Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

I stayed here with my two year old and our husband. My parents stayed in another room. Our room was right next to the bar and pool area. The beach was a quick walk across the street. I have seen a few reviews in regards to the employees. I can certainly agree there are quite a few that did not want to be there. They looked and acted quite miserably. But there were also many employees that went out of their way for us so they are not all bad. The room was very clean. Looked like it had been done over recently so we lucked out there. The food was definitely pricey if you eat at the hotel. In my opinion it is not worth the price but we paid purely for convenience. Traveling around with the two year old was not the easiest. Overall I would recommend this hotel. It met all of our expectations.

I have a mix experience with the staff at Divi. Some are very nice and is very willing to help but there were a few that was not so helpful. But my major problem with the hotel is how stale the room smell. The wifi doesn't work and the lighting is so dark. I do love that there is a patio that we can sit outside and enjoy the breeze. I guess that's why I am giving it a 3 bc I've been to a resort with 4 rating and it was much cleaner and more modern for the same price as this resort. My mom and I make the best of it regardless. We enjoyed Aruba with our planned activities but the resort didn't really give us a satisfying experience.

The room is bigger than we expected. It even had kitchen. There was a lot of amminities which we regretted not utilizing because we're always outside. The hotel is close to downtown and the strip.

Hotel beach is right on the road. Noisy AC and refrigerator in room. Staff not particularly helpful resolving problems. Our room flooded in the rain as the outside patio floor and the entrance hallway floor both slope TOWARD the room. Seems like the builder didn't own a level or understand that water runs downhill. I recommend this resort only if you are able to reserve a room in one of the newer buildings and prefer staying around a pool rather than a beach. There are better options in Aruba.

The food was average, but extremely overpriced. We often ate away from this facility. The "all inclusive" offered to us was also overpriced, and we declined. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Probably would choose a different facility next time.

We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite - pool & golf landscape view... great view & the rooms were very large & spacious & comfortable. The room had a living room with 1 king size bed, attached bathroom, a fully functional kitchen with granite countertops, microwave, oven, dishwasher & cooking utensils, spatulas, silverware (fork/spoons), dish detergent & also a washer dryer for laundry which was amazing (you buy your own laundry detergent). Divi resort is opposite a beach front, also very close to eagle beach & a shopping plaza where you have a subway (sandwiches), dunkin donuts, basking robins, few restaurants & it's also close to 'Superfoods' grocery store. My recommendation is to definitely get a rental car (ideally a 4x4 if you plan on seeing Arikok national park) or else you can get one of those mini cars as it's easier to explore the island by yourself rather than take those expensive tours. It's a small island so you can't get lost and if you have a map you can explore all the scenic points & landmarks/attractions on your own. We did just one tour & that was the de palm Island tour which was very very relaxing as it was all inclusive (breakfast, lunch & snacks) with snorkeling (includes gear) ,zip lining, banana boat ride, etc. Money well spent!! All in all Divi was a great resort with great service & Good amenities.

Nice hotel. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Showing some signs of age. Pool could have been a little cleaner.

IVE STAYED AT MANY DIVI RESORTS AND HAVE YET TO BE DISSAPOINTED. BEST LUNCH WRAPS IN ARUBA AT THEIR BAR IN THE MIDDLE ON THE GOLF SIDE. I HAD THE ONE BEDROOM SUITE. HUGE ROOM. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Room was very nice, plenty of space. Property was very large and well kept. Walk out to beach across the street.

The suites were nice, as was the infinity pool with swim- up bar overlooking the golf course. There were other pools on site, but this was the biggest and best for all ages. Although Aruba claims to be a happy, friendly island, we were disappointed that the majority of employees at Divi were not friendly. The young bellman dropped us off at our building and left my 70 year old boyfriend (who has heart disease) to carry our heavy suitcase up the three flights of stairs (after we gave him a tip) which was very exerting. The weather was great everyday, about 88 degrees and no rain, which is the norm there. However, it is quite windy 24/7. A calm day seems to be winds at 25 mph. There aren't a lot of things to do in the immediate area, and it isn't a partying place, if that is what you are into. We enjoyed the restaurants at Divi Village but were interested in trying one of the nearby All Inclusive Divi properties one day (which is encouraged), but they make it difficult to do... You have to get an employee's attention in the restaurant to give you a menu, decide exactly what you want to order, go to the reception area and prepay, then return to the restaurant to get a table.

Overall the hotel is great, the grounds are excellent, very well kept, the staff was polite and helpful. The rooms are spacious but probably need a bit renovation. The beach is wonderful and just across the street, was never crowded and had chairs for everyone. Breakfast buffet has choices but was the same everyday. There is also no elevator, for us was ok, but I'm not sure for families traveling with kids. We also tried Mulligans restaurant and it was fabulous, loved the Carribean Mac 'n Cheese

Stayed here for 3 days and still waiting for my extra towels to be delivered I requested from the first day (requires manager approval, which I guess was denied). Staff is extremely slow at everything. Overall it was a nice property that is being renovated.

We did an all inclusive and think that's the way to go at the Divi Golf with 7 restaurants and wonderful pools. Villa's are being remodeled and think it'll only get better! Loved the Sunset Cruise on the catamaran and will do on every trip there!

We had so much fun on our honeymoon. The golf resort and surrounding resorts we had access to as part of our all inclusive plan were gorgeous and amazing. We drank, ate and got as much sun as possible.

First, the property is very spacious. Staff is very courteous and will shuttle you around the property, but be prepared to walk back. The pools on the property are lovely and the swim-up bar beautiful, particularly in the afternoon. For a quick bite, grab a burger or pizza near the golf course. The property operates a 2nd story lounge across the road. Stop in for a sunset drink with Jimmy for a time you'll never forget.

I have a timeshare at this resort, but came in early so needed to book a room - stayed at the Golf Villas, love this resort but our particular room needed some upgrades. The other villas have been renovated and I believe the Golf Villas are on the schedule

Wonderful infinity pool. All staff were so kind. The frnt beach is the perfect beach.

It was our first time at the Divi & were greatly disappointed. Upon check in, the staff was not very helpful or courteous. We were not able to access our room till after 4:30. We had several housekeeping issues that we asked to be addressed & never were. Service at the pool bar was EXTREMELY slow, there was no service at the beach at all. We have been coming to Aruba for many years & stayed at the Divi for a wedding. Thankfully we have met many wonderful people from the island over the years & this did not ruin our past experience of the island, but I fear that first timers experiencing this may be turned off & away from this wonderful island.

This hotel is really nice if u are just in the islanf to get relax and enjoy ur days. Beautiful beach, clean sand. Is a good choice for ur next time in aruba.

my husband and I went to divi village beginning of may this year. was wonderful, weather was nice and warm but the winds were high. nevertheless had a great time. The rioom was nice for what we needed. will go again.
