We chose this hotel because it had parking space for our rental. It's a good hotel but a bit far from downtown. If you want something close to downtown then this is not the best choice. A shopping mall is next door. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and was located in a quiet corner of the hotel. We were very happy with this; we had two nights of great sleep with no noise at all! The cafeteria/restaurant we did not enjoy. Went down for a late breakfast and was told that the kitchen was closed even though we wanted something very simple like scrambled eggs and toast. In fact, the servers were very unfriendly and not very helpful or willing to help satisfy our needs. We did not even attempt to have breakfast there the next morning. We did have dinner the first night, which was okay, but went to the Chinese restaurant next door the next day.
A really poor breakfast with a small corner that doesn't worst the effort. The room is ok but not a luxury. The parking to the car is outside without vigilance. But the worst was the fact that I agreed (using booking) the late check-out (two hours more - the genius deal available on booking) and the broke the deal calling again and again to the room to make us leave since they were over booked. We were out of the room at 12h15 because the teasing us so hard that was the only way... bad company to deal on.
Probably our most expensive accommodation for our entire trip but most was booked out for the Vitoria-Gasteiz Marathon this weekend, so choice was limited. Good size rooms with fridge & microwave were comfortable. Staff were very friendly & all reception staff spoke English. Wifi reception in our room on the second floor was almost nonexistent. My wife's old IPhone worked but mine didn't nor did our IPads. They have a different network for the reception area & we were able to use that but it was inconvenient. Management tried to boost the signal for us but it made no difference, then said they would get in a contractor but as this was a Friday night it had not happened by the time we left Monday morning. If it wasn't for that it would all have been good. Were a little disappointed that we were not offered a different room as they certainly did not appear to be full.
Great location- it's right next to a shopping mall and just a 15 minute wale to the Plaza Virgen Blanca. Friendly, accommodating, and helpful staff most of whom speak English. Breakfast tends to be cold around 930am. If you put a do not disturb sign on your door the cleaning staff will still bug you about wanting to clean your room. The adjoined beds which are in most of the rooms are a sleeping hazard because there is nothing keeping them together which means if you tend to sleep in the middle the beds can be pushed apart and you can fall through. Sometimes the kitchen staff in the cafeteria are inconsistent in the way they prepare the food. Over all I enjoyed my stay there and would stay there again possibly but with a Jr suite because this is the only type of room with a single bed setup.
Fantastic hotel with lovely staff. Easy to find which we were grateful for. We stayed in a large suite that can be converted to add beds for other guests if required. Very modern and comfortable. As someone with a bad back and knees I was especially grateful for what I call normal height seats, something often missing in the more traditional locations. As were tired after a long journey and it was a public holiday we decided to give the Cafeteria a try for our dinner. What incredible value... We have puntillos (baby squid) at Euro 6.5 to start and then main meals of a Burger for my husband and a chicken breast for me at under Eur 9 each with very generous portions.
The building itself is not very attractive and its location at a busy city road not ideal, but the hotel is modern with all amenities a tired traveler requires. The only room type available during my stay was a junior suite (room 101), so this review is valid only for this type of room. The suite (at 112 Euros including covered parking and breakfast) was certainly well worth the money; a decently sized living room with build-in kitchenette and a large bedroom together with a spacious bathroom was certainly better than in most similar four-star rated places. The hotel features a free parking lot in front of the building or alternatively two underground floors of indoor parking at a 10 Euros surcharge. The free wireless internet measured at an impressive 7 MB/s download and 0.8 MB/s upload and the reception strength in my room was excellent. The breakfast was very good with cooked and continental style available. The reception staff are friendly and professional. The room itself featured some gremlins you wouldn't expect a competent management to let slip through; the window in the living room wouldn't close properly, meaning that the noise from the busy road outside was more audible than necessary, the toilet roll holder had been fixed 180 degrees transverse, meaning the toilet rolls would just slide off the holder because the latch to prevent this was upside down, the bidet hot and cold water pipes are fitted the wrong way round and on leaving the room the motion sensors that should activate the corridor lights towards the elevator/lift were so badly aligned that you had to walk to the lift in darkness, as the lights would only activate when reaching the lift. None of these gremlins however did spoil the good overall impression of the hotel. The spoiling instead was done at about 9 pm when the reception rang (I was just about to go to bed after a long day) and informed me that the night manager had decided that I had to pay the full room price in advance - now. At the reception desk I was told in no unclear terms that I had to pay in full now or else... On checking in I had given the receptionist my passport and my credit card so that they could pre-clear the amount right then. No explanation was given for this unprecedented act of customer mismanagement, so I obliged and rather settled the bill before the manager decided to impound my vehicle as security. Being blackmailed by a junior hotel manager was certainly a first for me, so understandably I can only give zero points for service here in spite of the friendly front-line staff. If I have to pay for my room in the middle of the night at the Boulevard, then next time I might consider the Jardines de Uleta instead where most of the time the receptionist has been replaced by an automated credit-card based room-key dispenser.
Staff are multilingual, welcoming and understandable. Hotel is very nice, and not too far from old town (10-15 mins walk). We were given a studio apartment with kitchenette, large bathroom, living area and two bedrooms for a good price.
The Hotel is strategically located with good complimentary break fast and a attached restaurant & Bar. Totally a good place to stay hygiene, calm, good hospitality , good breakfast , good dinner, liquor and shopping at the nearest , largest shopping mall " el boulevard " Photos are not of the hotel's as the pics on Trip advisor same @ hotel as good as we see in photos. But the uploaded photos are nearby mall and surroundings
We booked this hotel on our way back from Southern Spain to catch a ferry from Bilbao. We booked a Junior Suite which only cost £84 for two nights. Very comfortable and modern and ideal for our perpose.
We choose the Sercotel Boulevard, as we planned to drive to such places as Santander and Bilbao, and this hotel is situated just by one of the big roads out of town. The walking distance to the old town of Vitoria was longer than expected though, but maybe you need a little walking after a good dinner. The hotel offers free parking on a secure area, access to two PC´s in the reception area and free Wi-Fi elsewhere. In the reception there were also a vendor machine for local bus tickets - a good service. The hotel has both a buffet and an a la carte restaurant – both easily forgotten except for the low prices. Rooms was quite common, but with all necessities and a good bathroom. You do not choose this hotel for its surroundings but it suited our purpose quite well.
