The room was icy cold. I don't think the heater was working. The bed was smelly. The food was bad. The only positive was Ahmed who arranged our transportation back and forth between airport smoothly.

The room, the bed, a disaster. You can feel all the springs. It's a mattress that's been used for I don't know how many years, 10, 15 years. Everything is very old and poorly maintained. It was the worst I've ever experienced. I thought that Hotels.com checked the quality and condition of each hotel, but now I see that I have to distrust Hotels.com as well

The staff weee super friendly, you can tell they are proud and take pride in this place. We stayed for 2 nights and it was perfect for the time being. The beds and pillows aren’t the comfiest but we made due. Very peaceful along the Nile River, but don’t forget bug spray during the night.

Horrible, dirty rooms. The shower (if you can even call it a shower) was broken, leaky, and dirty, and to top it all off, there were ticks in the bed. They moved me to another room because the place was so inhospitable that there was no way I could leave late to another hotel. The worst experience I've had since I started traveling. Very sad.No recommend never ever

The shuttle is really convenient because it is far away from the airport. It is a tiny place, nothing fancy or luxurious. The people are super kind and helpful. The restaurant near the Nile is beautiful, and the food is so tasty. If you like to disconnect from everything with no pretension, this is the place. It needs a bit of maintenance, but it is a comfortable place.

I found a salamander in my bathroom. The bathroom is up the stairs, so I slipped and fell getting out of the shower. The toilet is in the shower (somewhat common in lesser Egyptian hotels). The breakfast smoothie gave me traveler's diarrhea. Nice Nile view doesn't outweigh these negatives. Pay more and stay somewhere nicer.

I had a very unpleasant experience at Fenti Nubian Resort in Aswan. The property was not at all as advertised—photos online are highly misleading. The bathroom lacked ventilation, with dirty walls and floors, and I was disturbed to find bloodstains on the shower curtain. The mattress was stained with what appeared to be paint, and both the mattress and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The location was also problematic. Loud barking from stray dogs continued through the night, along with noise from a nearby mosque and loud music from the on-site restaurant. Sleep was nearly impossible. Service was poor and unprofessional. There was no staff at the front desk from 11 PM to 9 AM, and most of the team spoke only Arabic, with the exception of the receptionist. Hygiene standards were very low—staff appeared unclean and had a noticeable odor. There was no phone in the room, so any request had to be made in person at the reception. Despite all these issues, the resort refused to refund my remaining three nights, which I had booked through Expedia. Unfortunately, Expedia was also unhelpful in resolving the matter. — feeling disappointed.

Did not realize prior to arriving that the property was so distant...most transportation charged a minimum of $10each way to and from the east bank and taken the ferry involved serious negotiations to be taken to other Nubian villages or island...I was able to navegate these situations but I wish you all the best of luck...

CLARIFICATION: We arrived in to Fenti Nubian Resort in the morning on May 1, after been picked up on time by it’s hotel shuttle on our arrival, thanks. Then, once in the hotel, our plans changed and we had to move away to Aswan city, using their shuttle again, thanks. We NEVER did check-in in the Fenti Nubian because we had to leave about 10:30AM, no check-in time yet. Therefore, we neither did not make a check-out. I talked to the manager Sarah and let her know to consider our reservation like a NO SHOW, and receive the payment from Expedia for a no show situation, because was our fault to leave and change plan. The attention from her and the staff was excellent, and the hotel conditions were very good. It was simply a change of plan from us, no hotel’s fault. Again, we never were officially like guests at the Fenti Nubian Hotel. And again, we can suggest this hotel for whoever interested into pass a good time in Aswan.
