Had a good time and enjoyed the view at breakfast on 6th floor

Great staff, very accommodating. Great view of the Acropolis and a short walk (literally 150 feet) to great shopping and cafes in kolonaki. Our stay was was complete with an accommodating and informative staff. Strongly recommend!!!

The hotel was acceptable, not as nice as in the photos but not bad either. The open air restaurant was great and made the stay there worthwhile. The hotel is up an incline too so if you don't have a car it might be a bit tiring to navigate. It's not that close to public transportation, but at least it's in a good neighborhood.

The staff was excellent, however this is far from a 5 star hotel. Rooms were dated. I am not one that usually complains about the comfort of the beds, but these were terrible. They were so hard that neither me or my husband slept at all. Internet is 6 Euro per hour or 18 for the whole day. More than I have ever been charged, and I travel around Europ a lot. The only free place for wi-fi was in the restaurant, which was kind of awkward. They did book a tour for us that was great. The location of the hotel is at the top of a pretty steep hill so if you are not into walking, this isn't the place for you. It was quite a hike to the Plaka. There was a taxi strike while we were there so we weren't able to utilize them.

First of all there was only free wifi at the pool, which was open 9am-9pm, and you had to pay in the room. The room was very nice and the bed was the most comfortable of all the other hotels I stayed in while in Greece. The pool on the rooftop was nice, but very small.

Very friendly staff. Smoking room was available- the best of all

This is a nice, upscale hotel located next to Lycabettus mountain, with spectacular views of the city. It is in an upscale "sleeping" quarters of the city, but only about 10 minute walk from the major square (Syntagma). It also has an excellent swimming pool on the rooftop. Views from the rooms are amazing. The service is also excellent. If you are looking for a quieter place to stay away from the buzz of Plaka (the main tourist neighborhood), then this is a great choice. However, if you want to be in the middle of touristy action, then you may want to stay in Plaka. Also, keep in mind that the internet charges and breakfast charges add up.

Pleasant neighborhood. Good location for museums, metro, restaurants. Nice view of the Parthenon. Staff was personable.

Excellent location in Kolonaki overlooking Acropolis. Front desk service was superb. 2 minute walk to Mount Lycabettus tram which takes you to the top of a hill with beautiful views of the whole city. Excellent restaurant at the top, but very expensive. It was nice to have taxis available at any time at the hotel. 5 star hotel in Europe is not that great. Room was too warm - A/C not on in April! Loud noise at 6:30AM in the courtyard right next to our room. Very loud...I think it may have been laundry day or something as they were rolling out carts. Liked that they gave you the taxi cab guidelines sheet.

Our hotel was very clean and comfortable. We had a perfect view of the Acropolis and all of Athens. The rooftop pool was excellent. Again, great view of the Acropolis and Athens, very clean and nice size pool Execellent location to lovely shops and restaurants and walking distance to all of Athens main attractions.

Location excelent. Everytime you ask something they charge you! The steam bath got closed for two days (no reasons). The only day we got there we had to leave in 15 m. The location is excelent. The hotel is very confortable, but the staff always in a bad mood!

The only negative we experienced was the fact that our room was not ready when we checked into the hotel. We had to wait over 2 hours.

Although the hotel has a high star rating, it truly is about a 2 1/2 at best. The decor is early 80s, with mirror tiles and a slightly disco air. I picked this hotel for one reason - the stunning view of the Acropolis from the rooftop pool. However, the pool closes at 6pm, so I was unable to see the sunset, or enjoy a drink as I had planned. The hotel is at the top of a staircase the leads to Sygmata Square - the hub of the city. Next time, I'll stay there. The staff didn't care about helping in any way. For example, there are no clocks in the rooms (although in the decription it says that there are). When I asked for one, I received blank stares. The tv's are antiquated and do not have CNN, and a cup of morning coffee will set you back $9. Its a poor value for the money, for a few dollars more I would have stayed in the Square.

I have been to Greece Many times and have heard of The St. George Lycavitos hotel from local greeks. I had to check it out and Glad I did. I got a great deal on the room since I booked through Orbitz by calling the hotel and speaking greek they asked for 200 euro , through orbitz i paid $144 usd ( a huge savings !) The room had an oversized bed but they reception was un able to find my reservation (thank goodness I printed out a extra copy in the office of St George) otherwise I am not sure I would have had a hotel to stay in. Other than that It was extreemly clean, great staff, Best Swimming pool view in athens. Bring snaks to avoid in room bar fee ! Great deal on the room
