A relaxing cabin

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin and loved the easy access to not only Lake Superior but Deer Lake, Munising and Marquette. This is a great location to stay and enjoy the tranquility but have restaurants and many things to do within a 30 minute drive.

Beautiful setting.

The cabin was wonderful and the setting was beautiful. We enjoyed the sunrise every morning at a picnic table overlooking Lake Superior. The kayaks were a great addition and the bay was calm when we visited. Lovely family owned cabins.

Get-away

Great stay at a quiet but very central location. We explored several waterfalls and Pictured Rocks which were all in a few minutes drive. I would definitely book here again.

Cozy cabin on the lake

The cabin was clean and roomy with comfortable furniture. The host Sarah was easy to communicate with and very friendly. The free canoes and kayaks were awesome as well!

Fantastic location

We loved our stay at Kimar’s Resort! Sarah was very friendly and welcoming. The location was great to easily get to Marquette and Munising. Loved being able to watch sunrise on Lake Superior and then sunset at the inland lake right across the street. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Time!!!

We had an amazing time, I would most defiantly go back there. Next time I would like to book one of there fishing charters! Sarah was wonderful to deal with. Very peaceful, LOVE rock hunting near by, on the shore line.

Sister’s vacation

Very clean cabin and we had everything that was needed for our stay. A couple of the beds was a little bit hard but that was the the only thing bad about our stay. We would all rent the cabins again.

Sweet friendly spot for a UP getaway!

We were looking for a great place to be self-sufficient as we spent a few days hiking, kayaking and exploring the area. Kimar's Resort was exactly what we needed. It was lovely being right on Lake Superior, as well as walking over to Deer Lake. We had great communication with the owners, and the one minor issue we had was resolved immediately. Really appreciated staying at this friendly spot!

A great place for a relaxing weekend

A great quiet place for a relaxing weekend just a few yards from the shore of Lake Superior. Sarah was very friendly and welcoming and was quick to respond to any of our questions via text. She also had good lrecommendations for hiking, visiting area waterfalls, restaurants, etc. Kimar’s Resort is conveniently situated almost exactly between Munising and Marquette, so it was a good “home base” for our excursions to both areas. Checking in and out was super easy. We enjoyed our stay!

Everything we were hoping for

We loved the unit and everything else that the property had to offer. I would definitely consider going back in the future. Good fit for families or smaller groups. It was quiet at night and beautiful during the day. We were able to view the sunrise in the bay just a few feet from our front door. There are large public beaches not too far away and plenty to do for a weekend away or week long adventure.

Perfect

Sarah was so hospitable - she thought of everything! Even offered to let us borrow their UV light so the kids could hunt for yooperlites. The lake across the street was perfect for swimming in June - much warmer than Lake Superior. Sarah offered great recommendations on things to do and restaurants. If we get the chance to go to the UP again we’ll be back!

Clean no frills fishing cabin.

The resort is exactly as advertised. A clean well maintained fishing camp. The cabin is well stocked and kept up. The TV and everything worked well. Deer lake is a quick 2 minute drive if you want to swim or be on the beach. The shore at the camp is rocky (as advertised) but the sunrise is amazing. I'm a VRBO regular and Sarah has great communication and is very honest. Great base camp to explore Munising area and Picture Rocks.

Don’t pass this one by.

One of my best vacation experiences so far. You can watch the sunrise over Lake superior from your window. Kayaks and canoes are available should you decide to brave the waters. Our cabin was beautiful. It had everything we needed to make our state complete. It was clean and it smelled amazingly good when we walked in. Add to it, the owner was kind enough to even let us check in early. I will be back.
