Your stay in Villa Kristina is self- catered; you will find that the house is equipped with a everything that it is needed to make your stay comfortable!

The villa has been thoughtfully designed and planned. All principal rooms both on the ground floor and first floor bedrooms have double doors opening into balconies/terraces, all with sea views. There are magnificent views across to Almyros Bay (70 km) and mountain views.

Outside are 3 pergolas areas (all with lights and electric sockets) with numerous seating options for those relaxing al fresco meals, all overlooking the pool, and with panoramic sea views. Outdoor kitchen and living area (couch, table, chairs, dining table), wood oven and large stone built BBQ and most of these areas receive the villa wi fi signal.

The tiled pool is an integral part of the villa, and is on the same level as the villa. The pool has tiled steps leading into the pool. The pool is the same level throughout of 1.5m

The village is within easy reach where there are a choice of supermarkets, kafeneons and restaurants.

The owners employ a maintenance company who are based in the village who look after the cleaning and smooth running of the villa.
The owners provide a WiFi Internet connection (provided free of charge) TV Satellite, Smart TV.

Absolutely amazing

You couldn’t ask for anything more. The villa was stunning. We didn’t won’t for anything. It had everything you need and more. The Host Sella was absolutely amazing with all the places to go to and places to eat she was so generous . The welcome basket was so wonderful touch. Id highly recommend a beautiful place to stay.

An excellent stay

Villa Kristina has a wonderful pool and outside area, located in a very rural location which is peaceful with stunning views out to sea to the North. The interior offered everything we needed, it is dated and the bathrooms are quite small but all that we needed for a family stay. Stella was an excellent host where nothing was too much trouble and excellent communication and recommendations. Thank you.

Great stay at Villa Kristina

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Kristina for a week as a group of friends along with our small toddler. The pool and view beyond it are fantastic, Stella is a very helpful and kind host and it's in good striking distance of many nice beaches / swimming spots, as well as a both Rethymno and Chania. Wouldn't hestitate to recommend!

Lovely clean villa very well managed by host and local manager

The weather was a bit cold but our host ensured we had heating and suitable bedding. The pool is sparkling and villa well equipped for all our needs. Advice on local restaurants etc was exceptional and expansive, every recommendation we took up was better than anticipated.

Lovely home!

Villa Kristina was a wonderful base for our first trip to Crete, we could have stayed for much longer! We loved the views of the sea, the stars at night, the pool, and exploring the nearby beaches and towns. Stella was very helpful with many recommendations that made for a great stay!

August 2022 family holiday

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Katrina. Stella provided so much useful information about the villa, car hire, local area and things to do, both upfront and during our stay - nothing was too much trouble and any queries/issues were all sorted very promptly. The villa itself was fantastic - very comfy beds and sun beds, fantastic views and great pool and outdoor areas. The pizza oven was a big hit! The village is also lovely - all the locals very friendly and two great restaurants. Overall just what we all needed for our first holiday abroad in three years - thank you. Hopefully we will be back!!

Amazing villa and great host

Villa Kristina is a fantastic place to stay - the location and setting were lovely with great views. Despite being a last-minute booking, Stella provided a level of information, service and advice that was second to none. The villa was equipped with everything we needed and was spotlessly clean on arrival. In 25 years of hiring villas, I don’t think we have ever seen a pool that has stayed so clean and inviting! We really couldn’t fault the villa nor Stella’s attention to detail and prompt and efficient communication. Very impressed!

Beautiful villa

We made a last minute booking for this property during the Coronavirus outbreak which was a bit of a risk. We needn’t have worried- there were lots of measures in place to ensure the villa was clean- remote controls in plastic bags, antibacterial products all provided. Communication from the owner, Stella, was superb throughout. The property is beautiful with so many outdoor spaces to relax. The kids spent hours in the pool (a bit cool at first but perfect once you’re in!) Indoors there is everything you need, including a decent sized tv, washing machine, microwave, coffee machine. The property isn’t overlooked so It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, with the sound of cicadas, the occasional goat and cockerel. The stars at night are spectacular! However, 10 minutes away (up a bit of a hill) is the village which had 3 tavernas. We ended up eating out most nights as it felt perfectly safe. We had a hire car to visit the beach, some nearby villages and lakes. Really recommend the pedalo boats on Lake Kournas, where you can spot turtles swimming and then eat in one of the many tavernas (NB watch out for the many hairpin bends on the roads in in Crete!) This was a lovely, relaxing break in a beautiful setting and we would definitely return.

Can’t wait to go back next year!

