On arrival I found the receptionist very abrupt and not really helpful. The foyer was attractive. Our room left much to be desired and needs renovation.. It was grubby, the carpets needed a good clean or replaced, the furniture was battered and dated the walls were marked and grubby. The bathroom had been modernized and was roomy and well appointed. The hallway carpets were also grubby and marked. The dining room was fine and staff friendly.
Shower was dirty and black of moist, also carpet was very old and had many dirty spots on it, cannot recommend a stay here if u are looking for a pleasent stay. Also it is situated direct beside a motorway, but to be fair, you dont hear that much traffic. Breakfast was okay, but not more
Perfect location, the bus station is near (bus schedules often enough). The hotel is very good, the staff is friendly and attentive, but very expensive for one person! While I was one person, I paid it as a double room.
Wonderful staff, amazing food, clean and tidy rooms. Felt like our home away from home. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They were also good at recommending tourist attractions close by. Would highly recommend.
Just off the highway (but you can't hear any traffic noise, or any other noise as the hotel is located alone in a wooded area) - it's easy to find and has a huge, free car park on site. Rooms are good (not wonderful); I've stayed here many times and I find that the first floor rooms (there is only a ground and first floor) are considerably quieter than rooms on the ground floor - even the walls seem thinner on the ground floor but that could just be my imagination! No in-room tea/coffee making facilities (I've resorted to taking my own kettle!). Food in general is delicious! Breakfast is superb - probably one of the best I've had in recent memory. I always eat way-too-much here - I know I shouldn't, but I'll be doing exactly the same next time :-) Dinner is also very nice here - staff are wonderful! - but a tad on the pricey side. I was disappointed on my last visit because they've now removed the (delicious) salad bar which you could help yourself to. I guess they are reducing costs and squeezing profit everywhere they can. Pity. That said, I've already booked for our next visit - we have only every stayed one night at a time and it has always been a Saturday night - and am already looking forward to the breakfast :-)
Very friendly staff and nice and clean rooms. It looks however like the architect of the bathroom was drunk when he designed it. The button to flush was hidden underneath the sink and quite difficult to reach. The breakfast was nice as well, but write pricy though.
Very good for a nice stop during a business travel. Parking is great with possibility to charge electric cars ! Rooms are clean and quite position in middle of green... Welcoming at the reception was great even if was late at night... The buiding is big with a lot of space for clients... Stay there if you can !
Nice enough hotel for a couple of nights; easy to get to location. Room ok; basic but clean but no safe in the room, no coffee/tea making facilities, no fitness room, no swimming pool. Great hire bikes (7 gears) Lovely area to explore. Very friendly, helpful staff. They let our friends use our room to shower, after a long bike ride, before we used the restaurant for an evening meal; they supplied our friends with lots of towels etc - nice :-) Interior looks a bit 'tired' and not too clean in places (think stains on the material of sofas and chairs.) Not a great atmosphere in the restaurant; windows are difficult to look out of. Nice food though; we had 2 evening meals there because we found it too far to go into Arnhem after a long day. Salad bar to help yourself to was a lovely idea. Selection of beers/drink ok - nothing special but enough to try a few in an evening.
Recently stayed at the Postillion. Wouldn't stay again. Breakfast was average, queues for the one tea/coffee machine every morning. Large group of guests sitting in the corridors, laughing and shouting, slamming doors from 18:00 to 20:30 on one night and again at 02:00 in the morning. We first complained at 20:00, and were told the party would be going out soon! When we asked what happens when they come back, we were advised to ring reception and the security guard would deal with it. When the noise started up again at about 01:30, we tried phoning reception, but no response. So my husband, had to go out into the corridor to ask the revellers to move away from the corridor, and keep the noise down. Other points, room dull and in need of updating.
We stopped here for lunch during our journey to Rotterdam from Croatia. The hotel has a great menu, great choice. The service was both faultless & friendly. The price of the lunch was 30 euro, not much more expensive than at the motorway services, but far superior in quality.
