What a little gem! As a family of 4, we had a room with 2 double beds. Space was tight in the room, but we had the most amazing balcony space! It was about the same size as the room, and it overlooked the acropolis! Such a great location. We walked everywhere in the downtown area, including to the acropolis. The staff were so kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a standard place to crash in Athens for a couple of nights!

It's a good deal for the price you pay, in such a convenient location. Only a few blocks from Syntagma square and major bus/metro hub. Close to most attractions.

The room was ok. I thought it was a little smaller than what I expected. I wish they could tell us "no breakfast during the winter season" on the website. Please note that there is no breakfast during off-season! The location is good, but very noisy at night since it's touristy place.

Staff were frendly and very helpful.

Great location, close to everything. it meet my needs

The things I liked about this hotel were the location, nice staff and cleanliness. The things I didn’t like were that our room was really small and the church bell ringing during the night.

The Metropolis is quite literally "in the middle of everything" for a very reasonable price. A terrific view of, and short walk to the Acropolis (and many other sites), steps from numerous shops and restaurants, and across the street from a beautiful church that does happen to chime every hour. There also does happen to be some night life very nearby that can run kind of late. The rooms are kind of small, but very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay there.

Great location. Super view. Only complaint was church bell that went off every hour, on the hour. Was a loud, not horrible.

I really love the place so much, beautiful views over looking the Acropolis and it walkable around to the shops and restaurants.

We had a wonderful time at the Hotel Metropolis. All of the staff were outstanding!! The showers are quite small for an adult person though. View from the roof terrace was fantastic. All important sites as well as restaurants are within easy walking distance. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed for three nights to experience Athens. It was a great location, 3 minutes walk from one Metro station, and 4 minutes walk from the other. The room we had for 3 of us was small, but clean with a nice little balcony.

We stayed here for the one night we were staying in Athens, with a full day of sightseeing when we knew we would not be in the room much then had to leave for the airport at 3am the next morning. When we first checked in I was very dissapointed and not happy with how old and cheap everything was in the room. However, ultimately it was ok since we really just slept for a few hours and had it as a place to keep our luggage while we explored the city. BEWARE of paying in advance! We payed for the stay on Orbitz, I even had my confirmation printed out. When we checked out at 3am the next morning the night attendant would not let us leave without paying him again! He literally would not unlock the door. We insisted we had already paid, but he did not know how to confirm this. We gave him our credit card number knowing we could get it straightened out later. Sure enough, the owner or manager of the hotel called us the next day and issued a refund for the second charge because they had indeed confirmed we paid through Orbitz. Good location, walking distance to all sights and the metro and buses.

The staff were wonderful and very helpful and friendly. I probably would have gone crazy if I stayed there more than 1 night though. The room is incredibly small and you have to leave the key with the lobby when you go out. The hotel lobby itself is extremely small and you have no privacy entering or exiting. You also have to walk up steps to get to the elevator. I stayed at another hotel a little further out that was extremely elegant for the same price (Athens Atrium). The location of this hotel is awesome however, right next to Syntagma subway stop. Also the staff make every attempt to be helpful to you, which is a rarety,

We stayed in a room with great views of the Acropolis. Facilities are a room and breakfast so pretty basic.

We had a view of the Acropolis from both our room window and the (small) private patio. How priceless to see this sight at night (it's lighted) and first thing in the morning - a priceless experience! Convenient, friendly, helpful staff and updated bathroom.
