While in Greece we had a wonderful experience with the Margi. The food is excellent and it has great wine, unlike many other restaurants in the area. The hotel smells amazing and is beautiful. Most notably, my father slipped on a stair at the Margi hotel and the manager himself drove us to the hospital and ensured we were taken care of, including doing all translations. We were so grateful and amazed by this gesture. All in all, a standout hotel & staff.
Very nice hotel even in winter time. Excellent service nice and comfortable room. Appreciated quite environment nice Xmas atmosphere and breakfast. Ideally situated to visit our friends in this area of greater Athens. Airport is reachable without entering Athens’s city center.
Its been 2 years since I last visited and due to the low months I was given a larger room in the front overlooking the pool. Nicer rooms from what I can remember. The hotel was kitted out for Christmas and it looked very festive and classy. The service was very good and the staff friendly. An enjoyable couple of days. Breakfast is really very good. One of the best I have seen. We ate in the restaurant as well but although the food was ok I thought it was slightly overpriced and the wine certainly so. After that first night we ate out. I looked around the spa but won't comment on the service other than to say a massage looks to be about 130 euros for the hour. You be the judge on price as I am not a frequent spa visitor.
We arrived at this hotel, and from the moment we walked in ,we knew this was going to be lovely .Friendly, articulate staff on desk, very helpful in all aspects of customer assistance . Our room was beautifully furnished, immaculately clean and our view over the beautiful pool area was stunning We had a vast choice of delicious breakfasts, hot and cold foods. We dined at the restaurant in the evening, an excellent meal and priced reasonably . All in all, perfect hotel, well done management and staff. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay here. One point for management consideration, by no means a criticism, is that we Brit's like milk or creamers with our coffee, and the room coffee making facilities have no sachets of creamer.. But, if that's all I can moan about....Margi, you're doing everything right!!! Will remember for years to come.. Thank you all.
Warning: this is not yet another review. This is a "thank you" note in the form of a review. I reserved a table for my anniversary, without prior knowledge of what to expect. Sure, the photos did look nice, the restaurant's chef seemed promising... but lo and behold! The restaurant was cozy, having arm chairs that were comfortable for a quick drink but very supportive to be able to eat as well. The food was indeed very good, the wine that i chose [and the waiter agreed upon] was served in a timely manner and was in perfect temperature to enjoy. As for the room itself, spacious, sweet decorated, and with a view to remember. The bed and the linen were very good too. Finally, the staff were always helpful and went the extra mile. A point worth mentioning is that when I told the receptionist about the wonderful time we had in the restaurant, he smiled and after thanking us asked me "have you told the restaurant staff about this"? which made a very good impression on the work ethic that the team share. I trust that you will have a great time should you choose to visit, i for one am looking forward in returning there :)
The Marji is a very nice mid-size hotel with a great outdoor pool/patio for warm nights and a very pleasant restaurant. The service is terrific-nice people, very thoughtful and personal. The rooms are simple, smaller rooms with spartan, modern decor. Mine had a balcony overlooking the pool area. It is close to but not on the water. There is a gym with a basic machine and light barbells but be prepared to do a lot of bodyweight work. I have stayed there for business and will book the property again when I am next in Athens.
The minute you exit the taxi/car/limo, the service is on. The welcome and check in was the best I have ever experienced. The staff make this place amazing. The hotel has such a cool vibe about it. We stayed in an Executive Suite and it was beautifully appointed, very spacious, light and breezy. The balcony was huge with a view over the pool and to the ocean. The pool bar was great and the breakfast was nice but we did have dinner in one of the restaurants and we were very disappointed after the amazing reviews it had received. The food was average, small and overpriced. But it would not stop me returning to this hotel as it is amazing. Loved it and have fond memories of our time here.
The place is very fascinating but we were there for a Wedding Party. Staff was pleasant and the dining room looked very, very nice. The food was very tasty and we all enjoyed it. I found out there is a dining service at the spa and at the swimming pool.
We booked this space on spec for the last night of a two week trip to Greece - the Margi exceeded expectations in all ways. Exceptional service, great restaurants and drinks, lovely decor. A definite highlight.
Our 2nd visit to this wonderful hotel, it won't be our last....we adore it! The ambience is beautiful and the food superb. The service....to give you an idea of the level of attentiveness....my husband and I are cooling off in the pool and one of the hostesses sweetly wanders over and asks if we'd like our drinks topped up and brought over? Moments later our drinks are placed poolside and the delightful lady informs me that my glass is on the right, with 2 ice cubes and my husbands is on the left, with 1 ice cube....she'd remembered our preference for ice cubes, unbelievable! The staff, without exception, can not do enough for you. On our previous visit my husband and I booked an executive sea view room, which we found to be small but perfectly formed and completely adequate for a couple. On this occasion we were celebrating and our daughter accompanied us so, we took a large in take of breath, and treated ourselves to the premium suite....it was divine, incredibly spacious and the views every bit as good as the photos. Thank you, team Margi, for an outstanding stay and a truly memorable celebration for everyone in our party.
