During my last stay in Athens, I had booked a 7-night stay at their sister hotel but was relocated to this hotel for the first night. Hotel is very old looking. It was clean, staff was very nice, polite and helpful. However, hotel is for a business clientele and groups. On the night I stayed there, there was a group from a school trip that I could easily hear late in the hallways that evening. Fortunately, I experienced worse in my travels and was also very tired because of an extra long flight to Athens. Got the smallest room on the floor (see floor plan in pictures). Clean, comfortable bed, but with no view and the smallest shower I've ever seen. Shower did not even have a curtain to keep the water from splashing everywhere. Location is for me the main issue. If you go north and West, it is somehow ok. But if you go south to walk to the Plaka for instance, you will need to cross a very sketchy area (see pictures). I walked around by night and was not feeling safe at all. If you have a family, I would definitely recommend you take a cab. That was definitely not the type of hotel and location I had in mind for my first night in Athens this September. Although it may fit for some travelers, it is definitely not a location I would book for myself.
My wife and I really enjoyed our 3 night stay in this hotel. It is very close to metro, but you can also walk to the main square (Syntagma) in about 20 mins if you like walking. There is a super nice bakery right next to the hotel as well :). You won˙t get much of a view from it, but it is clean and quiet. Breakfast is nice and fresh and the wifi is good. The only thing missing (if you are a fitness person) is some sort of a gym. We would definitely stay there again.
The beds are comfy, the wifi is good, the location is great it is close to a metro and to a pastry shop! I believe the highlight of this resort is the view from the rooftop garden. From there, you can see the Acropolis. It is even better at night! You can have drinks here and food. The staff here are friendly too! I also love their breakfast. Highly recommend this place.
Very nice hotel. It was clean, AC worked perfectly, the view of the Parthenon from the rooftop is truly amazing, the location is really good too, it is in the city center in the middle of everything. There is a bakery right under the hotel open 24 hours. we took an uber from the airport to the hotel it was 29 euro. and a taxi from the hotel to Piraeus port for 12 euro
Convenient location- close to metro, taxi stand etc. Staff is incredibly polite and helpful. Very nice rooftop restaurant with a view of the Acropolis in the distance. Nice breakfast. In room fridge. Rooms a bit small- and the shower is awkward- but this is an excellent value! Lobby and lounge areas are up to date- hallways and rooms on ly a bit dated- but it didn't bother me at all. This is a well maintained hotel. I would definetly stay here again
Best about this hotel is its rooftop bar and restaurant with a view of the Acropolis. Staff is extremely friendly and service minded. Rooms are small, but hey, who wants to stay in his hotel room in a town like Athens?
Wagalis was the name of our server. He was quiye friendly and made us feel very comfortable. He suggested us some unique drinks and food. Overall good experience. I will not rate the view so much as the area did not seem to have a pleasant scenario
This city hotel is the most appropriate to stay while your visit to Athens. The location is very central, you can visit all the historical exhibits. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, every time I've been in this hotel I feel like home. Staff is very helpful and polite.
I booked this hotel due to the location and Safety box availability in room. Positive : The Hotel is few steps away from the metro, the staff honored my request for an early check in since i want to leave in the same day in the late evening. The receptionist was helpful and provided to me the room early morning with possibility to take breakfast upon arrival.. Negative : Safety box was not functional and they couldnt fix it, the room decoration and furniture is tooooo old and need touch up especially removing the stain under the in room phone and changing the in room directory, its toooo dirty, no tissue in room, only WC toilette paper, as well as no duvet, just a bed sheet ... Dont expect a luxurious rooms from a budget hotel...
The hotel is well placed for seeing the sights. It is a 20 minute walk to the Acropolis, but there is a metro stop round the corner with 3 stops to syntagma square, where there are lots of modern shops leading to Plaka, a lovely area for buying souvenirs, and the Acropolis. The metro is cheap - 1.40 for an adult, 60c for an under 18. The tickets last for 90 minutes. The hotel is clean and the facilities are great. There is a bar in the foyer selling drinks and food and a rooftop bar with a view of the Acropolis, though this is closed in winter. Each room is en-suite and, if you're lucky, some have views of the Acropolis (6th floor at the front, although there is a lot of traffic on that side of the hotel). Breakfast is served in the restaurant and it has everything you would want - pastries, toast, fruit, Greek yoghurt, sausage, egg, bacon, cereals, coffee, juice...The dinners were also good, though if you are a couple or family it might be better to go out to experience more authentic Greek food. The staff were all superb - so friendly and accommodating! There is also a bakery next door which sells the most amazing cakes, bread, sandwiches, hot food, ice-cream and coffee - perfect if you want to buy your packed lunch for the day. A sandwich was typically 2.90. The coffee was delicious (1.10 for an Americano) and you could sit at one of the tables outside. I was here on a school trip and I would definitely bring my family here next time we visit Athens.
