The location of the hotel was perfect in the central Athens which was not that far from a cab to the major sites and shopping. There are nice cafes around the hotel for a nice/inexpensive meal. The rooms are so clean and spacious, we even had a balcony but kept it shut as it was really hot. Breakfast buffet was the best so far I have had, there was so much variety bakery, fruits, juices etc. The only annoying part was (which wasn't a big deal) that we waited to check in for the longest time, but the guy at the reception was apologetic about it. Overall a very good hotel. The restaurant of the hotel also has amazing food!
We stayed at this hotel as it was packaged with a flight by Expedia on the basis of its TripAdvisor reviews. Overall it is good, although on the outskirts of Athens if you're exploring you need to either commute by bus (about 20 minutes +) or taxi ride which is about €8 to the city centre /Parliament Square or less to the Acropolis. There is also a train which we didn't take. Rooms are a good size and little old and in need of some restoration. Overall we were comfortable. Breakfast is ok and service excellent. There are quite a few restaurants in walking distance and a food court across the square which is cheap and open late.
We arrived a bit early but the receptionist was very kind and after a few minutes allowed us early check in and with kids this really helped. Very friendly at check-in no hassle gave us good directions and advice. the room was huge very comfy beds clean. Aircon was working. breakfast was good and freshly prepared people serving were very helpful and kind. My kids enjoyed the Jacuzzi bathroom is huge and the toiletries are fabulous. Nice hotel when travelling with kids. The hotel is not directly near the main attractions such as the Acropolis, but this is what makes it more affordable and it's only a 5 minute drive from Acropolis area. We highly recommended this hotel for the price.5 mins drive to Plaka.
Traveling with our 5 children, we needed a nice but affordable hotel in Athens. He hotel was perfect for our needs and we got two rooms. Very nice hotel and the man at the front desk spoke English and was very nice. Breakfast was free and had an excellent variety with something for everyone. Just remember that the key card needs to be in the slot on the wall in order for the lights and AC to work. I stayed here on 2 occassions. It was perfect on both times. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast wonderful. Location excellent, located within walking distance of the Acropolis. Charming little restaurants nearby. Downside was TV had no English channels.
Hotel and rooms are nice. Not much of a view though. Hotel staff was very courteous and prompt in any requests. Hotel is about 5-10 mins cab ride from main attractions ( approx. 7 to 10 Euros per ride). This hotel has a very unique elevator ..fits 2 persons at a time....minor inconvenience. Breakfast buffet could be better.
This hotel is ok. It's old and rooms are old, but the hotel premises and rooms were clean. Hotel is located like in a neighborhood area, so pictures here in Trip Advisor give the impression that is located like in a downtown area, but is not. Service was good and hotel is close to Plaka and the Acropolis. All main areas were like 5 minutes using Uber from this hotel. Finally, if your room is in the second building, you will need to walk through the restaurant to go to the elevator, which could be a little awkward if there are couples or groups having dinner. Good place to stay if you are not looking for a super luxury hotel.
The access to the second hotel building was through the restaurant. The elevator didn't work for some hours. Friendly personnel. Also some numbers at the elevator didn't correspond with the floors and it was rather confusing.
Good things: - it is in very good shape, opened in August 2015 - quite big rooms and bathrooms - comprehensive and good quality breakfast - welcome drink - very good price/ratio quality - interior rooms are v quiet Not that good: - the area is horrible, but there is metro 5' walk away and the hotel is just 10' car drive from syntagma sq. not that bad positioned at the end!
This hotel is a hideaway from the main busy street. This hotel is gorgeous. I dropped my bags off to run back into my cab for a tour. The hotel person was very helpful and friendly and took care of my bags. He even gave me a card with the hotel information just in case I need to catch a cab back to the hotel. The card came in handy to catch a cab and the driver to know where to go. The bar staff was very friendly and I tried some sweet Greek wine for the first time. The room was a great size and the bathroom was huge. The bed was really comfy. The lobby was very clean and beautiful. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
