The Space:

Getaway Waiheke is relaxed and welcoming, the kind of home where days flow easily between the beach, the village, and time spent together. Set just behind Oneroa in a peaceful pocket of the neighbourhood, the home brings together an open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area that keeps everyone connected while cooking dinner, reading on the sofa, or opening the doors to let the morning breeze drift through.



The living space opens out to a wide covered deck and generous lawn, perfect for slow breakfasts, sunny lunches, or evenings that stretch out over shared meals while the garden settles around you. With off-street privacy and greenery on all sides, it feels like your own quiet corner of the island.



The home sleeps up to six guests across three comfortable bedrooms and two modern bathrooms. Two queen rooms offer soft, airy retreats, while the twin room gives children or friends their own space. The layout feels balanced and practical and there is room for everyone to unwind without being on top of one another.



Please note: There are CCTV cameras positioned to monitor the driveway and garage area. These are operational at all times for security purposes.

Minimum Stays

7 nights mid-December to mid-January | 3 nights on holiday weekends | 2 nights at all other times.



Guest Access:

Guests have full, private access to the home, deck, lawn, and off-street parking area.



Check-in is from 2:00 pm, and check-out is 10:30 am.

Early check-in or late check-out may be available for a small fee depending on other bookings, and can only be confirmed closer to your arrival.

If there is a same-day turnaround, these options are not available.



The Neighborhood:

Getaway Waiheke sits in a peaceful pocket just behind Oneroa Village, the island’s main hub for coffee, food, and everyday essentials. It’s an easy walk down to Oneroa Beach, where you can swim, wander the shoreline, or simply sit on the sand with a takeaway flat white in hand.



In the village, everything’s close and familiar, cafés, boutiques, and simple spots for lunch. Stop by Too Fat Buns for one of their award-winning beef burgers, then wander down to the beachfront and enjoy it while watching the waves roll in. For breakfast, Akito Café is loved for its relaxed, plant-forward menu, and Wai Kitchen offers brunch with a view over the bay.



When evening comes, you’re spoilt for choice. For something casual, grab a pizza and a drink at Solar Eating House. Or for a splurge, book a table at The Oyster Inn, one of Waiheke’s best-loved restaurants, owned by Josh Emett, known for refined seafood and relaxed, seaside dining with a view.



By the time you head home, the village has quietened, the sea is still, and the island feels like it’s exhaled.



Getting Around:

There’s off-street parking at the property, so bringing a car is easy and convenient. You’re also just a short walk from public transport, the nearest bus stop on Matai Road is about a one-minute walk from your door, making it simple to hop on and explore the island.



Visiting the vineyards couldn’t be easier. Leave the car at home and jump on the bus, no need to worry about driving afterwards, and you can enjoy wine tastings and local craft beverages along the way. The route passes some of Waiheke’s best-loved wineries, including Cable Bay, Mudbrick, Tantalus Estate, Stonyridge, Casita Miro, and Wild on Waiheke, where you can linger over long lunches or tasting flights before heading home.



Be sure to stop at The Heke Kitchen, Brewery & Distillery, a favourite local spot known for its wood-fired food, craft beers, and relaxed garden atmosphere.



Public buses run regularly between the ferry terminal, Oneroa Village, the main beaches, and vineyard stops. Taxis and rideshares are available but can be expensive, especially in the evenings or during peak season, so the bus is often the easiest and most relaxed way to get around.



Other Things to Note:

Like many Waiheke homes, Getaway Waiheke runs on rainwater, so we ask guests to use it thoughtfully during their stay.

With steps around the garden and decking, the home may not suit guests with limited mobility.



Minimum stay requirements apply, seven nights from mid-December to mid-January, three nights on holiday weekends, and two nights at all other times

Our Stay Waiheke team is available 7 days a week, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with after-hours support for urgent matters.
