Beautiful hotel, however, the bathrooms could do with a refurb! Packed lunch was a bit overpriced so make sure to bring your own if you are out hiking for the day! Didn’t particularly enjoy the dinner (I had a lasagne which was extremely salty) and there wasn’t a huge amount of options on the menu - unfortunately we couldn’t go anywhere else for food as this hotel is quite remote. Despite this the hotel is lovely with beautiful views and the staff seemed friendly! Sorry, just an honest review so improvements can be made for future customers!

We stayed at Cuesta Serena hotel for several nights. This was probably the best hotel we stayed ever and we travel a lot! Not far from Huaraz, in secluded area, this beautiful hotel was so welcoming after our daily hikes. The set up - you can't wish for more - surrounded by gorgeous mountains, tons of place to relax, great food and very-very welcoming stuff. We were family of four with two kids (age 12 and 16), all absolutely loved this place! Special thank you to Eva who helped us with some tips on daily hikes/trips. We would love to come back one day! We availed of the 5 day all inclusive package which includes accomodation, food and excursions. We were picked up by a private car from the bus station that took us to Cuesta Serena (30-40 mins. away from Huaraz). The moment we arrived in Cuesta Serena, we were blown away by this beautiful boutique hotel. The scenery was just amazing. From the main dining/reception area you can see the mighty peaks of the Cordillera Blanca. Everything about this place was so relaxing, you are just surrounded by nature. We were promptly shown to our room even if we arrived super early and was again blown away by the quality of the accommodation. The room looks so good, there was even a big window where we had an awesome view of the mountains. And as if things could not get any better, the food was also delicious! Although the selection of food was quite limited but everything was super delicious and fresh. Cuesta Serena also planned excursions for us so we could explore this region. The trips were quite long and often takes the whole day but the places we visited were surreal! Cuesta Serena even sent packed lunch with us which was part of the package. The thing that I enjoyed the most during the excursions was that we had our own private vehicle so we controlled our own time exploring the places. But I guess the highlight of the stay was how involved the owner, Mariana, was in taking care of her guests. She welcomed us upon our arrival and she and/or her staff would check on us at the end of the day so we can plan the activities the following morning. We were very well taken care of and had the best time at this place. We hope to be back soon! Will definitely recommend this place!

I asked my travel agent to find me the best hotel at the Callejon de Huaylas. She booked me at the Cuesta Serena, and she was right. The hotel is 20 minutes outside Huaraz, in Anta. Being outside Huaraz was a blessing, we could enjoy the views of the White Mountain Range ( Cordillera Blanca ) without the noise and hustle of that town. Our room had a fantastic view of the Huascaran the highest mountain in that region. We also had 3 lounge chairs outside the room, so we could sit down and enjoy the view. It was pure heaven. The staff was amazing. Always helpful with a smile. We had a tour that started at 630 am and they accommodated our breakfast and served it at 6 am. On our last day, to avoid Huaraz traffic, we left at 530 am. They had a packed breakfast/lunch ready for us before our trip. The food is excellent. There was not a dish we did not enjoy. If I had one complain it would be the coffee. But I have to confess I am sort of a coffee prick. I highly recommend this boutique hotel. It was the best part of a fantastic trip to this beautiful area of Peru.

My family and I stayed in this hotel during our vacation in Huaraz. From the moment we arrived everything was A+. The staff, the food, the hotel, the views of the breathtaking mountains. If and when I go back to Huaraz, I will 100% stay here. Thank you all for making our vacation very relax. R. Caruso

My wife and I went to Callejon de Huaylas to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Honestly, staying at Cuesta Serena made our trip. After long private tours, organized for us by CS, it was so pleasant to come back to such a beautiful hotel. The owners, Mariana and Charlie, were so nice and friendly, and the staff at the hotel were the nicest people. The location of the hotel, the views and everything about it was spectacular. My wife and I have traveled a lot and this is the best hotel we have stayed at. Perfect for a trip to Callejon de Huaylas!

I can highly recommend staying at Cuesta Serena. We had the pleasure of staying 2 nights with my wife and 2 daughters (3,5) and were pleased that we selected this boutique hotel for our time in/around Huaraz. We selected Cuesta Serena because our girls love to swim and this is the only place with a pool (and trampoline) in the area. The girls loved it. Overlooking the Cordillera Blanca from the beautifully manicured grounds of the hotel (hard to even call it that) was a wonderful experience. A great place to decompress and take in the stunning scenery, The food was delicious, the staff was accommodating and friendly (and speaks English if that helps). All in all, a wonderful stay. Thanks Mariana, and staff, for a memorable stay. Have fun on your trip to Colorado!

We had a wonderful time at Cuesta Serena. While 40 min away from Huaraz, we did not mind as in the end, you are better off to spend time away from the bustling city. Cueva Serena is a beautiful boutique hotel, designed and decorated with taste and personality. Excellent breakfast and quality dinner though not much choice of dishes.

This place exceeded my expections from the beginning to the end and I’d difinitley recommend it. We arrived very early (we took the night trip in bus in Cruz del Sur and we take the “colectivo” to make it to Cuesta Serena; that it’s 23km away from the center of Huaraz) The check in was 3pm (we arrive 10am or so) but we could use the services and walk around (trust me, you’d love to walk around) the concierge was sooooooooo nice with us, she offered us the breakfast (even it was past the breakfast schedule) and the teas (there’s a tea bar 24/7 open) and we stay there until we get the room, we also have lunch there (try to try all the menu : the food is AMAZING) The views from the rooms (we stayed at the yellow room) are incredible, you will always have a view to the cordillera blanca (all the rooms has a special color and a unique view)- the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is great, there’s hot water 24/7, they clean the room every day, you have the option to turn on the floor warmer or the electric heater if the days are too cold. The pool, if the day is sunny the water will ven warm... but if not... I recommend you to take a hot bath at your room. The attention was A1- the food, the location, everything... We just loved the place and of course we are going back... Thanks Mariana for everything!!!!
