Warm reception. Easy check in. We enjoyed the simplicity of the rooms and the proximity to the beach. Delicious breakfast. The only downside was the parking: hard to find, especially during the day when many come to the area for a swim. Lots of local tavernas to visit for dinner.
We stayed 5 nights and each day the room was very clean and tidy. There were plenty of power outlets for recharging electronic devices. The air conditioner was very effective and the room was bright. We had lovely views of the beach from our balcony. Staff were welcoming and helpful. There was a lot of food choices for breakfast and coffee was excellent. The beach and taverns were a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Overall our stay here was excellent.
This hotel is really good if you wish to stay close to the beach in Athens and not willing to spend a lot as you are not planning to stay in the hotel for any reason other than sleeping. Rooms are a bit tight but very clean and convenient. Breakfast was really delicious and rich; various options ranging from healthy dishes to omelets, cakes, fruits, etc. Room service and all day dining restaurant are very good and the food is superb. I would recommend renting a car if you are staying at this hotel as it is pretty far from the city center.
If you want to be closed to the airport but still by the beach and have beautiful sunset ..this is a good option... of course you have to take sea view.. Breakfast is great.. people are nice.. and you are not far from the haertt of Vouliagmeni if you want to go to more touristic beaches..
Warm reception and your gracious hospitality. Without your advice and constant attention to detail,we would not have enjoyed our stay at Amarilia Hotel. The breakfast was simply amazing. Rooms always clean and tidy.
It was a great experience, the view was amazing, room was very clean and tidy, receptionist were very professional and helpful with any concern. The food in the restaurant was great, room service a little bit slow.
We were here for a wedding, so didn't choose it ourselves. It was full of pros/cons as below: PROS 1. Value - Around 100 Euros/night in peak season (mid-August), which wasn't super cheap but it was the best value around 2. Location - only 3 minutes from the sea front and loads of cafes and restaurants and beach loungers/sun bed 3. Free breakfast - big and decent 4. Balconies - each room has one 5. Clean CONS 1. Noise- walls are paper thin 2. Bedding - very sparse and itchy! 3. Service - staff went out of their way to be unhelpful, e.g. refusing to bring an iron to the room, often not answering the phone, etc 4. Pool - it'a pretty basic and not very nice In short, basic and somewhat overpriced rooms but that's Greece in August!!
If you are a business traveller expecting top notch decor than this is not the hotel for you. Maybe business travellers are spoilt? The hotel is in a nice area but to get to the main shops in Vouliagmeni or Voula you have to get a taxi of use uber, both of which are easy. Due to the heat and / or if you have young children I would not walk. If you want things close to hand find an hotel in the heart of Vouliagme ni or Voula. Please note that the tram that goes into Athens stops at Voula. Uber is very easy in the Athens Riviera. The hotel does not have a proper restaurant but there are 2 to 3 nearby which are a bit pricey due to the location but as I say you can cab into Voula, Vouliagmeni and Glyfada easily. You can get simple meals / snacks at the bar. There is a swimming pool in the courtyard which has tables, chairs and parasol, you can also access the bar from the pool. Pool does the job although the pool seemed to have quite a lot of chlorine. Breakfast was nice, plenty to choose from. On the whole the staff were friendly and helpful. In summary, hotel decor looked tired in places, average price for the area, food was decent (had a number of club sandwiches in addition to the breakfasts), staff on the whole friendly and helpful. Apart from location I would go back to this hotel however I Would probably prefer to stay in Voula as that is where the tram ends.
The best decision booking made. The front desk customer service in the lobby area re awesome, friendly, ready to help and bilingual. Speak English fluently. Everything looks exactly like website pictures. Room clean and have great cleaning services crew. I recommend take the breakfast option open Daly 7 am to 10 am. Breakfast absolutely great with all different types of breakfast with great waitress assistant. Bar area next to lobby always ready with a a large types of drink. Great ocean view and block away of the beautiful beach. To get umbrella and recline paid £ 4.00 each person. The customer service on AMARILIA HOTEL make my FAMILY feel great. Also a block away of large variety of restaurants where you can spend from £ 15.00 up to £ 40.00 each. Great food. Taxi to downtown around £ 15.00. Amarilia Hotel is a great value booking. My Family want to be back at the Amarilia Hotel. Nestor and Patty Guardia
Book it! this hotel is clean and friendly. Everyone at the front desk spoke english and were eager to help. Included a breakfast from 7am-to 10am with tons of choices and very filling. Rooms were cleaned very well on a daily basis. Location was great close to many restaurants- highly recommend Garbi!! Walking distance to public beach Kavouri which was decent. Highly recommend:-)
