It was a beautiful island facility but our first day of our stay was very bad. Front desk check-in was bad about not having records of my payment, the restaurant served me pink chicken for lunch, a sofa bed for two teenagers was a sheet on the sofa (not a sofa bed) but just a sheet on the sofa with no pillow or blanket. I was told by house keeping that if I wanted a roll-away bed that I had to pay for it even though my reservation was for 4. We wanted to leave after the first day and probably would have if I hadn't paid for all 4 days. The next three days were better so maybe it is a lack of training as some folks went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable but unfortunately we wouldn't recommend this place or stay there again.
First I need to stress that EGYPT IS SAFE AND AMAZING!! The people here are so friendly and welcoming. Please come and visit Egypt. Don't believe the western media there's absolutely nothing to be afraid of. This hotel is in the middle of Elephantine Island which is the largest island in the middle of the Nile River and in order to reach it you have to ride a ferry. From the moment that we stepped off of the ferry and was driven by the golf cart to the hotel lobby I was thoroughly impressed. The staff made everything so incredibly easy. They gave us a welcome drink and escorted us to our room. Our view was of the beautiful hotel pool. The hotel was recently built so everything was new. The bathroom had a soaking tub and the bathroom amenities included shampoo conditioner a shower cap bar soap and shower gel a book of matches and a sewing kit. We ate at the tower restaurant with amazing 360 degrees view of the city and also the West Bank of the Nile in which was the Nubian Kings tombs were located. At night the tombs are beautifully lit up. It was amazing. The only thing that I would change about my stay was that I wished I stayed longer.
From the moment that you step in Aswan and you can recognise this hotel from a distance you can see it from anywhere across the Nile this is by far one of the best hotels in the city the restaurants there are really good I spent new years eve there and I really enjoyed my time.
I enjoyed a lot by everything location of the resort, the view from my room and hospitality from each person starting from security, front office and room service . I will recommend Mövenpick Aswan to all my friends.
Amazing facilities and views. Comfortable bedding. Clean bathroom, great shower pressure. Very peaceful and beautiful. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely nothing to critique. Highly recommend for all types of travelers.
Spent 2 weeks travelling solo in Egypt and this was the best hotel I stayed at. I would recommend this facility to all and apart from food that was not quite up to what I would have expected this stay was perfect
Very nice place and location in the middle of the Nile but very bad survice so i can not recommend this place for people who want a very nice survice . I recommend their pool which is large with variable depths
You will never find an amazing and an affordable place in aswan like this place The magnificent view of the Nile with hotel in it's middle will let you forget all your problems, also nearby are very cheap souvenir markets and super markets Amazing stuff and amazing nobians are always everywhere
We checked-in in the new extension. Much better premises and amenities. Take any room in the higher floors that is overlooking the botanic gardens and the swimming pool and you will have a blast. The rooms are great, the room service is fast and friendly. The house keeping is slow and not consistent. The pool is heated and the pool bar is great. The main restaurant in the ground floor serves an open buffet for breakfast and dinner. The food is international cuisine with some oriental choices and it is really tasty. You should ask the waiter for Nubian dishes. The rates are moderate and we really took value for our money. You only need to take the hotel ferry from/to the hotel because it is on an island which sometimes can take time but the ride is great on this part of the Nile river. Sums up big time. wifi is slow and coverage is limited.
