Close to lots of restaurants and you'll see some beautiful street art on the way. Very close to the markets (meat, vegetable and spice markets). The service is really good and the hotel is very clean. The room had some small annoyances, like the door scraping on the floor and the bed constantly shifting away from the wall. I did not enjoy the breakfast, the variety and quality was much lower than I expected for the price. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and the excellent service made it a 4 star experience rather than 3.
I stayed here coming to Greece and also leaving Greece with a little island hopping in the middle. The people that work here are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included. It is quite a typical European Greek breakfast. The super nice thing is that since I think it is family run, I told them that we had an early checkout just to give them a heads up and they made breakfast to-go bags for my wife and I that morning. It was so nice of them. I was not expecting that. The rooms are clean. The shapes of the room very depending on the room since this is in an old building. The top floor breakfast nook and rooftop have some of the best views of the Acropolis in the city. The wifi was good. I don't recall it being terrible or super amazing. The location is quite close to the center of town for tourist. It takes only 5-10 minutes walk to get to the square. The neighborhood to get to town can be a bit sketchy, but then all of Athens in a bit sketchy. I would not worry though. I stayed here on two different occasions and would recommend this for others. Great location and good price.
Spotlessly clean rooms. Friendly welcome on arrival with good information of places to eat etc. Location is ideal for sightseeing and walking distance from the port and monastriaki square. We had a fantastic view of the acropolis from our room which was quite spectacular in the evening when lit up. Good breakfast. Ok, so the area isn't the best in Athens but we had no issues and it is no different to any large city in that you have to be aware. We will look forward to returning again this year. Would definitely recommend for a great value for money hotel.
this hotel is located just a short walk from monastriaki square ,in an area that is a little run down but we had no issues staying there.the hotel itself is clean comfortable ,the staff are all very helpful .there is a rooftop terrace with lovely views to the acropolis and the sea.the breakfast is of a good standard (if you have an early flight they will do you a pack up )and also has great views of the acropolis and the city, the breakfast room doubles for a bar in the evenings.the lady on reception was especially helpful and friendly.all in all we could not fault this hotel.
Staff are welcoming at Evripides, the rooms are clean, functional and keep in a good condition. The hotel view of the acropolis is fantastic from the breakfast room in the morning to the roof terrace at night. We enjoyed our stay and found the surrounding area of the hotel abundant with great places to eat - much better than the generic restaurants in the main areas. It is just a 10 minute walk from the main tourist attractions and also well situated for all metro lines.
Everything was wonderful: Our room, breakfast and view to the Acropolis. Even in the absence of a dedicated car park, we received a place for our car in front of the hotel entrance. The reception was open 24 hours a day and this fact gave us security. We paid little bit more for a room with view to the Acropolis, but we had one minus, that in the morning the noise of moving the chairs in the breakfast room. The hotel is located in an area of abandoned houses or partially deserted. Many of the buildings around are old and painted with graffiti. But proximity to the Acropolis compensates for the region's negatives. We would come back in this hotel again! :) :)
This hotel is located right amongst the heart of the restaurants and funky shops with views of the acropolis. Breakfast is basic and all you need to get going for the day. Views of the acropolis are plentiful and we enjoyed it immensely. The beds are a bit hard and we had to put the blanket under the sheet to make it a bit softer, decor is clean and has been updated, overall I would recommend it and would stay here again.
Very basic, but what they do they do well. One of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in, the staff are all welcoming, friendly and helpful. The area isn't the best but this is reflected in the price. Lots of graffiti etc but we never felt threatened in any way. 10 min walk to Monastiriki Square which is the hub of Psiri. This is where you can get the train, the tour buses, find the market, shopping etc. We stayed for 10 days and had a great time.
We stayed in Athens twice on this trip and booked this hotel as it was near the other one we stayed at that was in a great area. But as with most parts of Athens, you walk 5 minutes and suddenly you feel unsafe. As two young females, we've never hurried to a hotel faster because of the strange people on the streets. If you're not in a group, I wouldn't recommend walking here. The hotel was good and clean. Breakfast was offered and if you tell them you're checking out before breakfast they give you a little pack of food. The walls are paper thin though. We could hear people rolling suitcases down the hall way, our drunken neighbours arriving home, our neighbours using the toilet and even rolling over in bed. If you're a light sleeper, this place is not for you.
We spent three nights at this hotel last week and found it to be an ideal base for visiting Athens. There's a direct line from the airport to Monastiraki metro station and it takes about 45 minutes. Note that there are usually only two of these airport metro trains per hour. The easiest way when you first arrive is to take the Athenas exit from the metro, turn left when you come out onto the street and then keep walking up the street for a few minutes until you come to Evripidou Street, always on the left. Walk down that street and you'll find the hotel towards the bottom on the left. The street itself doesn't look very inviting but you're in the centre of Athens, close to everything, and we didn't have any problems. Once you've settled in, you quickly learn that if you turn left out of the hotel, left again , second right and then first left, you come to a very nice area with lots of typical Greek restaurants and shops. We got very good advice from reception and ate well for a modest price. The room was fine and breakfast was tasty. All the hotel staff were very friendly and good at their jobs. The price of the rooms and of drinks at the hotel bar were very reasonable and I would be very happy to return to this hotel for another short break in Athens. Thank you.
