Venus Premier Hotel

Nice hotel steps from waterfront and ferries.

This hotel turned out to be perfect for our transition from Dar es Salaam on to Zanzibar. It is just steps from the ferry terminal. The room was clean, pleasant, air-conditioned, and comfortable. We got a good meal in the hotel restaurant and it was a nice place from which to venture on a walk through this part of the city. The hotel arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport. Hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating.

Kia Lodge

Close to the airport

Good hotel close to the airport with a 24 hour shuttle. Good dinner and they packed a breakfast for our early morning flight. Swimming pool not large and had something swimming under water. Views of Kilimanjaro from the pol area are wonderful. Little noise from the airport.

Arusha Backpackers Hotel - Hostel

Backpackers Hostel

Staff was very nice and polite. Hostel close to roads so it was noisy and hard to sleep at night. Room was super cozy, had a hole in the wall and could use a paint job but overall clean. Internet spotty, usually no wifi during the day for the three days I was there but was always on at night and the majority of the mornings unless the power was out. For a price of 8$/day with a free breakfast it was a good deal. Not luxurious but got the job done.
