The Grey Goose Hide Away, pet and family friendly with a small foot print.
This fully remodeled tiny home was redesigned with high energy efficiency in mind. A duplex unit inside its own private complex located centrally to many of Anchorages wonderful features. One can relax in the quiet and calm of the unit for a respite from the outside world or with a quick hop hit the groomed ski trails or the dog park with your canine friends. Short walk to the botanical gardens and the ski chalet and golf course at Russian Jack park. Easy access to the multitude of Muni trails
The space The Goose is a tiny slice of a set of old Anchorage homes in their own tiny compound. We have been diligently remodeling each unit inside to be unique and highly energy efficient, as well as stand alone within the compound. Each year we have added unique touches that we feel help reduce our footprint yet allow for comfort. The garden beds and communal areas we have begun planting edible forages in, some native to Alaska such as blueberries and raspberries. Others non native yet propagated for colder climates. There are four types of apple trees two types of cherry trees and a set of cold bloom pear trees. This year we are adding strawberries hopefully salmon berries and expanding the haskop berries. In our pots and baskets we try to plant natural insects repellent plants such as magnolia and citronella and rosemary and lavender. To attract pollination we have loopin lilac daisy’s and many other perennials. Each unit has their own off street parking space as well as contained yard featuring outdoor seating and barbecue areas. Do to the tiny foot print we keep items sparse and bring certain things out according to our guest’s needs such as children’s items or extra games. We also have kayaks for use upon request and additional booking. We provide animal friendly invitation to our guests. And we have outdoor security cameras for safety.
Guest access You have full access to the inside of the Goose which is labeled by the address. As well as the south face yard attached to it via the fenced in space and the dog run behind it. The sheds and crawl spaces are off access as well as other yards of the compound. It has one clearly marked off street parking space with the Goose logo posted, all other parking spaces in the compound are to the residents of those assigned units. Please be aware to park only in the space for the Goose, so neighbors do not call towing. The Coffee and Tea bar We offer a multitude of canine and non canine choices to our guest.