Our holiday at Villa Kristina was everything we had hoped for it to be and more. The villa has the most wonderful views out to sea and a gorgeous pool to soak up the sun and relax. It provides all the amenities needed for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday and is a very comfortable home. We loved the location, it felt secluded but close enough to all amenities and the village of Kefalas is very quaint and has some wonderful tavernas to eat or enjoy a drink at. Stella was brilliant with communication and made sure we got there safely, it was a struggle to find in the dark but we found her instructions very useful. We were also grateful for all the recommendations for the local area and our lovely cakes that were delivered to us on our anniversary. All in all, we couldn’t have wished for a better holiday and can’t wait to visit again. Thank you!

Cretan Gem

We chose this property as we had stayed in a neighbouring property the previous year and enjoyed the village and surrounding area, and wanted to return. Villa Kristina did not disappoint! It is in a quiet, private area with views out over the sea and down the coast towards Rethymno, but within easy walking distance of the village centre, with landscaped garden and welcoming pool. The house itself is very tastefully decorated and is equipped for a family stay. The owner has been incredibly easy to contact and has been welcoming and helpful throughout the process and stay. The surrounding towns and villages of the Apokorokos area are charming, welcoming, and with tavernas almost everywhere you go. The property is also well situated for trips to the bigger towns of Chania and Rethymno, and also, for the active/adventurous, the many amazing natural activities on offer in western Crete, including the Samaria and Imbros gorges, many watersports, etc. My only reservation in recommending this property so highly is my selfish desire to return there, and be able to keep it all to myself when booking!

Tranquil and very private setting far from the crowds of Chania

Villa Kristina was all we wanted - exactly as described and extremely well provided for as if a home rather than a holiday rental. We enjoyed a relaxing stay with our adult daughters - loved going to surrounding villages, admiring beautiful views of the coast and White Mountains and enjoyed Chania and Rethymnon. The setting is so peaceful with the gentle sound of cicadas and the muffled bells on the goats. The flowers were especially beautiful at this time of year and we loved the beautifully kept garden. Frank was always quick to reply and incredibly helpful - and just sorry that in 36 degrees we did not, in the end, make the pizzas despite excellent instructions. One thing we particularly loved was the extensive choice of seating around the property - sun beds, breakfast table with view of the pool, seats and table up on the balcony with a view down the coast to Rethymon and, best of all, the breeze which blew through the covered shade where we found wonderful sofa chairs and another choice of where to sit to eat - this time next to the enormous barbecue. Many thanks for a great stay and a wonderful way for us to celebrate two big birthdays!

Beautiful villa in a quiet location overlooking the sea.

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Kristina. The villa is beautiful and very well equipped for dining at home. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and tastefully decorated.The kitchen has everything needed for dining in and the outdoor areas were fantastic for sunbathing, evening meals and relaxing. A short walk away is a fantastic taverna that makes the best food we have ever tasted on the island and is clearly very popular, ( the path is steep in places and you do need a torch). The village has two general shops and are handy as they stay open long hours. The owner met us on the first day and was most welcoming and a pool attendant came once in the week and ensured the pool was sparkling. Communication with the owner prior to the visit was clear and efficient and couldn't have been more helpful. Altogether it was a wonderful holiday.

Fantastic very well equipped villa

Our family have had a fantastic holiday in this villa. It's in such a peaceful location overlooking the sea. The views are fantastic my son loved getting up early to see the sunrise on the balcony and bird watching. The pool was lovely too and big enough to do a few lengths everyday! The villa is very well equipped and was spotlessly clean. The surrounding area was fab to explore and very beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would return. Frank was very helpful​ and we got a great car rental from his recommendation.

