This is our go-to hotel in Athens. Back for a 3rd time staying here as it's always been nice. And it still is. Quiet, clean, bright, roomy rooms. Great choices for breakfast and of course the fabulous view from the seating area. Staff are always helpful. The neighbourhood has even more shops and restaurants now too I think. I'll probably visit again, hopefully soon.

My daughter booked our hotel several months before so I didn't know what to expect. The hotel gave her directions for the Metro from the airport, which stop to get off - Monasteraki station, and then walking from there. Easy to find but as someone else said, the graffiti and closed shops on the way were a bit worrying about that area at first impression but the hotel itself and its reception area was a nice contrast. The staff overall were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our twin room was basic but clean with TV, wifi and a room safe. The air conditioning worked just fine. I really enjoyed the fresh feta cheese, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, boiled eggs, cereal, rolls, meats, etc included in the buffet breakfast each morning on the 7th floor. Wonderful view of the Acropolis from the breakfast balcony. We had to leave really early one morning for our coach tour and the staff were so kind to make us a food packet to take since we told them we had to leave before breakfast. We were so grateful. Thank you! The hotel is convenient and centrally located. We walked to the Acropolis and to Syntagma Square. We bought fresh strawberries in the market square across from Monastiraki Station. We walked to the meeting points for our coach tours near Syntagma Square on two mornings (15-20 minutes walk). This was a clean, comfortable and friendly base for our short trip to Athens.

The Eprivides is a little gem in the Psiri neighbourhood - nice clean room with small balcony. The breakfast was great and served on the 7th floor with a beautiful view over Athens and the Acropolis. At night you can have a drink on the rooftop bar with again the Acropolis lit up in the background. Very friendly helpful staff. Loved the location in Psiri with all its galleries, cafe's and restaurants.

Quiet, comfortable rooms with TV and Wifi, nice roof terrace bar with a view of the Akropolis. Buffet breakfast. Wellness facilities. Two elevators. A safe and quiet haven in a sometimes rambunctious neighbourhood. The bars and restaurants of Psirri are just minutes away. Walking distance to Monastiraki and Syntagma.

The staff and the infrastructure are great. I had some problems while in Athens (lost my phone, needed to buy a diving suit) and the staff helped immensely. The neighborhood is a little shady at first glance, with a lot of closed shops, but it's a short walk away from restaurants and local commerce, and I had no negative incidents. A pleasant stay for a very fair price.

The Evripides is embedded within Athens' Psyrri neighborhood, down the street from the market district (legendary spice and sausage shops; endless discount shoe stores) and a few minutes from the lively Monastiraki restaurant/nightlife district/Metro station. Rooms are smallish but well-furnished with TV, free wifi, and tiny balconies, some with Acropolis views. The friendly staff makes a point of remembering your name and room number, and the free un-continental breakfast puts the free breakfasts served by U.S. budget chains to shame. Breakfast is served in a 7th-floor room with a terrace a Parthenon view that turns into a €2 ouzo bar between 6 p.m. and midnight. The Evripides is a fantastic bargain, and if you book your room on their website you get a discount rate and remission of service charges.

Evripedes is a VERY good choice to a reasonable price. The neighborhood - Psirri - is a multicultural with small tavernas and cafes all over. The hotel is also close to the airport metro just some 10 minutes walk from Monistiraki station. There is a superb roof terrace where you can enjoy a drink in the evenings - it's even better than the pictures. Nice staff who you can ask about the neighborhood - good breakfast and I got a room with my own terrace.

We've been there for the Easter time this year. The hotel is small but our room was large and very clean. The stuff is very friendly and attentive to the guests wishes. Their explenations about the city are very useful and they do not hurry when they explain something to you. The feeling regarding the stuff is the same like in a 5* hotel but the atmosphere is more relaxed and comfortable. The breakfast is also great. They have a lot of feta cheese, olives and tomatoes, just for you to feel the spirit of the greek cuisine. These foods are essential for me at breakfast. If they are your favorites too, this is your place. But the most important things in order to choose Evripides Hotel are the terrace and the panoramic view to the Athens and especially to the Acropolis. Evripides Hotel was a nice surprise, even if I did not expect it at the beginning, when we made the reservation.

I recommend this hotel for two reasons. First, it is near city centre, 6-7 minutes on foot to Monastiraki. Secondly, it is cheap, affordable even for the student. There are negative comments about breakfast, but breakfast was suprisingly good. Restaurant is situated at 7th floor with beautiful view on Athens. Room is ok, nothing special, but spacious. You can arrive to the hotel by metro. One way ticket is 10 EUR, if you buy return it is 18 EUR. If you use taxi it is 38 Eur fix price. Hotel organize also taxy service for 42 EUr, but there is no need for that. There are hundreds taxi drivers in Athens. In the end, i recommend this hotel. Location is great, and I can say it is cheap, specially if you book a room for two or more person.

We were fortunate to be in a good location on this trip. The terrace on top of the hotel affords a view of acropolis. From the hotel it is only a twenty minute walk to Acropolis. Ten minute walk to shopping and an assortment of eating choices. This is not a luxury hotel so don't stay here if that is what you desire. If you want a comfortable and clean room, a friendly staff and good location then this is your place.
