Forget about the location, swimming pool or the cafeteria. The reception was blazing hot.and you need to wait for ages until the elevetor arrives.my room was untidy, and the air conditioner had no remote control. No tissues in the bath room and the towels were not kept in clean way.the food was so little that I had to eat in an outside restaurant and even the water for drinking wasn't cold.
I was in hotel Kristal Beach for summer holidays. It was great and I advise to all whom loves to travel. Cause two things in really nice in Turkey, the first and important is people of that country. They are nice and kind with strange ones and they know how to help you enjoy there. Second one is food! I love Turkish food and I hope will be there again to have " CiKofte". I remember that for swimming we left to Kemer. Another lovely place to see other French and other foreigner! Hope it was useful to you, enjoy your trip ( food, sun, shopping as well ).
If you are going for a high class hotel with excellent service then forget it. It is definitely not the usual standard I would have expected from a 3 star. The hotel had changed hands and they said they were doing their best to improve so we did take this into account. On first impressions the room looked very pleasant but on further inspection a whole panel for the shower cubicle was missing and had black mould growing in the corners. The toilet also had brown stains. The plug socket the fridge was plugged into was hanging out of the wall, a definite health and safety issue if you had small children. The rooms were cleaned daily but it was pot luck whether you got fresh towels and toilet paper. They were having trouble with the electricity whilst we were there so an alarm kept sounding during the night on one occasion which I could not work out whether it was the fire alarm or someone stuck in the lift! This seemed to affet the Wifi. On the plus side the food from the restaurant was excellent but not good if you wanted a big variety. I love Turkish food so it suited me and I enjoyed everything they had cooked. The waiters were also very good and polite. The people manning the reception also seemed very polite. The pool was clean too. The location of the hotel is excellent, opposite the beach and only a bus ride into the main city and old town. We spent a lot of time on the beach at the INAN beach cafe (5 mins walk if you turn left from the hotel) where you could get an excellent meal of fresh fish for a very reasonable price (£20 for two - sea bream with salad and drinks). Sun beds and shade also very reasonable with a waiter bringing you drinks and food to eat by the sea if you wish. This also included use of their toilet/shower facilities. Our trips to the INAN beach cafe made our holiday.
I want to emphasize, how helpful and kind was the staff! Especially Murat was like our friend and he is doing his job of his heart! The hotel was good! Big rooms with view, except bathroom which was old, but tolerated. The price was very very low! The next time we ll visit antalya, we ll booked again in Kristal beach hotel!
We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights.. Its a 2* hotel although they have 4* on the sign. The beach is just few steps away and u can rent a seat and umbrella for 5 TL. Be ware of the small markets, they are Theives. The reception are very friendly and speak english and gave us directions on how to go to down town (kelechi) and other attractions. The rooms are small not very clean although they clean them each day. Its good if ur looking for a place to sleep in... We had a half board stay, same menu for our all week stay... Its close 2 aquarium, minicity and 5 min by taxi to down town... Taxis are theives as well it should cost u 10TL to down town from hotel but they might take up to 20 or 30 depends on how good u r... Busses r cheap 2TL anywhere :) shopping is great especially leather shoes :) leather jackets r from 200$ and up much more expensive then istanbul.. Every where u go u must ask for lower prices BURGEN especially if ur buying shoes clothes or doing boat trips etc... They will fid a way to steal from u :$
We spend there a nice Beach Vacation Week and can recommend this good middle Class Hotel to others. When we made booking, we did not expect anything special, but during the time in the Hotel, we really saw, that they doing there a very friendly Service to the Guests. also the Food - Breakfast Buffet and Dinner - was fresh and nice decorated. Swimmingpool was very clean there. We had a Standard Room and we found that it was in a good average and top clean.
Everything bad you have read about the hotel on reviews is so, so true! Service is terrible. Very rude cleaning lady was yelling in Turkish to leave the room if to be cleaned while the child was a sleep and by the way she was cleaning the room at any time from 11 a.m. till 7 p.m.?! The waiters were a disaster, impolite and hostile. At 8 o’clock in the morning waiter told me that there are no more cups for milk and I could only have Turkish tee for breakfast. If you want to have any choice of food you have to be first in line for breakfast and dinner. Literally first. Water in the swimming pool was greenish (read: NOT for swimming.) Hygiene was very poor (sheets with stains, towels with holes, etc). And in the room there were only two beds without a chair or anything you could set on. And for the amusement on weekend evenings we had a very loud weeding reception at the hotel terrace. Only good thing that I could say about hotel is that the price was pretty fair. But still I was expecting a little more for my money.
