Best budget accommodation in Armidale Wonderful breakfast choices Large clean and tidy room Clean linen and comfy beds Great TV reception Don't forget to turn the temperature up on the fridge 👌 Thanks Phil

Lovely people at the service desk who were very helpful. I am giving this motel 2 stars because we were given a budget room for our stay, being on a really busy weekend in Armidale as every other motel was almost booked out. I am sure the newer refurbished rooms at this place are worthy of a higher star rating though. Very basic budget room which is tired and needs a huge facelift. The sink is in the main room and not in the bathroom. Turning the heater on, it's blowing into your face as you stand in front of the mirror in front of the sink. Beds were ok. Small room but plenty of bench space to put our stuff. Quiet location.

We stayed over Easter in one of the older units with great views over the city. Spacious and very clean - you'd hardly know they were 'un-renovated'. The inclusion of a microwave in the room was very handy but no dining crockery or cutlery was included in room, so BYO. The hotel offers breakfast and dinner deliveries from local restaurants as well as the purchase of drinks and a range of frozen meals at reception - very handy if you arrive late. The owner was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. There's a pool too for warmer months. It's north facing location would make this very pleasant during the winter months but beware of the very powerful extractor fan/light in the unheated bathroom which made for chilly morning showers. Located just off the northernmost exit of the New England Highway and an easy 5 minute drive into town - parking no problem.

Beautifully maintained Motel, very clean rooms and greeted very warmly at reception, The rooms are large, clean and air conditioned, which was greatly appreciated. Rae and her husband are very friendly and will do anything to accommodate your needs. There is no restaurant on site but they do offer a room service dinner via the local pub. My advice here is you are better taking the drive yourself into Armidale and eating. As by the time they drive into town and collect your meal its not very appetising.

We enjoyed our night in the clean, comfortable superior queen room at this lodge. The room had a lovely shower and plenty of bench space. As well as room service from a local by hotel, there are microwave meals on sale at the office. The Econo Lodge is only a few minutes from the north roundabout on the highway, so is perfect for those like us who were just passing through. We will definitely be making this our regular stop on our way to and from the south in future.

The family stayed here overnight on the way through Armidale and were greeted very warmly at reception. The room was large and very clean, and nicely decorated. Every thing you could need was in the cupboard for you to use, toasters and cutlery. Another plus was the pool. It surprised us how many places in town didnt have one. And with little kids yelling pool pool pool as we drove past, that was important. We all had a good night sleep. It was a great stay. Thank you.

Stayed here as a second choice as the motel and room that we had originally booked didn't have air conditioning, so we had to cancel. The room at the Ecno Lodge was very roomy yet I did think it was rather strange that the hand basin for the bathroom was in the kitchenette. Unfortunately, the bedding was not as clean as I would have liked. Wouldn't stay here again.

I'm a Mum travelling with three young children. We needed an overnight stop after a long day of driving. This motel ticked all the boxes; Reasonably priced (we had a triple budget room), very clean, comfortable beds, quiet room, very friendly hosts, pool and free wifi. The lovely hosts allowed me to park my vehicle and trailer in a convenient spot for departure and they even assisted me as I left as I'm a hopeless trailer backer! Many thanks for a comfortable night and a safe departure!

The Econo Lodge Hideaway Armidale was a midpoint stop on an epic 12 hour solo drive. I needed a good night sleep in a place I felt comfortable in and used the TripAdvisor family to find a place to stay. From check-in to slipping out in the wee hours, this was a lovely hotel. The hostess was a delight and made me feel welcomed at once. Provided with fresh milk! for tea. Room was large and very clean. Updated in the best way - new linen and amazingly fluffy towels. For the convenience of a good night's sleep and a lovely quite location, I would not hesitate to stay again.
