It was ok

Floor was dirty in the room only half the light worked. Went to use the shower in the morning it didn’t work. Tub spout shot off the pipe from the wall. Total dive

The worst expierence ever! We were not aware we had to pay for parking until check in. Then we put in a room that smelled like Weed. The front desk clerk brought us keys to a new room. That room was gross. The walls had booger and something suspiciously poop colored smeared on the walls. The floor was filthy. When you flush the toilet it makes a high pitch scream. When I was chexking out I was telling the front desk clerk about it and she said "yeah sorry. sometimes our cleaning staff just go so fast they dont notice the smell and stuff on the floor." Basically Do Not Stay here if you expect to be able to take your shoes off. There are more hotels in the area for the same price range that cleaner and better. There is another La Quinta 5 mins away that is cleaner and better. Just dont do it. I wish I could have my money back.

Parking is VERY expensive (about $27/night). Room interiors are clean and modern, but facility exteriors, stairwells, etc. aren't very well maintained. Rooms are a mix of interior hallway access and exterior walkway access. Exterior access rooms face in to a large inner court yard, which was noisy.

They charge 25 bucks a night for parking and you cannot just take your car and go everything has to be done by valet. None of that is mentioned until you get there.

I like that it was close to 6th st and i think they could modernize its elevator but other than that everything was fine.

Heater didn't work first night, was stuck on AC and had to figure out how to unplug. Heater was also noisy when it was running. They gave me a corner room on ground floor which had a lot of street noise, I know that's not their fault but I felt like because I was a single man I got put into a crappy room.

This particular La Quinta Inn was way too old and run down. It was nasty. I felt really uncomfortable staying ther, especially at a rate of $180+ per night. This place isn’t worth more then $60 a night, equivalent to Motel 6.

The property needs to be updated since it is situated in DT Austin, otherwise, not a bad place to stay a couple of nights

Very rough. Mold on ceiling in bathroom. Room smelled. Fitness room had very strong mildew smell. One elevator not working, other was “jumpy”. Location is good, but that is it! The nicest area was stairwell, which we used quite a bit.

I liked its close proximity to the Megabus station, the Capitol, and the music venues. Perfect location for my purposes.

I liked the king bed it was very comfy didn’t like the small walk ways with the luggage cart

This place really needs an update. Very old carpet and furniture. Bathroom was very old. First impression was very sad. Needs a coat of paint. Outdoor hallways were dirty and near the ice machines were large puddles. The lobby had a large drink spill when I was in the waiting area one morning. Staff was very helpful and kind. Bed linens were clean and bed was well-made. Location was good. A/C worked, but had wires hanging out of the bottom. A decent breakfast spread. Not great. The only hot food was waffles/toast. No eggs/meat. Boiled eggs would have been nice for those who need protein and easy to add to the buffet. All in all. I would not stay there again.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your recent stay. Although we try our best to ensure our guests are happy based on your feedback we failed in that endeavor. Our apologies. We will be speaking the front desk team about the response you received as that in itself is completely unacceptable and not true. Our housekeeping team should be making work orders for stained carpets and other issues within the rooms prior to being sold. Again thank you for your feedback and our apologies.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your recent stay. We do regularly audit our booking sites to ensure the parking fees are kept updated. As we are a downtown location parking is very limited, however we are the least expensive in the downtown area. Our apologies that this was not the case with your booking. Your feedback will be shared with the team on hopes of correcting the opportunities listed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience here at La Quinta Austin Capitol. We are sorry you missed the information about parking. As i know budgeting for your trip can be thrown up with unexpected fees. Parking is listed on all third party websites being a prime location all downtown hotels charge for parking as our fees are less expensive than others.
