I checked in Hyatt in Amritsar on Saturday. It is far from downtown. Though it was afternoon, none bothered to offer the welcome drink. The swimming pool was unavailable due to maintenance. One restaurant had closed and coffees hop was doubling as restaurant. The menu was extremely limited. Pasta was half cooked. Overall not a Hyatt kind of experience
A hotel of mixtures Some of the staff don’t seem well trained. I was given a twin room which had a interconnecting door to the next room. A very noisy neighbour destroyed my sleep. The food was just ok. On one night they closed the bar for a private reception and as they only had one that was it! The layout is somewhat strange. I wouldn’t choose this place again
My wife and I stayed at Hyatt Amritsar for two nights. We were delighted with the high quality of service we received. We had arranged for the hotel car service to bring us from the airport. The driver was so pleasant and helpful that we arranged with the hotel to get us the same driver for sightseeing in Amritsar and to take us back to the airport. The hotel serves a good buffet breakfast. We were delighted with the hotel's shuttle service to the Golden Temple.
The staff were really friendly and the breakfast spread was wonderful............................ Only on issue is the checkin process is lined with too much red tape. Simple I booked 2 rooms and I arrived early and the other party was to arrive early morning about 0045 to 1:00 am so i requested for their room key too so that when they arrived they can go up straight as they would have been traveling for about 17 hours. The front desk refused to see my point of view and insisted that they will need passports copies of those persons and i then offered to email these to the hotel and they still said no. Had to get the GM to the front desk and I explained to him the issue and told him that I have emailed the passports the the front office manager and that they can do a verification the next day once those persons have got some rest and came down in the morning for breakfast and he totally agreed. A small issue which could have been resolved in 3-5 minutes took an hour the be resolved. Too much red tape.....................check in and check out should be easy smooth and seamless.............. as all arriving at the hotel would be tired after long flights. Also rooms had a kind of a thinner smell probably because of renovation works going on. Lobby too small and not enough place to sit
The hotel cleanness and tidiness was just so so , but in the area at Amritsar this hotel are one of the choice to stay. But for the staffs they are all wonderful, the security guards ( the man and the lady), bell boy, room keeping and the staffs at the breakfast area are all good and well trained. Especially, the room keeping, as he/she found us drink penalty of bottle water and on the next day onward they are giving us 4 bottles instead of 2 bottles per day. Really appreciated for their caring and service to us. Also, there is a shopping mall just next to the hotel and this is very convenience.
We visit Hyatt Amritsar almost twice a year and i would never choose any other place in Amritsar. Its always an amazing experience. Hospitality at its best. Special thanks to Chef Vipin Mongha who has joined there recntly - and served us best kulchas and also gave us a token -the kulcha masala. Also thanks to Harbinder Singh- manager, whose hospitality makes us feel at home. Thank you Hyatt- see you soon!
Excellent time spent at Hyatt restaurant, had dinner wid Family v were 4 ppl enjoyed the chicken tikka , Amritsari fish was yummy ,on demand dishes were also good given, staff hospitality was osm, chef Tarun did a great job, met us personally given his best dishes Nd taste, must go to restaurant Nd approach me Tarun as he is very cooperative
The hotel is fine, if you need a hotel a bit further away from the Temple. The service is alright - to their credit they did offer us our room earlier. There is limited restaurant or bar service and its mostly empty. The reception was a bit rude - as they did not give us our Hyatt points despite booking two rooms as it was through a website - something a hotel chain like Hyatt should overlook. If you think this a 'Hyatt' hotel, you would be very disappointed. The rooms are okay - nothing special but comfortable.
Spent a couple of nights here with my family of 10 people. Had a wonderful time and the hospitality was amazing. Special mention to the team members, Harbinder Singh, Dalbir and Saurabh Panesar for taking care of us. Thank You again!
The overall experience was ok. While entering the hotel, you go with “Hyatt” in mind. That mindset and the actual scenario disappoints a bit. The lobby is ok, not too big. The biggest disappointment was rooms. As soon as you open the room door, you see a room which is not above an economic budget hotel. But yes, the tariffs are as per name “Hyatt”. The services in restaurant was overall lousy - many reminders need to be given for what you require. The location is good, there is an adjoining mall, which is also good. Another rude shock was that wi-fi services were shut down. Hotel said that it was as per Govt instructions but still pretty strange. The reception does take lot of time for check-in or check-out, one can find the queues if group is there. So overall ok, but does not match the “Hyatt” name.
