We had a hole in our bathroom, A HOLE, it was disgusting. Our microwave looks like it hadn't been cleaned in year. It had dried up food particles, and it was rusted. We didn't attempt to use it because of our disgusting it was. The floor was sticky and smelled like Faboloso. It was hard to breathe in there. The A/C was hanging from the side. This hotel sucks, i advise you to just STAY AWAY! Don't be fooled by the customer review.
1) no front desk person to check in with 2) security guard charged me $5.00 cash for WiFi access - see image - had to take photo of his phone. 3) no iron & ironing board Bed was fine - close to office max Ugghhh
Dirty, run down, reception was polite but gave me a 'fake' refund when I said I would not stay. Had to contact booking website to ask for a refund. Fortunately I had the receptionists name and I asked for a business card along with the 'çredit'. Not a great side of Atlanta in general. East side of Atlanta feels quite run down. Go a bit further north.
I arrived at 2pm at the Studio 6 in Chamblee and was told my room was not ready. I returned at 3:30 and was given room 521. My room was still not ready or cleaned. Afterwards I got stuck in the elevator and had to call the front desk from my cell phone. When I complained to the manager. A very rude man from Brooklyn, NY I was told he did not want me staying there and I needed to leave. I will be contacting the district manager on Monday. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
front desk was nice, room was very good for the price. everything in the kitchenette worked, and full size fridge was a plus. It was noisy, but nothing a good pair of earplugs didn't solve. The only downside was the floors were dirty, so bring a pair of flip flops to walk inside with. Being an outside entrance probably doesn't help with the floors cleanliness either. wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Very disappointed with my room. It had a bad odour from as soon as I entered and I only was able to mask it a bit by accidently burning some food one night. I was told I would get daily housekeeping, however this only happened 4 out of the 6 nights I stayed. And when I did get housekeeping it was by only pulling the sheets back on the bed and sometimes not even tucking the sheet in. The bins weren't even emptied and no new soap daily. Received fresh towels once as they were placed on the kitchen table and not in the bathroom. However the staff and other guests were very friendly and the hotel is walking distance from the train station and Walmart. Free and fast internet
Studio 6 was our refuge from hurricane Irma, and we are thankful that the hotel had two rooms available and accepted our pets. Our thanks to the staff who helped us while booking by phone. It was one of the few places with availability in the Atlanta area. An added bonus was Jay and his BBQ truck. He provided hearty food during our week-long stay. Studio 6 is a renovated Motel 6, so it offers limited amenities in order to keep costs down (maid service 1-2 times per week, very basic towels, very small bars of soap, no shampoo), though it does offer free wifi and cable. Rooms are actually quite spacious and provide a small kitchen area. Studio 6 has two problems, one which management can't correct and the other they can. What can't be corrected (though perhaps it could be mitigated), are the paper-thin walls. During our stay, our neighbors on both sides seemed to have the TV on 24/7 - even all night. That noise, plus constant walking in the room above us provided a continuous barrage of noise all day and all night. If you have trouble sleeping, you are better off in your car. The second problem is cigarette smoke. We asked for - and may have received - two non-smoking rooms. Unfortunately, with air circulated from one HVAC system, air from smokers' rooms are pumped into all rooms. When we returned home after a week, we had to launder all of our clothes to get the foul smell out. Despite advertising non-smoking rooms, there is no such thing at this Studio 6. I urge management to go the route of most other hotels and, for the benefit of staff and guests alike, ban smoking on the property. Ultimately, I think management and staff make a good faith effort to run a friendly and affordable property - and once again, we appreciated finding a safe place during the hurricane. Future guests should understand the advantages and drawbacks when considering whether or not to book there.
They have free wifi. The rooms were clean. check in was super simple. It wasn't super sketchy either which is nice. HBO is included which was an added plus. Would definitely stay here again. Can't beat it for the price
I travel a lot for my job and often stay in weekly, studio type motels and hotels to cut down on expenses. I have had my share of bad to miserable experiences. I had a mediocre stay at this location prior to the new Manager Dave's arrival. The rooms have been fully renovated, the grounds are well-kept, and the staff has been nothing short of professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The housekeeping staff does a great job as well. This is the only place I consider when staying in Metropolitan Atlanta.
Started off with very rude front desk agent. Went through full prosses of checking me in before she let me know my request for ground floor room wouldn't be possible. The whole time agent acted like she was doing me a favor by letting me stay there. Was given room on fifth floor, and told us elevator. Got stuck in elevator, it started again on its own. Room was clean, but everything was very worn. Towles were just a little larger than hand towel. No iron or ironing board in room. Given two very small bars of soap. Sheets were hard and rough. After a few hours here could see this was a transient hotel. No place for a family, had everything offered to for sale from drugs to sex. Wouldn't stay here again.
