ALERT before making reservation, call & make sure elevator is warking. The elevator went up to 2nd floor but was not possible to call it to 2nd floor. Choices were to use stairs or ask desk to send it to 2nd floor. Apparently the elevator had been out in excess of two months. This seems to me to be a safety risk & our 2 months is negligent. I asked when reserving for ground floor but did not get ground floor. Breakfast was not very good.

The elevator was not accessible for the 2nd floor to go down. Not a big deal but not fun either! I enjoyed my time in Athens for Homecoming and visit family and friends.

The AC in the room was quite loud that did not allow for restful sleep. Also, even though I know the hotel has no control on adjacent properties, but there was a loud cars doing donuts at 4 am.

We stayed two nights at the hotel, and it was a terrible experience. On the first night, some people who were installing mirrors in the rooms came into our bedroom without permission. Even though they heard us inside, they opened the door anyway. The following night, we noticed that the cleaning was done halfway and not a single towel was left. When I went downstairs to ask for towels, the lady on the night shift only gave me two, and when I asked for a third one, she got upset and told me how annoyed she was to give it to me. There was also a swamp cooler in the room that made an excessive amount of noise, making it hard to sleep at night. The elevator didn’t reach the second floor, the ice machines were not working, and the pool area was under renovation. Overall, a terrible experience — and it’s not even a cheap hotel.

The hotel was okay, the staff was the most pleasant part of the stay. The hotel is very worn and we had a room on the 2nd floor. They are having elevator issues and you can take the elevator up, but the elevator could not be called up to the 2nd floor. It was a pain to deal with. The room was extremely damp and apparently there were some issues with moisture within the hotel because there were fans setup in the mechanical rooms and stairways. The most disturbing thing about the stay is we had our door hanger turned to Do Not Disturb during the day when we left. When we returned that evening not only did house keeping come and switch out our towels, but maintenance had also been in our room and replaced the full length mirror while we were out. There wasn’t anything wrong with the mirror. We didn’t complain but that is shady and will not stay there again. The elevator has also been broken for three weeks.

Our family flew in to visit family and only needed the hotel for a place to sleep. When checking in the front desk woman insisted we be moved from the 3rd floor to the first due to us having children. I asked not to and she was persistent. The room she put us in was right next to the lounge and we were kept up all night by loud drunks and peoples voices. At 2 am the fire alarm randomly went off for 2 minutes in which they had no idea why. The next morning I requested we be moved to another room, in which they did.

We got the feeling it was an older building. The shower in our room only gave very hot water no matter where you turned the handle. No towels replacement, but we did notice that at other places if more than a one night stay.
