Stayed at the Grand Chancellor Auckland and honestly, the rooms were great, the location was spot on, but let’s be real—the true five-star experience was the bar staff. I don’t know what kind of magic training they’ve had, but I’m convinced they could mix a cocktail blindfolded while simultaneously solving world peace.

Great hotel would definitely stay again. Checkin staff looked after us so well. Hotel was immaculately clean in all areas and smelt lovely. Loved the idea of the green scheme where you got a $10 credit on your account for re using towels etc. The fridge in our room didn’t work at all but we didn’t mention it till we checked out as we didn’t use it anyway. Breakfast was lovely. Some good options. Coffee from the machine was revolting though so we took our own coffee to breakfast the next day.
