The main reason why am visiting this hotel are the staff, specially the main restaurant staff; they are so friendly and funny, you feel like you are in your home. The hotel is old but elegant and you will enjoy staying there.
This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed here for work. I am consistently amazed at the staff here! Every single person is bright, cheery and helpful. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they really know how to make you feel very special. It’s rare!!!! Even my birthday got a beautiful cake and a beautiful song! This little things are what makes a hotel exceptional!! The rooms are big n comfy and very clean! I have nothing but great things to say! You can stick your “7” star hotels: this one is the one I shall always use! It’s outstanding. Thanks team Crowne Plaza! Be proud of your brilliant team! They are fantastic.
We visited for a long weekend and were pleased overall with our stay. There was a pretty lively brunch going on in the hotel bar when we arrived, but check-in was easy. We were on the top floor, but somehow only climbed one flight of stairs. There did not seem to be an elevator. Staff carried our luggage up, but an elevator would have been nice to bring our bags down. Several areas were under construction, but that didn’t really affect our stay. We had breakfast in the restaurant each morning (Harvesters, I think), and while the selection was pretty carb-heavy and the food was nothing noteworthy, the service was outstanding. The location made it easy to get to the new Avenues mall and other destinations in the area. The room was comfortable, great A/C, limited TV channels, comfy bed. The view was of the A/C units, but we had booked the cheapest rate. You get what you pay for, although we are IHG members, so an upgrade would have been a nice gesture.
Try the seafood night buffet! Check their seafood night schedule and make sure you make pre arrangement. One of the best I got experience in Bahrain for seafoods. The Japanese sushi and sashimi are worth for the budget. We will definitely go back here!
Of course the Crowne Plaza (CP) is a lovely hotel and in my humble opinion one of the best CPs I've stayed in. The staff are very welcoming especially Madhu the Concierge. But I am writing this review to highlight two people from the Mosaic restaurant team - Chef Helen and waiter Awwal. Helen made the most fantastic eggs benedict and Awwal was very attentive about ensuring I had everything I need. Both are excellent under the management of the Executive Chef David Maris from France.
Spent a night for a business meeting in the hotel. The place is rather huge and spread out not great for any kind of quick in and out thing. We arranged transport to and from the airport with the hotel. The pickup was fast and smooth, but getting to the airport was not. The car did not arrive, we had to book another taxi and there were some tense moments. Other than that, the food was good and staff friendly. I did not have the opportunity to try anything else.
Once I read that The front desk is truly the heartbeat of any hotel, I truly believe it is a fact! why because they are the center of all request from Guest, but in my last stay at Crowne Plaza the front desk that works at early morning 05 am they need a Shock to reactivate the hearbeat of the hotel, after I arrived I explained to Mr.Don at the front desk that I need to wake up early at 04:45 to be at the causeway in a good time not traffic, so wake call puntual, but when I arrived to the front desk the 2 persons in the area were either sleepy or they were just there but not to do anything, I advised him that I will stay another night and get my room ready before my return around 4pm, then I requested my car and I was told the person who bring the cars is in pray time break, I do respect and encourage that but what it is hard for me to understand why there is no contingency plan in case you need your car in this period, so I was waiting outside expecting that any of these 2 gentlemen took the initiative to get my car, so as time pass and nothing happened I went inside again and I told him get my keys and tell me where is my car parked, cant wait longer so I go the keys and I could spot in the four floor of the parking lot my SRT, well I rush up and start driving to KSA as I missed about 25 mins I got stuck in the Cause Traffic..., and guess what happened when I returned at 05:30 pm My room was not ready! I was no happy and politely I asked mr Don again what I asked the previous day and I request him to ensure that if I need to get my car at least parked beside the hotel entrance, upon my check out I spoke with Mr. Brendon Rozario Front Office Manger and I told him I will put the link for what is Running the Extra mile and he can share it his team as lesson learned, https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g293997-d308106-r535442513-InterContinental_Regency_Bahrain-Manama.html#CHECK_RATES_CONT So if you plan to leave early from Crowne Plaza, Ensure your car is parked right there at the entrance! but Be ready in case you need to rush up!
What can I say that I haven’t said before. It was nice to see some renovations taking place to update the hotel and also impressive that these renovations did not really impact my stay at all. The staff are still super friendly and always helpful and efficient. Keep up the good work.
Had just stopped in Bahrain for a day at this hotel. While I'm not usually a big fan of this chain, I was pleasantly surprised by the service. The hospitality department is clearly working overtime, because the smiles and offers of help are ubiquitous. The room was fairly large and well furbished. If I had a grouse it would be that there was a faint smell of mold...some of the draperies could possibly do with some aeration in the sun. And oh, I unfortunately had a singularly unprepossessing view. The breakfast was very well done and since the weather was so good, it was a pleasure to eat out on their verandah. All in all, very good.
Very good hotel with super friendly staff. i like room size . swimming pool. lounge cafe with its show ... enjoyable . The only one nigative point as smoker .. all smoking rooms in ground floor which reqiore close the window all time
