The location was very easy to walk around Assisi. We arrived by train and took the 10 minute bus ride up the hill. We had lovely meals overlooking beautiful vistas at La Terrazze di Properzio- the wild boar stew was delicious, as was the pizza at Il Posta Ristorante. I bought my souvenirs in Assisi shops because I did not see many religious items that were unique to Italy in other cities. Portica Sette has a large supply of wax stampers for my Harry Potter kids. The unit does not have a window to open so we left the door open for a bit while chatting in the front room. The street is quiet and we felt very safe. The water pressure in the shower is very good. Familiarize yourself with European cook tops for your espresso. There is not a TV as advertised but we did not miss it. Walking around the streets at night is magical.
