Staff is friendly. Hotel is little old fashioned but does the job. Included breakfast is decent. Hotel is close to street food that is worth it. Shower is not adapted for medium or tall people. Had no problem with the rest.
This is a rather big city hotel with a beautiful lobby. The rooms are spacious and clean. Some parts of the hotel look little bit worn, but it makes the charm of this hotel and gives you a colonial impression. Big and good breakfast setting, but it can get crowdy. In the evening a dinner outside near the riverbank is in our opinion a must done. It is rather expensive though, but the garden area is just romantic. One point of comment on this though: with the lightest drop of rain the staff make you go inside and close the beautiful terrace. Then all the charm is lost because you are dining in the breakfast area.
Stayed at this hotel many times. Get a room with a view of the river on top floors. The gym is not so big but it's got all I need and outdoor pool which mostly has shade is fine (maybe a little to much chlorine) The breakfast is awesome (try it in the garden) and the service is good overall.
Very dated property must of been very popular at one time everything in the rooms are outdated as well as the food on the property not good. I would recommend a one day trip To Ayutthaya to see the ruins and drive back to Bangkok. Only saving grace is that they have an Italian restaurant so we ordered Pizza. You can't mess that up.
middle of the city... left and right food, massage, people! busy not busy! there's a temple 2 minutes walk. 7-11 a few steps away. good size pool. they have massage but you can just walk outside for cheaper. gym decent size. great area!
Our tour guide took us here for a buffet lunch on our day trip from Bangkok. We are not a fan of Buffets, but this was actually pretty good. As vegetarians, we were able to find a lot of options. From sauteed potatoes, to pasta, cakes, noodles, sushi, fried rice, rolls, fruit, and cheese we were able to happily fill our stomachs before continuing a long day of touring. The staff were nice, seats and tables were comfortable and clean, as were the toilets. A little gift shop at the exit was nice too.
The hotel is located in the heart of Ayutthaya near the Naraesuan Bridge and Pa Sak River. It has recent renovations. There are views of the river. It has several dining areas with a respectable variety of food. There is no time for relaxation and recreation. There are so many things to see and adventures to go on in the city. If you are not too tired from site seeing, check out there gym and the pool. The staff is very helpful.
The hotel is a well maintained and the Staff are very helpful apart from one of the Reception Staff. We enjoyed the stay and the views from the lower restaurant balcony along with the nice clean room were a bonus. There we two problems that I need to mention: 1. The pool requires you collect your towels from the fitness suite but when this is closed you collect them from the Reception however when I called down to ask about the towels because there was a closed sign on the fitness suite I was told to go back to the fitness suite as it was now open. It would have been easier to just give me the towels! 2. There is a great selection of breakfast food available but I am sorry to say that is is not kept very warm and that it is not refreshed that often so dishes are allowed to go cold and not replaced as often as they should be. Overall the hotel offers a great service so only minor issues and nothing that would stop me booking here again.
Hotel staff were rude, lazy and they tried to charge us for 2 waters from the minibar that we had not drunk. Pool was filthy, had not been cleaned in weeks. Lots of staff stood around chatting and were put out when you asked them for help. Breakfast is OK, I asked for an omelette and the girl tried to give me one that had been sat there all morning and was unhappy when I asked for a fresh one. This hotel is not representative of the truly exceptional service that we have received in the rest of Thailand.
A perfectly nice hotel, well placed on the river bank and close to the railway station. We stayed one night in a comfortable room with view over the busy river. A good dinner on the terrace by the river was a nice end of a interesting day of visiting the old sites in Ayuttayah town.