Beautiful Villa in an Amazing Location

We have just returned from our 10th Holiday to Crete and had an amazing 2 week break at Villa Kristina with our two children (4 and 11), it must be the best accommodation I’ve had whilst visiting the island since 1980. It truly is a Beautiful Villa that is fully equipped with everything you might possibly need for a relaxing holiday, the multiple eating areas meant that you could find shade any time of the day whilst alfresco dining, topped off with the excellent outdoor kitchen meant for fun times with my 4 year old son cooking in the Pizza Oven with “Real Fire Dad” The Views are to die for, multiple terraces all facing out to sea with every bedroom benefitting from this, a lovely way to wake up in the morning ! The outdoor lounge was fantastic, which is an excellent shaded area with comfortable seats that was generally about 10 degrees cooler than being out in the sun. The pool kept the kids (big and small) amused for hours, regularly maintained and essential to cool off after many day trips to a really traditional and interesting part of Crete. The Village of Kefalas is only a short 15 min walk from the Villa where you’ll find an excellent restaurant Meterizi which is very reasonably priced and the food is really good – they had specials every night we went which made for a more varied eating experience. There is also Maddies Kaffeion which is also a great place to eat / drink and enjoy the local village life. There are 2 small Mini Markets in town which are pretty limited but good for picking up essentials, for self-catering we found that Vamos (a short 10 min drive away) had everything we needed, Jon the English Butcher was excellent and made it much easier buying cuts of meat that you could recognise ;-) he also makes his own Sausages with many flavours! There is a lovely Bakery and also a great Delicatessen (which is hard to see initially but can be found in the main square on the corner opposite the Pharmacy). Frank and Christine were excellent hosts, from the start of the booking process communication was always really quick and nothing seemed to much trouble, (Frank even sent me recipes to try out in the outdoor oven). Everything was exactly as described and it was lovely to meet Frank on our first couple of days just to make sure we knew how everything worked. I have no hesitation in recommending this outstanding property or booking through Frank as we had the most fantastic holiday and would love to go back soon. Ed and Amy

Kefalas Villa

Beautiful villa with stunning views. After an early hours arrival it was fab to wake up to Greek sunshine, a cooling breeze and essentials in the fridge. The villa was immaculate and the many outdoor seating areas allowed family members shade throughout the day. The village of Kefalas was a pleasant 10 minute stroll and contained two small supermarkets and an amazing Taverna- Metepizi. We ate there on several occasions and could not fault the food and helpful owners. Nearest beaches were Almyrida- thin sandy beach but lovely shallow calm water. We ate there a couple of evenings on the shore which was most pleasant. Georgioupolis is bigger and busier and the water is more choppy. Overall we loved the villa and its location but the roads up to Kefalas are quite winding in places - which you need to get use to. Thank you to Frank and Christine for their help and advice .

We would just like to say how much we enjoyed our stay in Kefalas, the villa was really comfortable and the welcome pack was a godsend as we didn't arrive until 11:30 pm on Saturday so it meant we had some supplies for breakfast the following day. Die Villa Kristina liegt in ruhiger Lage am Berg mit einem schönen Blick aufs Meer und den Sonnenaufgang. Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine etc. und auch Geschirr ist reichlich vorhanden. In den drei Schlafzimmern gibt es große Schränke, um alles gut zu verstauen und auch die Betten sind äußerst bequem. Der Außenbereich ist abwechslungsreich gestaltet. Es gibt einen großen Pool mit Sonnenliegen und Schirmen sowie mehrere überdachte und sonnengeschützte Sitzplätze. Die Outdoorküche mit Grill, Pizzaofen. Spülbecken und großem Sitzbereich ist perfekt für ein gemütliches Abendessen. Zur Einstimmung auf unseren Urlaub erhielten wir von Gastgeberin Stella vorab sehr viele Informationen (empfehlenswerte Tavernen, Ausflugstips, nützliche Allgemeinfos). Auch während unseres Aufenthaltes war sie jederzeit ansprechbar und sehr bemüht, uns einen perfekten Aufenthalt zu bieten. Wir haben uns in der Villa Kristina sehr wohl gefühlt und einen wundervollen Irlaub verbracht. Herzlichen Dank :-)

Don't Freeze in Greece

Everything Stella wrote in the ad is true. It is a wonderful, clean and comfortable house with plenty of nice places to stay inside and expecially outside. The view from the balcony, the pool and the terraces to the sea is unforgettable. Stella, the landlady, is only as far away as your mobile phone is. She knows perfecty well all you can imagine about places to go and things to see. Couldn't be more helpful from the distance. Just in time via WhatsApp. Thank you for everything! Traumurlaub mit Frau und Enkelkind in sehr schönem gut eingerichteten Ferienhaus mit tollem Pool, Meerblick in ruhiger Lage. Die Vermieterin war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Ein Auto ist erforderlich.

Traumhaft schöne Villa

Wir verbrachten gemeinsam mit unseren 18 + 21 Jahre alten Töchtern 2 herrliche Wochen in dieser schönen Villa. Alles entspricht genau der Beschreibung. Ein sehr schöner Pool mit einem traumhaften Blick aufs Meer. Wie beschrieben, sind fußläufig einige Tavernen und kleine Lebensmittelgeschäfte erreichbar. Gastgeberin Stella hat uns mit unzähligen Tipps für Restaurants und Ausflüge versorgt und war bei Fragen jederzeit erreichbar. Wir können diese schöne Villa absolut weiter empfehlen.
