This is my third visit and it remains excellent. The location is good with access to beaches close by but still enjoy the village life the most. Markets twice a week. Collioure and Perpignan are minutes away via train or car. Breakfasts are a must, beds and bedding are excellent, facilities very good. Spacious rooms and an all around pleasant stay. The hosts are the best. Will keep on coming here...John H

Excellent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Exceptional. The welcome, hospitality and attention to detail from John, Matthieu, Lindsey and all the staff was first class. We had clear instructions on what to do pre-arrival. When we did get to the free parking, Matthieu came right away on his bike to pick up our luggage as walked the very short journey to the hotel. The rooms are extremely clean and well decorated. The beds are super comfy. The courtyard outside in the small square is an amazing hub of activity and perfect place for coffee. Nothing was too much trouble for our week long stay at L´Hostalet in this pretty little village.

A beautiful and quaint inn, situated in the heart of an old French village. The back patio is beautifully shaded and a meeting place for guests and locals alike. The bed was perfect as were the pillows. Our hosts were FANTASTIC, friendly, accomodating, helpful and just super nice people. Really good coffee and breakfast topped it off. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Had a coffee and cake here a few years back and said I would love to actually come back and stay here one day - so we did. We’ve just had a fabulous 3 nights with wonderful hospitality, a great breakfast every morning so I think that’s earned a tick on the bucket list. Amazing place - if you ever get a chance to go its just perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at L’Hostalet. The team are friendly, knowledgeable about the area and restaurants, and could not have done more to make our short stay memorable. The bed was lovely and comfortable. The rooms are air conditioned. The breakfast served outside on the terrace was wonderful with a beautifully presented plate of fruit, homemade jams and bread / croissants and good coffee. Parking is free and it’s a lovely touch to collect and return luggage by trailer / bicycle. The little streets around the hotel are lovely for a wander and we ate at an excellent restaurant in walking distance as recommended by the hotel. We will definitely be back to this little gem of a hotel - thank you for a lovely stay 🙂

A little gem is an apt description.

We enjoyed our stay at and will definitely return to stay at this little gem. Now and then you find that special place that just ticks all the boxes and L'Hostalet is one such a place. Our room with views was charming and stylish with a large comfortable bed and fine linen. I was struck by the high standard of cleanliness. Breakfast L'Hostalet is a must. Mathieu was a delightful host giving the best of sevice to his guest to make their stay enjoyable.

exceptional!!!

Would give six stars if we could. The hotel Is stunning with comfortable beds, air con, lovely modern bathrooms, views of the quaint pretty streets and a cafe/bar downstairs in the centre square. Service is impeccable. Owner went out of his way to help us: offered to wash our clothes after a bike trip, checked us in with no fuss when we arrived late, shared local restaraunt/museums/sights tips, and during the urgent U.K. quarantine period went out of his way to help in any way possible (including holding our bikes, helping to ship them, providing tools to pack our bikes, checking us out early and selling our extra nights off). This hotel was already 5/5 before a horrible rush to leave France and we can’t thank L’Hostalet enough for a great holiday and then extensive emergency assistance.

Charming, well run small hotel. Spacious room and quiet even on a busy pedestrian village street. Owners very accommodating and kind. Very convenient location to shops, restaurants and train station, beach transport. Only recommendation is the addition of a makeup or shaving mirror in the modern bathroom.

A great stay. Hotel was beside restaurants and shops. Although in the centre of old town we heard no noise and had a great nights sleep in a comfortable bed. Everything was spotless and clean.Staff were helpful and friendly.

Quiet little retreat from the world

It was warm and welcoming. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Lots of little touches from local homemade soap that you don't want to leave behind, to the hospitality to the fridge in the room to the cleanliness I could go on.
