This hotel had many great attributes but the highlight was its great view from the breakfast room to the Acropolis and roof top lounge area. In addition to the view the the other good things about this hotel are its staff, it is very clean. and it located near a Metro stop. There are a lot of good places to eat nearby as well as services for guests and local tourist attractions are a short walk from the hotel. The area may seem intimidating to some but I had absolutely no problems coming and going to the hotel at all times of the day. The staff were excellent. I particularly had great advice and service from Sara and Mihalis. I would stay again and will recommend this hotel to my friends.

This hotel was great value. Very central location with lots of shops, restaurants and bars near by. Don't be too put off by the neighbourhood it was a little scary at first but totally fine. The hotel offers a really good breakfast and the views are great. The room was a good size the only problem was the air conditioning as it was way too hot during the night and it seemed to just blow around hot air however would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a value for money stay.

Friendly and efficient staff. Great breakfast included and magnificent view of the Acropolis from the dining room. Room was clean, simple and comfortable. The neighbourhood is covered by graffiti and a few people hanging out in the streets. Just around the corner, there are amazing lanes and little bars and restaurants. I was able to walk to all the main sights around Athens from here. Glad I stayed and would stay again.

We stayed for three nights in this hotel. The best part is probably the location. It is easy to explore many parts of the city by foots. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The room was pretty ok in size but the bathroom was quite smelly. The room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was nothing special and the breakfast area was arranged in away that it was quite tricky to try to collect different things especially if there were other people around the "buffet". The roof top terrace was so nice and it was really relaxing to sit there. There were two things which put us quite off. One evening we came from the city and the lady in front desk handed the key to us. When we were in the elevator, we noticed that we got a key to a WRONG ROOM. I completely understand that everyone makes mistakes but this was a pretty scary one. Especially when there is a safety box key attached to the room key. The other was that when we were checking out, there was a 4 euro extra labeled as "BAR", even though we always payed with cash. As we left so early there was not change to solve this at front desk but I contacted the hotel afterwards and it was an error and they solved it smoothly. And it wasn´t that much about the amount but the principle. It is never that nice to have to spend time to solve problems as a customers.

This is a clean but basic little hotel that offers excellent value for money given its central location. The highlight is the roof terrace from which to have a spectacular view of the Acropolis. Recommeded.

This is good, basic hotel in a convenient location - just a short walk from the Acropolis with plenty of restaurants and bars in easy reach. The area looks pretty rough with all the graffiti (some of it’s worth a look, though) but we were two female travellers and had no problems at all. Our room was a decent size and clean and quiet. Another plus was sitting in the hotel bar in the evening with its fantastic view up to the Parthenon. Stunning. The only downside was the faint drain smell from the bathroom. Overall - safe, quiet and good value for money.

We loved Evripides for many reasons especially for the family and lovely staff. Incredibly friendly and helpful and full of laughs. The room itself was huge with the very wide opening French doors to a big balcony with beach view. Big comfortable bed and lovely linen. Bathroom roomy and well equipped. We recommend Evripides very highly.

First, it located in rough neighborhood (I had my jaw drop moment) but It's clean budget hotel with free wi-fi, working aircon and bonus of great view of Acropolis from cafe/breakfast area at 7th floor and friendly staff. It's walk away from all Athens high light, but we do taxi mostly due to the neighborhood and heat. Breakfast are ok.

Excellent location. Very comfortable beds and room. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The view of the Acropolis and city were stunning from the roof terrace. Very close to Plaka so plenty of nightlife nearby. Lots of restaurants and short walk away. I would highly recommend this hotel and will let stay here again

I requested budget accommodation close to the main tourist attractions in Athens and my travel agent booked Hotel Evripides in the neighborhood of Psiri. From outside it doesn't look like much but inside it is really nice. It's basic accommodation but clean and comfortable which is what's important. Breakfast is included which is really a bonus. The greatest thing about this little gem is that it is literally a 10min walk from EVERYTHING, Plaka/Acropolis/Monastiraki. Honestly the neighborhood does look a bit dodgy, but a short distance away, your turn a corner and a few more steps and it's like you in a different place. Just always be vigilant and you'll be fine.