The location is great. Right across from the beach and a 20 minute bus ride to the Old Town of Kalichi. I think one would want to stay on the beach as Kalichi didn't have great access to the beach so this location was very good. Staying in Kaichi is fine if you want that old world charm with the restored Ottoman building but I was there for the beach... and i got the beach The lobby of the Crystal Beach is not air conditioned. If it is, they did not put in on in August. It is decorated with multi colored faux leather sofas---yellow, orange, pink and red. The lobby although clean had a odd cheesy cheap decor. White walls with fake ( they looked fake) multi colored leather sofas. Yuch. The rooms on first impression seemed spartan white with an orange touch on a sofa setting area.. On first impression the room seemed Spartan. Then the good took over. The room was actuallly quite comfortable and sizeable....It had a small balcony with a view. Air Conditioner in room could have been stronger. The staff tried very hard to accommodate and make one feel at home. The pool next to the hotel was nice after 12 noon when the shadow from the building comes off of it. The breakfasts were nice and the included dinner I found surprising delicious after another reviewer found it awful. It was cooked by Ishmael who came to my table and made sure I was happy with the meal he had cooked! He made excellent Mousakka, a potato, meat and cabbage stew which was excellent and a great green soup-- I don't know what was in it but it was green and good. All in all, I found it welcoming and comfortable. But for God sake--in August.. Air condition the lobby and get rid of those awful fake leather mult colored sofas.
Me and other two girls stay in this hotel for one week.for the beginners till the end of our stay the staff were very rude...if you are a girl without a boyfriend or a man with you the man are really desperate...in our first night the fridge have been worked and the reception send in the room a drunk guy-"maintenance" to fix the fridge...to be honest I was sock when I see it...many of the staff were drunk all most the time ...nobody got any English except the guy from reception.at the end we got the fridge replace it on the 3rd day of our stay. We got the breakfast included on our stay what was nice but one day I bought a water melon and I did the mistake to put in the kitchen fridges and I got the big surprise to see the fabulous kitchen...absolutely fealty...never again the breakfast there. For me this holiday from the beginning till the end it was a very bad expiries ...so never again in this country. Every where I went people don't speak English...in a tourist place like Antalya is a shame ...is very hard to ask for direction or something else.... Not recommended at all this hotel...I'm working in a hostel myself and I can say that is 100 time better then this hotel. They don't have a clue about what to visit there...they don't organise any trip...
My friend and I stayed at the Crystal Beach Hotel for 7 nights during the summer vacation in the middle of August 2010. It was very important for us that the location of the hotel is close to the Konyaalti Beach, actually it is just across the main road. The place is nicely done. Our room was medium size, equipped with refrigerator, television, air-conditioning, with small balcony; bathroom was with hair dryer. It was cleaned every day and the towels were changed, as well. We felt very comfortable there. Some of these days it was humid and very warm that we could hardly breath, and it is almost impossible to survive without the air-conditioner. We also liked the food that was served for dinner. They mostly served Mediterranean specialties. They had plenty of different choices including soup, salad, main dish and dessert. However, choice of dishes for breakfast was the same every day and this could be annoying if you stay there more than a few days. The staff was helpful and polite to us; they do speak English, but some of them with limited vocabulary. There is a nice outdoor swimming pool for hotel guests, however we preferred to swim in the sea. The Konyaalti Beach is shingle beach. There are some cafés next to the beach where you can take a drink or even a lunch, for example. There are a few stores at the back of the hotel and a shopping mall is 20 min. walk away, but other than that there is not much around. However, there are some minibuses which can take you to the downtown (which is very nice to see) in 30 min. and only for a few euros. All in all, I would say that this hotel has a reasonable quality/price ratio and I would recommend it in case that you want to stay there for a couple of days.
