The Best Western Merrion in Amritsar is a lovely and quaint hotel about 2.5 kms from the Golden Temple and with very well appointed rooms. The hotel has a basic gymnasium and a very very un usable swimming pool on the rooftop. What impressed me most was the helpful and ever smiling staff of the hotel. A special mention goes to Sikander at the front desk! The hotel is top class in comfort and pretty good value on the room charges..
I have visited there with my family. The food was really delicious. The ambiance was good. Staff service as good. Total worth for money. I personally recommend Cream of Mushroom it was super delicious. Kudos to Chefs!!
Stayed a day, located around 4 km from mandir. Room is good, and staff are supportive. However, hygiene at the common areas could be improved. Food is decent, except the dining hall is dimly lit. Rooms have a good view of the city. Overall, it's a choice of value for money.
One of d bestest place to stay😊..although it was my first time in amritsar ..the food ..staff.. everything is awsome..pool is also dere ..inshort its a very affordable nd best nd saffest place to stay..
We were a family of 15 and Amritsar was the last stopover in our travel timetable. We had a terrible experience in Dharamshala and hence we called up the Best Western Merrion where we already had a two day booking from the 23rd July to 25th July. A lady by the name of Ms. Aarti picked up our call. We explained our predicament to her and told her that we would like to check-in a day earlier, that is on the 22nd of July. She politely informed us that barring one Royal Executive suite everything else was packed. However, she asked us to call back in some time. When we did call her after half an hour , she informed us that she has managed to get two Royal Executive suites for us, wherein they would accommodate three extra beds and the next day we would be moved in to our pre-booked rooms. That was one of the biggest possible help we could have bargained for and the most important thing is that monetarily, we were not fleeced by the hotel. Kudos to them for that. Ms. Aarti was even more extraordinary . When we checked in, i informed her that it was my grandson'd tenth birthday. In a flash, an appropriate greeting card was sent alongwith a birthday cake. What more can one ask for in the name of hospitality. During our stay, the varying needs of our family members were taken care of, without any fuss and this along with the overall Amritsar experience became the focal point of out ten day holiday. A memorable stay indeed. I thank all the staff members, the housekeeping, the restaurant staff , the Front Desk, but reserve my best compliment for Ms. Aarti. Without her compassion and humane understanding our vacation would have been in a mess. She proved without doubt that one person can make a difference in making fifteen souls happy.
I have attended many parties there. Its a well known hotel in amritsar. Its food is so tasty. Parking at hotel is available. Interiors are good. Located at posh area. Surronded by other hotels also. Its a nice location for having a party.
beautiful property which is located at a great place. all great eateries near by and you will have a wonderful evening for sure. not tried their buffet services but food what we have ordered was great. rooms are nice and lovely..elevator is a bit slow.
Best Western is situated at a nice location away from city but approachable. The hotel has a beautiful ambience, nice food ,clean swimming pool and very helpful staff ,specially Lokesh and front desk .I recommend this stay as it is very near to railway station and shopping mall
Stayed at this property for a couple of days on work. Good sized rooms with a good focus on comfort and convenience. The food in the restaurant is middle of the line, neither good nor bad. The breakfast spread is good with plenty of options.
I happened to stay here just for one night with family mainly as a transit halt for onward journey. I had read few reviews and my experience is not quite different from others. I have not stayed in any other hotels in Amritsar so cannot compare but I was very satisfied with my Stay. We were given a free upgrade to an Executive room from a deluxe one. That was a nice surprise. Rooms were very spacious by Indian standards. Very clean and with good furniture and upholstery. There was wall to wall carpet in entire room, which is usually unheard of in Indian mid-segment hotels. View from living room was also great too. They have wall size French windows which offer great view and good day-light. See photos attached. We were on CP plan with complimentary breakfast. Spread at breakfast was good consisting of north as well as south Indian dishes. Both were tasting good. Lassi was available along with juice but was not of Amritsar or Punjab standard. It was more like a sweet, thicker chaas. We decided to dine at their restaurant which served good ala-carta food. There was live music and singer singing old hindi numbers / gazals had a good voice. Staff was courteous too. Only flipside was fittings in Bathroom. They need immediate replacement. Toiletry kits were good and useful. Roof top pool was also in not so good condition. They should either maintain it well or should just close it. Gym though small was functional. Overall it was a good stay and value for money. I would stay again and recommend this hotel once fittings are replaced.
