It is private-semi secluded- and very safe. Stars are dimmed from the Austin and nearby lights while cars and a train whistle can be heard. I am working towards a wildlife/native habitat refuge; with our neighbor, there is 18 acres (which contributes to the country feeling however 15 acres are not available to guests.). Under the cabin, on occasions, we are visited by a critter or two. This is a rare but does mutually surprise us all - after dusk of course. Property is fed by an underground aquifer with a soft water system and reverse osmosis installed. Holidays, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas have a minimum stay of 3 nights required. Very disappointed
We asked for and anticipated seclusion and private .The house seems like it’s close to falling down. The host lives less than 50 ft away.I would like to see if I can get my money back …but it was payed for thru affirm…so I don’t know if I’m able to achieve that goal.VRBO help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. We told the host Tammy (?) we were NOT staying there .Very disappointing.Mr Red Crofoot

A sanctuary outside the city!
What a delightful space! The cabin is a cute and self contained room that has everything you need. The property was an absolute dream and the salt water spa was extra dreamy during a cloudy evening sunset. Host(s) were super warm and welcoming and even showed me around some great spots in town! 10/10 recommend if you need to unwind and reset.

Tranquil relaxing cozy cabin vibes
My spouse and I loved this place! We were greeted and felt welcomed by Tamara upon arrival. She was super friendly, helpful, accommodating and you a lot about the area to help us find places to eat hang out and visit. We found that the cabin was cozy relaxing and comfortable and there was everything that we could need. She had all the things that I enjoy like tea and coffee as well as all the different necessities. The clawfoot tub was really relaxing and we loved the hot tub outside. The hot tub was positioned where you could see the stars which is super magical every romantic. We also loved the patio where you can sit outside and see the birds and enjoy listening to nature sounds while having our breakfast or just relaxing. We also found that it was cool that it was so close to civilization but also felt like it was in the country so you could relax and not feel like you're so close to the city but you actually are. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a cozy relaxing vacation away from the city. Can't recommend it enough! We will come back here.when needed anything
Coming from the city I love the peaceful nature retreat! Mega hot tub/pool was a nice experience in the evening under the Texas stars. Very fun weekend.

It's never a good sign when you're not sure which cabin on the property is yours. It is an even worse sign when you find the cabin and realize it already has a tenant who has locked you out.

Good stay, a bit misleading
We stayed here with our 2 year old and our dog. We chose this place for location, pet friendly and the land. The property was very beautiful and conveniently located. Communication with our host was very easy and they were responsive.
My only feedback with the property would be that we believed there was a private room for sleeping. We were unaware that it was an efficiency so that made it difficult with my toddler. It would be helpful if they updated the photos to show the one bed , and the entire space. There are duplicate photos of the bed with different comforters which you would think were different bedrooms.
Only other issue is that I didn’t realize that there would be other dogs on the property. There were 3 other dogs which made us nervous for our dog because she has been attacked before. We would not have brought her with knowing this beforehand.
There is no pool, but there is a jacuzzi.
Again, overall a nice stay just some misleading information.

Convenient location to Austin attractions in a quiet country setting. Grandkids loved playing in the swim spa/hot tub. Lots of room to walk our dog. It is close to a train track so some train noise.

Our old neighborhood
This was a visit to our old neighborhood and we were not able to spend time at the VRBO. It’s a great location and provided a perfect base of operations. The Tom turkey named Christmas was frisky but not a problem for an old farm boy.

Turkeys
Owner was nice and helpful/available. Cabin and hot tub/lap pool were clean but the outside property needed some upkeep. Cabin was hot, the window unit was not enough for that space and would not cool off until around 11pm. But the worst thing was the owner had some free range turkeys that were a little bothersome. Every time we were outside during the day, they were right there like we were supposed to feed them, they got a little too close for comfort, one of them even got on the hood and roof of my car!

Super cute cozy studio
This was by far the best place I have stayed in a long time. What an amazing experience.
This place gives a sense of a retreat and sanctuary. Tamara was very on point with communication and support. Also, Landers, he lives in the property. What an amazing man, he helped me out with my rides and share cool places to visit.
The hot tub/pool is like an oversized hot tub. Perfect addiction to this experience. I will always stay at this place if available whenever I visit Austin.
Btw, this is not a place for a family. Could be a romantic getaway or for a single person. Bed was super comfy, AC, heater, kitchenette.
Thank you again Tamara and Landers, I’ll be back soon

Very quaint and unique cottage
I enjoyed my stay at the cute yellow cottage for my stay in Austin. The location worked perfectly for me for my holistic health training course which was only 10 minutes away. Tamara really is a wonderful
host and generously provided me with a couple things I needed for my stay. She even went out and bought a crock pot so I could cook in the cottage. There was a small water issue but she responded immediately and got everything in working order again on the spot. Her place feels very rural and is submersed in nature with deer that come visit and she even has friendly turkeys that roam the property. She also has an amazing swim spa that feels amazing in the hot summer days of Austin weather. I would recommend this cottage for anyone wanting a relaxing, peaceful place to stay close to Austin.
