able to get a great rest every night on the super comfy bed. The cleaning staff was always great on getting my room taken care of everyday and I loved getting the chocolate every evening. They even kept my mini bar snacks replenished. I will definitely be coming back when I am in the area again. Thank you Benson for helping me get our reservations set. You all are the best!!!
This grand property is an exceptional example of an IHG hotel. The real credit here goes to the staff, in particular, the two airport drivers Jinesh and Baber, Irina in the Club Lounge and the always professional and wonderful Shiena. The rooms are well proportioned and provide an excellent facility. Bathroom is well stocked with toiletries and the food is superb. I enjoyed my stay here and thanks again to those staff who made it feel like a home from home!
Excellent front desk staff ... special thanks to Mustafa (front desk) who helped making my stay peaceful and free of any hassles as my day meetings lasted till late and he managed to grant very late check out
do not hesitate to pass of your concern to staff like me. I had a challenge about the pillows. I ignored it because of two nights. There are ready to listen you to give the best serve. kind staff and management
We had a one day stopover and we choose the Interconti as our place to stay. As a gold ambassador in their program, I always like to take advantage of the benefits. Arrival was fine, we were greeted kindly and we felt home in the IHG world. I wasn’t sure about our guaranteed room upgrade (we were allocated into the “executive level”, that we are eligible being IHG Gold Ambassador so we went to the room first. We also asked for a quiet room as we are light sleepers. Arriving on our room 630, it’s a pool view room, we were facing a live band at the pool which was quite loud. But as it was 6pm only, we didn’t mind, and it was over at not even 9pm so this wasn’t an issue at all. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize, that right between the hotel rooms and the pool, on mezzanine level, there are around 20 air condition tubes that make a hell of a noise once the music didn’t cover it. Sounded like being in a plane – being in our room. Luckily, we always have our ear plugs and noise cancelling earphones with us, so we still were able to sleep well. The beds were very comfortable. In between we went to the reception to check about our “room upgrade” because actually, I didn’t see the upgrade to our booked room comparing the room options on the website. So, after some very friendly discussions, we received Club access which was the best move for all of us. Still sitting in the lounge, we are extremely impressed by the kindness and professionality of the staff. And the food and drink choice in the lounge is exceptional. Nothing to do, what we experienced in any other IHG or SPG lounge yet. A la carte food and drinks, full breakfast, nice lunch and dinner, cocktails and greatest staff ever serving. We are very thankful to Irina, Didar and Siyam being very professional and very well trained making the stay very enjoyable. Also thanks to Benson, the duty manager, how made it possible to experience the Club. On our next trip, we’ll definitely book Club access, its so worth it! So even if we had some noise and “upgrade” issues, we do recommend the hotel, and this is mainly thanks to the persons above. See you next time guys, good luck!
I stayed at the hotel for 2 months I find the hotel an excellent choice, centrally located with easy access to shops and Souk, city centre mall is less than 5 mins by car. I particularly enjoyed the downtown bar within the hotel there is an excellent Filipino band who really are very good. the waiter service staff are also very nice and friendly. on a few occasions I was ill from weather and upon calling the reception the team went and bought my medicine and made tea with lemon honey and ginger and within a few days I was healthy again, Mr Gam Jean the Captain as they call him dressed in a white uniform with a captains hat on was always on hand to assist with vehicles and baggage he really added a extra sparkle of kindness to the hotel reception entrance such a great team well done to the ladies and gentlemen at the intercontinental regency Manama.
This hotel is an excellent example of how door staff can set the tone of the establishment. Of particular note is the excellent consistent service provided by Gam Jean. Always smiling, always cheerful, always willing to help, he epitomises the corporate image that any first rate establishment should seek to present. First class. Two negatives: Firstly, despite choosing this hotel at least four times recently, with averages stays of five nights each time, they have never invited me to sample their club facilities. I mentioned this last time as I left and despite mentioning it on arrival this time they still did not take the hint. I hold a Gold Card with Hyatt and so am used to corporate hotel chains - and while Hyatt didn’t have a presence in Bahrain this an opportunity for them to gain another customer. They failed to take the chance so perhaps I should look to another hotel chain that would take the hint. Secondly, I asked for a quiet room ‘with no noisy children nearby.’ They gave me one, but two days later they promptly moved a family with screaming kids into the next room.
It is one of the best hotels in Bahrain and it became my home whenever I visit Bahrain. i have stayed in Regency Bahrain for 3 times this year and i really enjoy it. To make it short, points are below: - Quite hotel neighboring Bab Albahrain (The Heart of Manama). - Direct access to the main road so you don't get stuck in the narrow roads of the old city. - Spacious lobby - Great facilities ( 2 pools and a good size gym) - Friendly staff and special thanks to Mahmoud in the reception and Gam Jean the concierge who were very helpful. - The windows of the rooms are a bit small. - Value for money Note: better not to book with breakfast to enjoy an authentic bahraini breakfast in Bab Albahrain mall especially at an authentic old bahraini restaurant called Haji Gahwa (since 1950). Special thanks again to the staff of the for making my stay in Bahrain perfect. Thanks, Ahmed Alsayyah
There are many aspects of a stay at this hotel that make it special, such as the range of facilities, friendly faces, & excellent food, however, it is the outstanding service provided by the staff at the club lounge that make the real difference. Their efforts to make everything as perfect as it can be, are as interminable as they are commendable. It makes a real difference when staff are familiar with your preferences and remember the details. Nothing ever seems to be an issue in their pursuit of making your stay as pleasant as possible.
Everything is really excellent and amazing in this hotel!!!Especially the club lounge!! all the staffs are so welcoming and their hospitality is really first class. Thanks a lot for the treat for our anniversary!! This is a truly Intercontinental style property👍
