I chose the hotel for the proximity to my clients office but upon arrival I learnt that I was moved to the sister hotel nearby. Frankly speaking the sister hotel was bigger and better. Athens Key is quite a small hotel , and not really suitable as a business hotel , since my colleagues stayed there I had the chance to experience. The business center of the hotel is like a joke. Otherwise it’s a good hotel.

The staff were wonderful. Our room had been recently renovated snd the bed was very comfortable . The hotel is in walking dto many restaurants and sights but it is on a busy street and the noise of the traffic disturbed our sleep

Staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean. It's not in the nicest part of Athens but it's easy to walk around and visit the city.

Athens Key hotel

Fairly standard hotel. Clean and functional. The hotel was a lot further out from the centre of town than my impression from Hotels.com and took around 30 minutes to walk to the Acropolis. Our room was a city view, but most of what you could see was an old 1960’s office block directly across the street - not the city. Little in the area directly around the hotel to explore.

Very loud. Show was small and broken. Restaurant took three hours for a small lunch. Very expensive for what you receive. Not worth the money or would recommend.

Hotel room was very dusty. The shower had a musty smell. If you are staying for work, the walls are very thin and you will hear EVERYTHING. I stayed for 5 nights, the room next to me had incredibly loud guests all nights. I had early mornings each day, and when i called down to the front desk they told me they couldn't do anything until after 11:30PM. The last two nights there was a literal bus loads of children staying in the hotel and it was so loud until late, and loud starting very early in the morning. The hotel staff was nice. But it wasn't a restful stay.

I'd recommend for city travellers wanting to stay local. The hotel is well located, modeen and was very clean. My room was very nice (upgraded on arrival) The staff were also very helpful in giving me recommendations and looking after my luggage behind the desk when needed Breakfast included- good view of the city Overall good condition. Also people say the centre near the swuare can be a bit of a 'dodgier' area to stay. I had no issues whilst I was out at night and staff were reassuring (I travelled solo) Lots of hotels are in this area so usual city common sense applies I had a really enjoyable stay and will be back

Disappointment

I was informed that I had been upgraded (though I did not request an upgrade), but the room I received was small and has an unpleasant smell. I understood that this is a five-star hotel, but based on my experience, it does not meet the standards typically associated with that rating. I am unsure who evaluates this ranking, but it does not reflect a five-star experience.
